Lancelot Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
They were able to get us in 45 minutes earlier than our reservations. The waiter actually asked us if it was ok for the food to come out fast! After we ordered, we received our dinner entree in about 10-15 minutes and they were very busy. The food , drinks and service was exceptional!!!!!
Once again, Lancelot's delivered on a great meal. Whenever we ski Vail, we try to make dinner one night at Lancelot's. This time we enjoyed Caesar Salad and Sea Bass on a bed of spinach. Great tastes and prepared exactly as we requested (cooked through). Service was great and friendly. Water glass never empty (which is important during high altitude adjustment) You can always count on Lancelots for a fine meal.
We had dinner there for our Anniversary. They gave us a great table and provided excellent service. They have a nice wine selection albeit a bit high on the mark up but to be expected in Vail. The bread comes fresh from the oven. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and quiet juicy. They offer straight horseradish and a cream version. The apple strudel with ice cream was a wonderful end.
While vacationing in Vail, my husband and i visited several restaurants in town for dinners. Lancelot had amazing atmosphere, incredible prime rib like I've nevet tasted before and an extensive wine list. An unintentional comparison of Apple strudels led us to Lancelot having the best of the 5 restaurants we tried! We went back the next evening after dinner at another restaurant just for dessert and an after dinner cocktail. The owner recognized us and welcomed us back.... nice touch 😊
Standard run of the mill prime rib at high price given quality. Not readily accessible for handicapped or anyone with mobility issues. Ambience ok, nothing special. Cannot justify eating there again for any reason. Restuarant dated both in menu and interior which is why few people there I would think.
This was our first visit to Lancelot, although we have been frequent visitors to Vail over the past 29 years. We were pleasantly surprised with the variety of fare. This restaurant is known for prime rib, but the menu offered a wide variety of fish, chicken, salads and inspired specials. Service was excellent, considerate and knew when to leave us alone. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, with its uptown smooth music vibe and enough space between tables that we did not hear other conversations while we talked among ourselves. Very well done, no wonder it is a Vail standard. We will be returning in the future.
Delicious, creative appetizers & cocktails, succulent prime rib cooked to perfection, excellent service. Went back on a different night and had the bass. It was excellent. Only small criticism I have is the apple streusal I had for dessert. The apples and filling were dry and pasty. After such an excellent dinner, I expected better. But that's a minor thing. Everything else was excellent and that's why I went back a 2nd time.
We never miss a trip to Lancelot's when we are at Vail. Best prime rib in the valley. Great selection of salads and starters. The King Arthur cut of prime rib and a loaded baked potato will fill the heartiest eater, but save room for dessert--mud pie and delicious apple strudel. Great fun sitting at the front right on top of Gore Creek. We love this place.
We were in Vail for our wedding anniversary and made a reservation to this pretty upscale restaurant .. Our overall experience was quite good, but there were a few "hiccups".
We made the reservation about 2 weeks before but were offered a table that was perfectly located but was a very small 2 top. I had to bicker a bit with the hostess for a seat at a small but more comfortable 4 top, and was eventually accommodated..
Our server was excellent! Food was also quite good but here is the other hiccup.. My pricey ($35) 10 oz. cut of prime rib was not cooked "medium"-- and the cut itself was not very appealing to look at . In retrospect- I should have sent it back but - It tasted good and I did ok with it.. However, a restaurant that features that dish needs to be better than just "Ok " !!
They did surprise us with a lovely complimentary apple tart that was fabulous .. Very nice..
Overall a very nice dining experience ..
