Our dinner was absolutely perfect. The restaurant was super busy on Valentine's day so we had to wait a little for our reservation but that was no problem at all. I had the ribeye and my girlfriend has the seafood stew special, both of which were phenomenal and our server Whitney did an excellent job as well. Thank you for a great Valentine's Day dinner!
Our server was warm and friendly. The food was delicious. Our problem came when our soup, salad and main entree all came out together. By time we got to entree it was lukewarm.
I had their burger and it was awesome. I have had burgers at every restaurant in Bellaire and they have the best by far. You can smell them cooking as you walk up to the main entrance.
We stayed at the Shanty Creek Resort for our anniversary for the first time. We reserved dinner at the Lakeview restaurant at the resort for the first night. I had mentioned it was our anniversary on the reservation but wasn't expecting anything. We had delicious food and we were given a complimentary small happy anniversary cake to share. So sweet! We went back for dinner a second night and it was equally as good!
The food was just ok, turkey dinner on thanksgiving should have cranberries in my opinion... I would suggest that for next year , also, the rest of the food could have been hotter... all in all is was ok. The service was wonderful !
The burger and fries were very tasty. Burger was cooked perfectly and was nice and juicy and flavorful. Very good seasoning on the fries. The dessert was just awesome! The cream puffs with ice cream, fudge, and pecans was perfect. Definitely enough to share with another person.
We had the chicken fetticine. The sauce did not taste like fetticine sauce. The chicken was tough and tasteless.
Went for date night, dinner for 2 plus 2 glasses of wine for $30, great deal. My lasagna was decent but my wife’s pork tenderloin was really salty she could not finish it.
Overall We were pretty happy, The one thing that was an issue was the fact that it was half empty and we still didn't get a window table. Despite the fact that we were a reservation..... this seemed unacceptable
It was very over priced for the quality of food. I was very disappointed
I was very disappointed that the special they had advertised that they were out of when we arrived. Would think they would have plenty if advertising in paper.
Nice setting for this place but the food was rather blah..... I get better Chicken Alfredo out of a Bertoullini frozen bag.......! Disappointing
Food, staff, view, value, and again the food.... all incredible.
My Wife and I made lunch reservations through Open Table. We both got the burger and it was awesome. I’ve had a burger in every restaurant in Bellaire and this is the best. The view of Lake Bellaire whole dining is hard to beat anywhere in Antrim County. The seating needs to be updated though as it has seen better days.
Very nice restaurant but was a little disappointed that main dishes do not come with side dishes unless you pay extra, when you’re paying a pretty high price for your food already. Also no salad included. Otherwise the food was good and atmosphere was nice.
All good! We liked great drinks and good food
The best dining views in Antrim County. We had a window table overlooking the outdoor pool and Lake Bellaire while the sun was setting. We shared appetizers which where quesadillas, hummus and fresh mozzarella with basil and tomatoes. All three were awesome! Whitney or server was very attentive and did a great job. We will be back many more times to work our way around the menu.
A bit overpriced, small selection, and view is ok but nothing spectacular. Service was good and not very busy on a Tuesday evening.
The food was absolutely delicious! We had hoped for a table by the window, both at dinner and the next day at breakfast, but it didn’t work out. Still, dining at the Lakeview was very memorable!
Gear service combined with great food! If you’re in the Bellsire area, call for a reservation.
My request on OpenTable was not even acknowledged. We were seated next to the Busperson station. Waitress was lovely but everything else just so-so.
The appetizer was bland but the dinner was good. great view. food was a bit pricey for what you get.
Attended the $30 dinner for two date night at Lakeview. Food was served hot for a change which was a nice surprise. The view of Lake Bellaire is the best dinning view in Antrim County.
Perfect way to spend our anniversary !! Will definitely to recommend this restaurant
Waitress was not attentive to our table and forgot multiple things. Unhappy with the cost and the overall experience. The restaurant location being in the middle of an open floor of a hotel is not a very well planned out idea. It was very loud and did not make for a good dinner. The food was mediocre and the wait was terrible for being half empty the night we went there. Location with view of lake and ski hills was beautiful but everything else was far below average.
Need to work on staff training. Waited quite a while before the waitress approached our table. Service is never great but limited dining options in the area.
The Lakeview restaurant’s service and food were exceptional! Would recommend to anyone!
Due to a large party, we had an unusually long wait time for our food. Other than, all was good.
Food and service very good. Menu had a good variety. Only complaint was that the dining room was on the cold side and had to where coat inside.
Food was mediocre and seriously over-priced. Service was great but very slow.
Restaurant was just ok. The waitress wasn’t very attentive, EXTREMELY slow, took 30 mins to get our drinks.
We went here for New Years Eve and had an excellent dinner. We both had the prime rib. It was cooked to perfection and as a daily special, it included the sides which the other meals did not. We had a great view of the tubing hill under the lights and it was picturesque as the snow was falling.
This is a nice place but they are missing the mark on how expensive it is. Need more staff and management needs to train them is going to be that high priced. Quality of food is much better.
I thought the price of the meal For the quality of food served was extremely upsetting. My family of 5 ate very little and left the restaurant hungry. Not only the meal, but the cold, dry unidentifiable desserts were also disappointing. For the price...no home made desserts? I will never dine there again, and we come with a large group to Shanty every year. We will drive to find better food/value
The only place to eat on Christmas Day and the only option was the crappy food buffet for $34/person. Cost of buffet only for our family of 5 was $200 for buffet, tax and tip. We had water to drink. The worst food buffet I've had in my life. The service was awful! We had to wait 7 minutes at the buffet for them to bring plates so we could serve ourselves. Our plates from the salad bar weren't cleared off for the 10 minutes we were gone trying to get a main entree. Most of the entrees were lukewarm at best. The crusted chicken breast was soggy, the ham was dried out and over cooked. How can you possibly ruin rice pilaf??? They figured it out. Salad bar should have been an option. I'm sick to my stomach for how much we spent and how little any of us ate. Never again!!!
The food was very, very good. Our waitstaff was friendly and effecient. We were not crowded at our table. The only problem we had was the young men cleared the dessert table before we finished eating. Apparently they were anxious to get done so they could leave early. Our waitress offered to go back to the kitchen and get some. Just was not the same not being able to choose yourself. Thank You for alovely afternoon meal.
I travel and eat out quite often. Lakeview is a nice restaurant but not outstanding. Food and service were average. It was good but not great.
Locals...Shared wedge salad. Had burgers, excellent, made as ordered (medium and medium rare) and truffle fries shared 1 order..plenty for 2. Burger was delicious, pretzel bun perfect. Sun had set, but red sky and view lovely. Best burger we’ve had in Bellaire.
Our waitress was very good, the food however was horrible and overpriced. I ordered the fish tacos, (2 tacos for $12), the fish was dry and tasted of liquid smoke, my wife ordered the chicken pasta ($24) which had no taste and the chicken was dry almost tasted like it was left over and microwaved from the day previous, neither of the meals came with any side dish or salad. She ordered an $11 cherry muletini which came in a small champagne glass, maybe 6oz and tasted like a very sugary koolaid mix that came premixed from a bottle with absolutely no garnish (for $11 at least put a lime on the rim)
This was our second visit, we drove 2 hours to be here, it is worth the sightseeing and travel time. Great food, great service, and a great view west over Bellaire Lake!
