Lobster and Crab Bisque
Lobster and Crab*
Lobster claw, jumbo lump crab, baby watercress, chopped plum tomatoes and scallion on a bed of Boston bibb lettuce, with our orange peppercorn vinaigrette
Seafood Trio for Two*
Colossal lump crab, lobster claw and jumbo shrimp with complementing sauces
We loved every experience our dinner provided. My husband ordered the Crab & Lobster Bisque and we were both so impressed with the presentation, and he claimed it the best he’d ever eaten. Our vodka martinis were perfect with a very generous pour! The ambience on a quiet Sunday night (7:30) was lovely… can’t wait to find ourselves in picturesque Lambertville NJ another time to dine here again.
Came here several times in the past year and it was always great. Not so much this time. Missed the tiny fine-print sentence that says outdoor seating is non-reservable (it was previously....hence the expectation). So be warned: you need to put your name in and wait for outdoor. We decided to do indoors, since that is what we unknowingly booked - although the staff kept saying we booked an indoor table. I KNOW THAT NOW!!!! sheesh.... Got the lobster roll. Lots of bread, bibb lettuce and celery, lobster was basically tasteless. Had this before - it was better. Husband's fish was good. Also, when I reserved, Open Table has "select an occasion". I did (it's my birthday) but it didn't seem to mean anything so I assume it's just a survey.
Food was good. Asked for no onions so had to send food back because it came with onions. But it was good once it was fixed
This place is a must-visit. We travel over 30 minutes each way. It’s a gorgeous setting in a picturesque town. It’s has a romantic, intimate ambiance with good service and solid food. If we ever do encounter an issue, it’s always fully remedied.
Had a very good meal and experience.
Good spot for a date to relax and have a good meal.
We were celebrating our anniversary. The restaurant was lovely, our waitress attentive, and the food was delicious! Thank you for a special dinner celebration!
Just being honest, food was terrible. Service was good. Check it off my dining list. I’ll never go back.
I made res on open table for 3:30. Only to find out that we could not sit outside (2 people ) reason being ...not enough waiters....was told by outside hostess I had to wait .....I waited till my res time at 3:30...was told I could only sit at the bar area..... sat inside.....while inside I saw tables of two being seated outside.....
Waitress was not around often.....had to ask another waiter for water...who proceeded to find our waitress
Shrimp..scallop in risotto had fishy odor....
Flat bread dough was hard.
Greek salad was very good
Disappointed w experience there....
This is a charming restaurant with delicious food and wonderful service. Enjoy sitting outside by the canal and their lovely plantings. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Fair hospitality from start to finish. Overcrowded and overrated but a beautiful, historic spot and a decent vibe. The food is good, but it is really nothing extraordinary, in my opinion. We had the seafood trio tower and it was essentially some shrimp, canned crab and a few crab or lobster claws. Disappointingly, our service was extremely slow and disjointed as well. I took my mother here for her 77th birthday. I made reservations on OpenTable. When we got there, I was told I didn't have a reservation. I tried to explain to the hostess that I had gotten a confirmation code. She checked again but still couldn't find it. She asked me to reproduce my actual confirmation text and I told her I couldn't locate it at the moment. It was a frustrating experience. They finally seated us and as I said, it was a slow process with little interaction. I was very sad that my mother's birthday dinner was not what it could have been with better service and care to details and customer service.
We ate outside and enjoyed being there because it was quiet and we could enjoy conversation. And, the food was good!
Our server Jane took GREAT care of us & we had a wonderful time. She did not rush us and the whole staff was so positive.
We shared the Seafood Trio, split a beet Salad, the short ribs & gelato. Each course was wonderful and they worked well together. This was to celebrate a special birthday and it was just what I'd hoped.
We ate outside for safety and were able to get one of the front tables. It was a little noisy when we first sat down at 6 but it quieted down and was lovely as the evening went on. We felt safe and sated.
When I first made the reservation I was thinking that the menu was not as extensive as in the past. However, the four items on the special list were superb. My wife and I chose from this list and were very happy with the meal. The waiter was pleasant and efficient and the ambiance was great. In the end, we are never disappointed with our dining experience at the Inn.
Fantastic food, quick and efficient service, relaxed atmosphere. Overall great experience. This place is also consistent, as this was the second time I’ve been there, as I also got the same exact thing as last time, and it was just as fantastic as the first time.
