I go there all the time, and it never fails to be wonderful. The owners are great hosts, the servers are very experienced, the food consistently excellent, and the ambience pleasant.I would recommend it for any occasion and any time.
Good service, great food. Been meaning to try this for years and will go back soon.
This restaurant was very nice. It is a little expensive but I would say that it is worth it. The food was delicious.
A great mom and pop restaurant and ambiance of the old traditional Italian restaurants. WHite linen tablecloths with very friendly staff. The food was amazing. Everyone in our party raved about their meals from the appetizer to dessert. We will definitely be back.
We had dinner at L'amore on 4/14/18. We wanted to eat outside as the weather was quite nice (we were able to walk to the restaurant). The owner greeted us and we were seated on the patio where we had a view of the mountains from our table. The owner also recommended a nice bottle of cabernet, which went well with our dinner. We shared the sauteed calamari in a red sauce appetizer . Very good and a large portion, part of which we took home. For my entree I had the halibut picatta special, which was wonderful, cooked perfectly. My companion had the angel hair pasta with pomodoro sauce. The sauce was quite thick and had large chunks of tomatoes in it; probably would not order this again as it just seemed sort of thrown together. We have eaten here many times and the pasta dishes are usually very well made. I had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. It was very dense and a good finale to our meal.
It was our 34th anniversary and we had been to Amore once before and decided to try it again...it was a beautiful evening and we were seated outside at a special little table all by itself at the end of the patio. It was private and totally enjoyable! We have never had better service at any restaurant in the Phoenix area! We were greeted warmly by a lovely lady and shown to our special little table. Our waiter was wonderful and very knowledgeable and even the staff person filling our water was there as soon as the water looked a bit low. Also, the owner visited us to make sure we had ordered and then again to make sure our dinner was exactly what we wanted. This is a special place that definitely cares that you have the very best dining experience as possible. The food was fantastic and our dinner was so enjoyable and memorable. Thank you Amore for making our anniversary a special evening! I would recommend to anyone wanting a wonderful dining experience!
As always the food and service was amazing!
As good a restaurant as there is in Phoenix.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, first time visit for us and meals were so delicious, will definitely be back!
Wonderful service with attentive server. Food served in a timely manner but not rushed. Owner stopped by table several times. Dishes ordered were bruschetta, calamari, carpaccio, spaghetti, gnocchi, eggplant parm and sea bass. All were prepared well. Love this place. Most important the bar makes a perfect vodka martini. Shouldn't be a big deal, but it is.
Great atmosphere. Awesome staff. Fantastic menu. This place was a great find during our stay in Paradise Valley.
The food was great and the service was wonderful.
Birthday
Owners are extremely friendly and attentive. Food and service are both excellent
This is one of my favorites. The ambiance is warm and friendly. Kim and Greg make everyone feel special. The food is outstanding. I guess that I’m saying I really like this restaurant.
Something you rarely see anymore — both owners helping out, clearing tables, setting tables, and taking the time to visit with every guest. Very refreshing. Oh, and the food is great, too. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent service. Five of us came for business lunch and we were seated at the corner and were able to hold nice conversation without being rushed. Good food, reasonable price.
Even though very busy, service was excellent as always. Kim and Greg and Larry make it a wonderful evening.
Our first visit to this great restaurant and it was worth it!!!
Food was great, waiter was polite yet professional. Ambiance was fantastic and manager was attentive to our needs and what was ordered.
It will most certainly be a place we frequent regularly.
Excellent service, food and ambiance. Great service without being rushed. Good happy hour cocktails and appetizers before dinner. Nice live music, not so loud you can still have a conversation. Delicious Sea Bass and Cioppino.
As usual it was a very pleasant experience. We were on the way to an exhibit so couldn’t stay long. Service was excellent and we were able to get to our performance on time
Was a very amazing place for a date. The owner greeted us in and was super nice. The feel from the restaurant is very warm and welcoming. Quick service and food was delicious! Plus owner treated us with a desert for our anniversary which was so thoughtful. Would recommend to anyone. We enjoyed our time there.
Greatest Italian food in Arizona!
Love this restaurant. Close to my idea of a pub but not really. The food is good, the atmosphere nice and the owner is terrific.
The food was delicious but the portion of linguine was very skimpy. The clams were fresh and plentiful. More clams than linguine. The bread was delicious .
Alway excellent! Linguine with clams is a form of perfection. Wait staff attentive without hovering. Our go to Italian place!
Always great food! Engaged owners! Love this place! Favorite restaurant!
Our first time there but not the last! Our 44th anniversary was made very memorable at L"Amore. Thanks!
Staff very knowledgeable. Made us feel welcome.we did have some returning guests in our party so they made us feel extra special. Food & wine excellent
Every time my wife and I visit this place, we love it just that much more…
Had another wonderful dinner at L'Amore. The service was great & the food was delicious. The owner is so gracious and attentive to all the patrons of the restaurant. Can't wait to go back.
We have been here several times and always enjoyed our experience. This time, however, was not as good. My wife enjoyed her Chicken Picotta, but my ziti was very bland. Also, we were asked to move tables which was okay with us. However, no one said thank you and the owners/managers walked by several times and never stopped to see how we were doing. We will give it another try.
My boyfriend and I went there for anniversary and it was wonderful! The food was great and the service was amazing, our water glass never got more than half way empty and someone was refilling it. The staff was very friendly. Even though it was a little out of our price range, for a special occasion it was most definitely worth it!
Awesome restaurant with great food
Personalized service, fresh, delicious, authentic Italian food. Great atmosphere. We will return time and again. A must try!
L'Amore is one of the best finds in Phoenix. A great neighborhood feel with owners on-site and talking to every table but also with world class food and specials to die for. We have used the place for business, special occasions, romantic, and family gatherings.
Went here on a Google whim and loved it. Amazing food and Kim/Greg we're so sweet. Exceeded expectations and will be back for sure!
Excellent Service, great food, Business dinner with 11 people and I heard complements thought the meal. Wait Staff was excellent.
Seated on patio as we’d requested.
Greeted by owner- much appreciated.
Waiter was Sal, who could not have been better!
We’ll definitely be back!
Needed something for multiple dietary preferences- fast service, very friendly, pasta was fresh and perfect, the fish was also done nicely. Would return if I were back in Phoenix!
My companion and I had dinner at L'Amore on 3/3/2018. We enjoy this restaurant as it is close to our home. The owner always makes a point to personally greet us and treats us like one of the family. Our server recommended a very good bottle of wine from 3 of the Blackboard Specials that evening. We had the mussels marinara as our appetizer. Lots of mussels in a nice garlic tomato sauce, great for dipping. For my entree I had cioppino, one of that night's specials. The portion was large and I took a part of it home for lunch the next day. My companion had linguni and clams with white sauce. Again, a large portion with lots of clams. I had flour-less chocolate cake for dessert, very dense and a bit too sweet. Overall, the food here is very well made with ample portions. Service is friendly, wine list is a bit short but with lots of options and at good prices. Great neighborhood dining !!
