Food was good but pizza was a bit under seasoned. The server was the only one working and did the best she could, but they were definitely understaffed
Maria and Salvatore (Owner’s) make the delicious home cooked Italian family owned and ran restaurant even better! The food was delicious so much so that even when I was full I felt that I needed to keep eating. I would highly recommend the Manacotti and any of the appetizers! We came in with a group of 9 and was treated very well with great speed and service so much so we went back 2 nights later
Great food with large portions. The pasta and pizza are some of the best we have tasted. Reminds me of grandma’s home cooking. Nice family run restaurant! I would definitely come back!
Second time at restaurant. Both visits were great. Good food and great service.
Fantastic Lunch! Tons of food!
Huge Calzone! Loved the chicken parm sangweech!
Met Salvatore, Maria & Carmello for the 1st time. Great people! We will be back!
Good service and food'
My family and I love LaMottas. Food, atmosphere and service is like being home in NYC.
Everything is delicious. No matter how full we are my husband always takes a box of canoli's home. Cant get enough of LaMottas good cookin
Everything was FANTASTIC! From The Godfather appetizer, the veal medallions with purse pasta, and meat lovers pizza for food, the service, the family dining atmosphere, and the personal attention and care from owner and other staff...we will DEFINITELY be back! A+!!
Great local family owned restaurant. Fresh baked bread, nice selection of pastas, chicken and veal. Very cozy and comfortable environment. I highly recommend La Motta's. We want to go back just to try another selection, The only reason that I didn't give it five stars was because of its location in a strip center next to a resale shop. I know that sounds a little pretentious, but it could affect certain diners. The food and people far outweigh any downside from the outside appearance. It's a must try!!
Good Italian food, reasonable prices. Fresh salad. Hot bread. Lasagna and rolatini were good. Nice people.
Maria is a wonderful and refreshing host.
Very welcoming and attentive.
The food is 1950's Italian. Like Grandma made.
I grew up under the grape vines
listening to the accordion Sunday afternoon,
waiting for pasta and meatballs to be served.
LaMotta...Is true Italian
Huge portions of great food!
This place is authentic Italian!! Wonderful food!!
Best meal we had in Fort Myers!
This was our first time to this restaurant which is located right around the corner from where we live. What a gem! The food and service were excellent. We will definitely put this restaurant on our favorite list.
Had the special, linguini in white clam sauce which was quite tasty. Having watched everyone with take home boxes, we asked the waiter and he agreed there would be enough food to split. This made the meal a real bargain.
I have had the best Italian food in southwest Florida at La Motta.
We loved it!
We really enjoyed our visit for a family reunion. They were able to accommodate a large party on very short notice.
We had a great meal here. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed the dinner. I had Oso Bosco and it was delicious. Two of our party had veal dishes (Marsella and piccata) everyone loved their selection.
What a find in a cozy shopping center in Ft. Myers! The food and service where awesome! Our male waiter Popi, was not only attentive but funny!
Great Italian food at reasonable prices, they have been in business for years is because of their quality and honesty.
The LaMotta family makes you feel at home. Always a great experience.
It was the first time at La Mottas the ambience is for a pizzeria the food expensive the quality poor.
Great food, excellent service. It felt very authentic and like restaurants we have frequented in Italy. Fun, attentive, and interesting staff serving a lot of great food - I'm not sure how we managed to carry all of the leftovers to the car. Great gnocchi!! Great antipasto (we got the "for 1" size and the 2 of us took home about 2/3rds of it).
Good! It's hard to find decent Italian food in Florida!
Casual and simple. When you want pizza and pasta beyond the fast food blend - eat here. Very nice waiters and waitresses.
Large portions and delicious. Service was slow but very friendly.
Went here on a whim. Delightful surprise. Food was excellent. Staff was friendly, quick, and responsive. Recommend to Italian lovers.
It was Valentines so of course it was a madhouse. We had reservations, but still waited 45 minutes. The staff was doing there best but they could have used a busboy or more help. All in all a fun night. Food was very good. If we are back in the area next year would definitely give it a visit.
supposedly service was so slow because there were a lot of call in orders. they did comp one of the orders because when the food finally came, the order was wrong.
Great place for an informal night on the town. Food and service was great.
Maria was our waitress and she was amazing! She teased us, and joked with us, and made us feel like part of her family. We will definitely return.
Food was great! Service was even better! I would recommend LaMotta's to everyone.
LaMotta Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria is our absolute favorite place to dine when we visit Fort Myers ! We come from Chicago every year and love being served by Maria, the owner. Everything is cooked to perfection and has a wonderful gluten free menu upon request. This hidden gem is outstanding! We can't wait to go back and enjoy everything that this great restaurant has to offer! Thank you, LaMotta, for a wonderful evening!
Maria, our waitress, was fabulous, as usual
Went for dinner and had chicken piccata...very good but huge portion...enough for 3 meals. My husband had chicken Marsala which was a little bland. Salads were great as were the rolls which were fresh out of the oven. Ambience was casual and kind of authentic Italian. It seems all the workers were family members which added to authenticity:). Took doggie bags home and leftovers were amazing! I would go again.
This hidden gem turned out to be the highlight of our New Years vacation with Friends. Our server, Maria, turned out to be the owner, and was delightful, as was her husband, Sal. We trusted her to bring us her favorite menu items, and each one was superb. Incredible Bruschetta, antipasti, meatballs, pasta and Calzone, topped off with the best cannoli any of us had ever had. So good we came back the next night to sample even more. Six seasoned travelers, most of whom have been to Italy, rate it he best Italian food they have ever had. We will vacation in Ft. Meyers again just so we can visit LaMotta!
New to the area we were looking for Italian, as we have had all the seafood we needed over the past 5 days. La Motta's was just what we needed. We all enjoyed different items, I had the Stromboli the size of a small couch, there was pizza, Bolognese and Putenesca, wow we covered it all. But I wouldn't do this restaurant right, without commenting on the antipasti. It alone could feed the 4 of us, forget dinner. So we really enjoyed La Motta's, ate our leftovers for days and are looking for a return engagement.
The food at LaMotta's was delicious. It was a busy night and we had a loud bunch next to us.he waitress was one of the owners and was delightful albeit a bit slow. The cook did a wonderful job..We would go back again. It is VERY casual.
Much better Italian restaurants around here. More of a local place. Not worth a "destination" dinner spot
Finally, really great Italian food in Fort Myers! LaMotta is the real thing. The pasta tasted fresh, the sauces were flavorful and made by a chef. Strip mall value. Highly recommend!