We were seated in a quiet corner of the restaurant so there were no noise issues and we could hold a conversation at a normal voice level.. We had an excellent waiter and the food was equally good. We had not been to the restaurant since COVID started in 2020 but definitely enjoyed our return visit.
Food was very good, if a bit expensive. Great seating inside facing patio, as it was really jot & humid to sit outside.
I would definitely come back here.
We come to Lambertville every year for our wedding anniversary on 9/11 and we always stay at the Lambertville Station Inn and have dinner at the restaurant. Always excellent!! Food is top notch and our waitress Theresa was very helpful, super accommodating and one of the best servers we’ve had.. 5 star experience!!
4 of us, 2 soups 3 lobster rolls, 1 French dip sandwich. Waitress suggested the lobster roll , fantastic she said..they were fine, better roll than most, chips good
Soup was enjoyed. French dip covered with cheese, looked awful, husband ate it, but hope he wouldn’t order it again..very unhealthy.
Bathrooms need updating, grungy, need 2nd one, women on line in busy entrance area.
Would choose a different place next time.
The food is outstanding. Our waitress was terrific as well. We have been to The Station several times and have never been disappointed. There is a nice selection of different dishes. We have taken family - some love seafood and others are meat eaters and we have a couple of vegans. There is something for everyone-
Went here for an anniversary dinner and had a great time. Staff had a bottle of champagne set up on the table beforehand as requested, and the wait staff was cordial, attentive, and pleasant to talk to! Food was cooked to perfection. Not a cheap place to go, but if you want a great dinner for a special night, this is the place to book. A new standard for important date nights!!!
So-so food. Service was very nice but the hostess showed us to least desirable table even though the restaurant was nearly empty. I really wish it was better evening for our dinner there.
Great service and food - outside seating a leek. Coconut bread is amazing!
Food was good. Wedge salad dressing was watered down. Seafood was good. Server was friendly but seemed distracted.
We have been to the Lambertville Station many times and this was the most disappointing. We will try again though.
Very Nice, I would go there again. Maybe for Sunday
Great atmosphere- excellent service and food!
Historic setting with good menu selection excellent service .
Everything was lovely. Professional but friendly service. Excellent caesar salad …. Not too big! Always happy to eat there
The Station was always a classic Lambertville stop when you are in the area. I have dined there many times before and it was consistently good. This time, not so good. The food was truly mediocre. Lamb chops were tough and had almost no flavor. Salmon was drenched in a strange kind of "maple glazing" and at best ordinary. The vegetables served with the salmon were so shredded, they were inedible. Basically, something to fill up the plate. The service was spotty and clumsy.
Maybe it was the pandemic year that changed the ambiance and quality. We will try it again at some point, but after that experience not anytime too soon.
Lovely experience all around.
Server super attentive, nice ambience, food delish, would recommend if looking for a nice dinner out with friends or family.
We will definitely return again in the future.
Food was excellent! One member of our party ordered the Meyer steak. She likes her steaks well done and even well done, it was tender and tasty. The lamb chops are delicious. We ordered the bread basket and would have to say the bread seemed stale. Our server, Theresa, was very good and attentive. We ordered desserts to go. Both the Meyer Lemon Mousse and Bourbon Caramel Custard Apple Salsa were delicious. Would dine here again!
Outstanding food. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. Wish it was a little quieter but that’s not the restaurant’s problem.
Bathrooms both men’s and women’s were disgusting.
Wonderful meal with portion sizes to match the price. Worth every penny. Our server George was attentive, friendly and well accommodating. Food is always spectacular, can’t wait to go back!
Excellent service & wonderful experience . Will visit again
If I lived closer I would be a regular, it was that good!
Everything good. Only problem was overpriced basket of bread. It was terrible and extremely dry. waste of money.
food is good - not cheap - but worth it
service is friendly and very attentive
Andrew our waiter was great!!
Overall a very nice dinner. A small mishap with the oysters which were excellent but were not served as we ordered. Excellent drinks, very good service.
Great location, enjoyed dinner of Jambalaya and Skirt steak with a lettuce wedge. The Jambalaya was a little soupy but tasty. steak was done just the way we asked. Nice wine and a great evening overall.
