Great evening, it was our 17th wedding anniversary and we decided to go here as we hadn't been for a while. It was as good as we remembered. Food was fantastic, service was perfect and we tried a couple great wines. Highly recommend it.
Each trip to Lambert’s Cove is the same WONDERFUL! We joined two of our best friends who had not dined at the Inn. They were very empressed with the entire evening. We will return and I’m sure they will join us. A dining experience one must enjoy when visiting Martha’s Vineyard.
Terrible wine selection, bottle or glass- and limited food options too
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary by having dinner here, and everything was perfect. The ambiance was quiet and romantic, the staff was helpful and attentive, and the food was well-prepared and delicious. Highly recommend!!
Lambert's Cove Restaurant is in a beautiful setting as part of the historic Lambert's Cove Inn on Martha's Vineyard. We were seated quickly and offered drinks (their liquor license allows only wine and beer sales). The wine list was limited, but we were offered a taste of several wines before making a selection. Our friends asked about splitting an entree and an appetizer, and we were told that there would be a $10 charge for splitting the entree and a $5 charge for splitting the appetizer (highly unusual in our experience). Although we were the first party seated in the dining room, the waiter informed us that not all menu items were available. My wife and I each had the roast chicken and the lobster bisque (both tastefully prepared) and our friends had the steak and burrata salad (mediocre at best). We did not have dessert, since our choice was not available. Overall, the dinner experience was mixed, and the food very expensive.
Superb meal in lovely environs. The Portuguese pork and clams was phenomenal as were the scallops and creme brûlée. Awesome date night!
Have dined at Lamberts Cove many times and have had great experiences. Perhaps it was end of the season issue. Primary disappointment related to the food. Specifically crab cakes, Ceasar Salad were sub par. Swordfish was very good and the pork/clams was good however four small clans on the plate seemed very light. Desserts were excellent as were wines. Felt as though we were being rushed out however had just returned from two weeks in Scotland where the dining experience is just the opposite we may have been overly sensitive.
Always happy to be surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of Lambert Cove.
Lovely setting with wonderful service.
Quality of food was wonderful, but menu could use a bit of an update with some more modern choices.
Lambert's Cove Inn & Restaurant has an outstanding executive chef who produces consistently exceptional dishes. We were celebrating our anniversary and shared many starters before our entrees, and even had dessert, and all were the absolute gastronomical delights! If you live or visit Martha's Vineyard, you must try it at least once, and we bet you'll return.
Romantic and charming.
We came to this restaurant for a special fine dining event at the conclusion of our MV Vacation. You will never get a bad meal here. Everything was delicious from start to finish. The staff is exceptionally friendly and professional. Never understand the bad reviews from Mr. and Mrs. Important. By all means, come to this restaurant to celebrate being on MA!
Lambert's Cove Inn Restaurant was very enjoyable experience. Took friends for their first visit and they were impressed.
Lambert's Cove is the preeminent restaurant on Martha's Vineyard. There dishes use local ingredients and are well season with excellent presentations.
We love this restaurant! Spacious seating, great for quiet conversation, excellent service, and the food is truly outstanding. Highly highly highly recommended.
A lovely inn in a lovely setting and one of the best meals I've had on the island. Excellent service and good pianist and great decor.
We loved our dinner at Lambert's Cove Inn. We were there to celebrate our tenth anniversary five years ago, so we knew we had to return for our fifteenth. We were greeted with complimentary champagne and beautiful live music on the piano. Dinner was delicious and our waiter was very pleasant and accommodating. My dinner (braised pork and clams) was magnificent. My wife had the scallops and they were perfect. We enjoyed crab cakes to start and the chocolate mousse for dessert. Truly a wonderful meal. We were hoping to say hi to Scott and Kel but they were enjoying dinner themselves a couple tables away and we didn't want to disturb them. Go there; you won't be disappointed!
