Delicious meal. The prime rib special was great, and the salmon was wonderful.

I had literally not been to the Lancelot for years. Was very pleased with the decor and the food! There were three of us and we had the prime rib, the striped bass and a wonderfully prepared steak. All were perfectly done, as were our appetizers. Our waiter was efficient and attentive and we'll be back!

We have eaten here since late 1980s when we lived in Vail area. After moving away, but returning to ski, we still continued coming to eat their Prime Rib, which we used to find better here than any other place. This time, our meat was tuff, or the knife was dull, hard to cut. The manager did adjust the bill to reflect the tenderness problem.

My family has been frequenting Lancelot for many years. It is our favorite restaurant in Vail The service, food, and overall experience is always consistent and outstanding. Strangely enough, despite being known for their prime rib and steak, the vegetarian/vegan side dishes are amazing. The management and chefs accommodate special orders (no dairy in my situation), and the food is still wonderful. The warm, toasty bread that starts your meal, through the salads, entrees & desserts, make a great date night, or even for families with kids.

Lancelot has nice setting near the creek. It's our 2nd dinner and we all agreed it was the best prime rib dinner ever. Lean, no fat, no grizzle - just a perfect cut. Cut it like butter. My fresh beet and arugula salad was wonderful. We can't wait to return to this gem. Conveniently located in Vail. I highly recommend Lancelot.

The Prime rib is usually phenomenal but this past time was not served hot. It was warm when I started in on and was at room temperature half way through it.

Went with friends. One had not been there prior. Love the sushimi and coconut shrimp app. The brussel sprouts were boiled, and not crispy. The prime rib was the best dinner on this evening. The trout was good, and on the plain side. The chicken dish was not a signature dish. The apple strudel is outstanding. The waiter was very attentive, and it was a lovely evening.

Lancelot was above and beyond. Our table was ready for us - no waiting around, our server was well trained and attentive. There were so many good choices on the menu it was hard to make a decision. There were two of us - the chili shrimp appetizer was delicious and not too hot, the Caesar salad was good too. My highlight was the steak and frites. I have eaten a similar dish in London and Paris - this was the best of all. Great flavor and perfectly cooked to my liking and crispy frites. The salad with grilled salmon was equally delicious for my friend. We shared the crème brulee which was out of this world. Cannot recommend this restaurant more highly for food, service, ambience and value.

Three in our party ordered the Prime Rib, which is their specialty. They all thought it was delicious. I ordered the special, Chilean Sea Bass, and I too enjoyed my meal but it was more expensive. The best deal is the Prime Rib. We go to Vail every year and always go to Lancelot one night for dinner.

We had high hopes for our 15 yr anniversary dinner. Unfortunately it didn't meet our expectations. This place is known for its prime rib. We both got one I ordered the small my husband ordered the large cut. Both had no flavor the texture was really good it was tender but you could barely taste it. We both also ordered soup, the French onions we not fully cooked we also had the tomatoe basil it had a decent flavor but the texture was purée not soup. Finally we had a shrimp appetizer the shrimp was over cooked and left in the shell for how much we spent the least they could do was take the shrimp out of the shell. The service was ok. Overall we were not impressed.

Still the best in Vail.

Came back for the third year in a row. And the Lancelot is still the best in Vail. It's cosy, with a comfortable family feel, the food is excellent and the service is perfect.
I was shocked to find the menu lacking my favorite Wiener Schnitzel. But was relieved when I was told I can still get it off the menu... ah, nirvana...
The sea bass is another favorite, cooked perfectly and accompanied by lovely sides.
And the filet melts, literary, in the mouth. Basically there's no need to chew. Just perfect.
And the shtrudel and the brownie end a great evening just the way they should.
Excellent experience overall.

This is really good food at a more affordable price by Vail standards. Have been there every time I come to Vail and it is the best prime rib every single time. Plus the remodel a couple of years ago dramatically improved the aumbiance.

Perfect Christmas Eve dinner!
Made a 6:30 reservation but ended up walking in 15 minutes early. We were easily accommodated and greeted with warm smiles. Staff/service was friendly and patient.
Food was amazing. Get the prime rib... it's their signature dish and worth it!
Couldn't ask for a nicer holiday meal.
