Everything was perfect from beginning to end. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server, Petya was at the table immediately, she was gracious and sweet, and anticipated our needs. She made suggestions on menu items, and although we intended to get at least one prime rib entree, the other items sounded so good and were priced right, we decided on the Scottish Salmon as one and Veal Ambrosia. We started with a shared Steamed Mussels, then shared a Caesar salad and Boston Clam Chowder. All were piping hot, delicious and timed perfectly. We were stuffed, and declined the desert menu. When we mentioned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, Petya presented us with the signature desert, (complimentary) Apple Strudel, served hot with a scoop of ice cream on the side. We were full but couldn’t resist. It was absolutely the best strudel we ever had. The apples slightly tart but packed with cinnamon and sugar goodness, each ingredient perfectly complimenting each other. The food, the atmosphere, the table by the window as people strolled by on the river walk as it started to snow, made for a magical dinner and a memorable anniversary. It’s supposed to snow heavy in Vail overnight, if we’re stuck because they close the pass, we know where we’re going for dinner, back to Lancelot.
It’s a must to order its special Lancelot meat, it’s tender and flavorful!! Jenn G. provided our family an excepcional service, super friendly with my child, going above and beyond by bringing him a bowl of fruit as a dessert (he has a dietary restriction and couldn’t have the brownie that come with his kids meal). Delicious food, great service, beautiful decor and not pretentious!
The service and food were great . I would recommend this restaurant and will return again.
Seriously, best prime rib I’ve ever had.
Every year we come to Vail, one evening we dine at Lancelot to eat prime rib—their specialty. This year the prime rib was perfectly cooked and exceptionally tasty, as were the appetizers and the apple strudel.
As always food was excellent and service outstanding. So fun to sit and people watch as they walk along the creek.
My regular go to place for prime rib when in Vail. The food is always first classs and the service spot on and friendly and efficient.
As always, a wonderful meal and the best prime rib ever!
Colorado Striped Bass was delicious & perfectly prepared!!! Also excellent service! Will definitely come back next year!!!
Dinner was absolutely delicious. We both had the specialty prime rib which melted in your mouth. Shared the crispy calamari as a starter and enjoyed some of the best broccoli as a side dish. The evening was especially nice to be welcomed by the Maitre D' who recognises the customers and makes them feel very special in fact, makes you want to return!
We like the better restaurants and checked the reviews. We liked the restaurant very much, very good food,I had the prime rib,it was as advertised, very good and a large portion. Not dry and over cooked,it was just right. My wife had the bass, also very good. The service was very good, they gave my wife a huge desert for her birthday which was nice. When we go to Vail/Beaver Creek, again we will return. The owner/Manager was very attentive. If you go to Vail, try this place, you will like it as we did.Be careful where you park though,we parked at the wrong lot and had to pay $40.00 to park for dinner.
20 years of meals and never anything but great. The owner, staff and food are exceptional
My favorite restaurant in Vail and probably the front range as well
One of our “must visit” restaurants any time we come to Vail. Prime rib is off the charts good. Service is perfect.
Lancelot has a great, lively atmosphere, but you’re still able to carry on a conversation without yelling across the table. The menu was very diverse which I appreciate when we travel as a family. The food and service were amazing. The wine list isn’t extensive, but solid.
Very good food and excellent service makes a visit to Lancelot worthwhile. Prices are the typical resort high with a wine list well priced.
Lancelot has been around forever but only recently realized they have great food. Nice place for dinner.
We enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. The food was verygood with the Tomato Basil Soup a standout.
This has been my favorite go-to restaurant in Vail Village for almost 30 years because of the above reasons.
Great dinner out in Vail. There was something for everyone in our family which made it a nice choice. From the veal special to the steak frites, everything was very well prepared. The service was very good and our waitress was very attentive.
This is the best restaurant in Vail!!!
This is our restaurant of choice in Vail. We have been coming here for over 25 years and never had anything but a wonderful experience and excellent meal.
The owner is involved and makes every visit a pleasure
Everything was amazing, King crab legs were to die for!!
Great restaurant, however not being in the center of Vail Village it lack some Ambiance I found at all the other place we went dining during our trip, but if i travel with family i would recommend going there
The calamari was very good. I had steak frites which was very average ...I would not recommend it. The roast beef was done to perfection and the veal was good. The price was reasonable, the service was good and the ambiance was nice for a Fri night out.
Amazing place to eat with a variety of options on the menu.
They were able to get us in 45 minutes earlier than our reservations. The waiter actually asked us if it was ok for the food to come out fast! After we ordered, we received our dinner entree in about 10-15 minutes and they were very busy. The food , drinks and service was exceptional!!!!!
Once again, Lancelot's delivered on a great meal. Whenever we ski Vail, we try to make dinner one night at Lancelot's. This time we enjoyed Caesar Salad and Sea Bass on a bed of spinach. Great tastes and prepared exactly as we requested (cooked through). Service was great and friendly. Water glass never empty (which is important during high altitude adjustment) You can always count on Lancelots for a fine meal.
A can't miss place in Vail
An annual tradition on our ski trip to Vail - the fabulous prime rib at Lancelot! It is just as good as I remembered. The meat is so tender and juicy; I never think to order anything else.
We had dinner there for our Anniversary. They gave us a great table and provided excellent service. They have a nice wine selection albeit a bit high on the mark up but to be expected in Vail. The bread comes fresh from the oven. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and quiet juicy. They offer straight horseradish and a cream version. The apple strudel with ice cream was a wonderful end.
Fantastic experience! It was our first night in Vail. Ken was absolutely outstanding, attentive, knowledgeable . He was just the right amount of engaging. Highly recommend food, exceptional.
A good steak and baked potato restaurant... not unique ... ok ..
We had a great meal at Lancelot during our ski vacation. The food was great, service outstanding and very reasonably priced for the quality you get. We will be back during our next Vail visit
Both the filet mig on and the sea bass were quite good. The beet salad was an interesting medley with good flavor. Good Wine by the glass choices
It was amazing. Prime rib and lobster tail were the best and all the starters especially the French onion soup.
Excellent experience, we will eat there again.
Love this place! Prime Rib is the best! 3 sizes to chose from! Always great service & atmosphere. They need to offer different Malbec by the glass & would love to see NY strip on menu but Filet & everything else is good! Apple strudel dessert also a must!
Outstanding in every way. Great customer service.
The prime rib of roast beef is the best I have ever had anywhere. Their signature dinner is a winner for anyone who eats beef.