Had a wonderful 10th anniversary dinner. The owners were awesome hosts, the grounds were beautiful, and the good was great.
Delicious dinner in an intimate and quiet setting. The pianist is appropriately mellow and in the background. Chef Joe da Silva is back in fine form. We are thrilled to dine here.
We had a very nice meal at Lambert's Cove. The dining room was nicely laid out and the view to the outside was peaceful. The lobster bisque was outstanding and the seafood dishes that we had (scallops and striper) were very good. The wine list had moderate prices which was nice. The service couldn't have been better.
My husband & I ate at Lambert's Cove Inn on our honeymoon and went back last week to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. The food was delicious on both occasions and the servers are attentive but respectful. The property is secluded and beautifully maintained. We will definitely be back!
Fabulous food. We would follow chef Joe DaSilva to the ends of the earth. His signature dishes - the seared scallops and the veal cheeks - are scrumptious. Good service. Nice mood. Idyllic setting.
Absolutely beautiful setting. Extremely welcoming hosts. Staff is well trained and everything is tastefully presented. Tisbury is a dry town so only wines are offered but a nice selection. (Beer may be as well) Many of the people dining seemed to be returning guests and for good reason. This place is worth the ride.
Food is excellent as is the service. What I call "The Library room" is very pretty. But the back dining room where we were seated is completely lacking in terms of decor and ambience. Lighting was terrible - bright, glaring lights coming from high hats in the ceiling, even though there's a candle on every table. At the very least, these should be retrofitted to accommodate low voltage halogen bulbs. Even when I requested that they dim the lights, it wasn't nearly enough. A darker room would help to mask the otherwise blah decor. I suggest calling ahead to specifically request a table in the other room.
Highly overrated. We were very disappointed. Very over priced hotel bland food and nothing atmosphere.
Absolutely beautiful setting, great food and service. Its the best
Lovely place. Happy to go back
While traveling to the Inn for the first time down the semi-private road after sunset can be challenging, the prize at the end is fantastic. The Inn is a beautiful place with a very romantic dining area. The staff that cares to you (several during the course of the visit) is warm and encouraging but not overpowering. The food is fabulous and well prepared. A good wine selection to complement the meal.
I would return when I visit MV next.
We had a fantastic meal with impeccable service in a delightful setting
On Martha's Vineyard, Lambert's Cove Inn is one of the best places for good food and ambiance. The setting is beautiful and the ambiance is sophisticated. A great place for a romantic getaway.
Disappointing. Complete absence of service upon arrival. Food rushed out. Cutlery had to be asked for. Maitre'D completely without charisma or attentiveness. More junior staff more friendly.
Very nice Inn with great restaurant , in a beautiful setting. Restaurant was very pretty and staff was exceptional. Food was outstanding, started with Crab cake Croquettes followed by Grilled local Swordfish. Everything was outstanding.
Anniversary dinner......wonderful evening....
May have been short a server, but good attention to our needs this special evening.
Manager was creepy & distracting to our dining experience the way he followed his wonderful staff around criticizing them. Food was awful as was the ambience. Wilted salad lettuce on MV? Clearly people who are interested in selling. High praises for the men in black staff & the honey butter but that's all.
Fabulous meal, service and ambiance! Our yearly last night tradition. Never dissapoints
Atmosphere, service, and food - all superior. Hope to return often.
Excellent experience: ambiance, food, grounds, quiet, satisfying.
Beautiful country inn setting with gorgeous antiques. We had tomato tower with mozzarella and filet mignon with lobster all agreed it was delicious ! Ample parking which is important in Martha's Vineyard in August . Server was great!
An absolutely beautiful venue. Quaint and historic. The collectionso of
china, crystal globes, books, etc.are amazing. The staff is attentive and professional.
The food is outstanding. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in a hidden vineyard charm.
Excellent service and peaceful ambiance. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly to our liking and the lobster bisque and crab cakes were excellent.
