The food was good and the service was great! We'll definitely be going back.
I met friends there to hear an amazing singer that was performing in the restaurant. The entertainment was amazing but the set up is awkward. We were there on a slow night due to NBA All-Stars, but it's usually crowded on Friday nights when there's entertainment.
But despite the smaller crowd, the service was slow. Our waiter was great, just stretched too thin. The burger was $20 and was just okay. It's a very limited menu.
Do not order an Old Fashioned. You've been warned.
Quite and personable setting for employee work lunch.
Thank you....
Nice selection of food. Tenderloin was exceptional.
It was a nice comfortable place for a Thanksgiving buffet. The food was good, the service was good, and it was easy to deal with. They had a good selection and when we wanted something special from the kitchen, they got it for us without a lot of hassle. The only issue was the parking -- we didn't find inexpensive parking.
Alfredo is absolutely exceptional in his customer service. My clients, journalists, staff and friends enjoy his sense of humor!
Alfredo is an exceptional waiter. My clients appreciate his attention to detail! In addition, Alfredo has a great sense of humor!!!
We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and the hotel gave us a complimentary Sunday brunch buffet at the bistro. The buffet is limited but what was there was very good. There is no lake and the setting is not very intimate.
Enjoyed our lunch date very much. Loved the ambiance.
Live Jazz was great. Food was mediocre -pasta had the taste of canned tomato paste, shrimp quesadilla was good. Service was very good.
I thought the food was way overpriced and small in portion size. The entertainment was excellent. The only thing I didn't like was they started about an hour and a half late so I had to leave early. I also wanted to state that even tho I booked a table in advance, the table that my party was given wasn't eyeview to the stage so I was barely able to see the entertainment...I was only able to hear.
The food was good. Jose the server was wonderful! The atmosphere was great. We had a really nice time.
First time I treated my husband for Father's day. Service and food was over the top!!!
This is a breakfast buffet not a brunch buffet. The server will take your omelette order and bring you ONE mimosa from the bar. Not bad if you want a buffet of breakfast items. Not good if you are seeking a carving station, omelette station, unlimited mimosas and seafood. The value price is overpriced.
The Mother's Day Brunch was fabuloso! The food was fresh! Great variety and very friendly service!
Food and service were great. Fewer food selections than last year. Complimentary glass of champagne. Free parking. Mother's Day brunch.
Upon checking in for our reservation the person standing at the podium wearing a Sue totally ignored us. That's fine maybe she doesn't normally work there. Then when we go to get seated is standing obliviously in the way. One could hope he wasn't management but it look like he was. Our waiter was superb and the food was excellent. It did take a while for it to come out and the place wasn't too busy yet.
Would have rated higher if not for the hostess AND two servers all tried their best to sell the buffet.
Once they relented that we would be ordering off the menu the lunch went well.
Very Classic sophisticated atmosphere & awesome live entertainment the evening I attended.
I was there for a special performance, which was great, but there are a lot of obstructions to our view.
The menu variety and the food my group ordered was satisfactory the food and service could be brought up a few notches
Lunch was delicious. The buffet varies by day. Can't wait to try other days.
We went there for a special music event in the evening as the restaurant is not usually open in the evenings. The food was good, but service was very slow, and we had to wait over 30 minutes to get our bill and then another 20 minutes for the waiter to return to get the credit card. I suspect it was because the restaurant was extra busy for the event.
Very good service, a bit expensive.
Nice menu. All food well prepared. The wait service was excellent. Better than the usual hotel lobby fare. The Bonaventure lobby is also very interesting architecturally. You are sitting at the base of four cylindrical elevator towers flanking the main hotel cylinder. If looking for good, unpretentious food downtown this is a good choice. Opentable only had four available reservations at the time we selected (Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm) but the restaurant was empty.
Far too expensive for an everyday meal. I am attending the ENA conference and didn't want to have to venture far out for meals when rushed in the morning. I made a reservation for six am. Ordered the omelet. Was offered orange juice and coffee. There was a good sized omelet and hash browns that came. Then the bill came, and after paying over twenty dollars for the omelet I came to find out that I was charged over six dollars for the one small glass of juice and over six dollars for my one small cup of coffee in addition to the fee for the omelet. My breakfast was over thirty five dollars. I don't know about anyone else, but this seemed a little outrageous to me. Needless to say I won't be going back.
Our reservation was at 1:30 pm and the buffet ends at 2:00 pm, but our server was very attentive and made sure we had whatever we needed even though they were closing down the buffet. We had a great time!
The place was absolutely dead when we were there for lunch. No problem, more buffet for us! Food was very good but not great. Lots of salad choices, which we appreciated. Also ate the fish and tri-tip. German chocolate cake was the only dessert and dry and tasteless. Given that it is downtown, the buffet is a good buy. But as a special occasion, it was so empty it did not feel festive though the staff did what they could.
Great buffet and service.
Food was kept fresh and was all very good to great.
Stumbled upon this restaurant while meeting for business at the Bonaventure. It's in the lobby of the hotel. I ordered the fish and chips which was amazing. This fish was super crisp, fries hot and seasoned very well. My business partner had the lunch buffet which was full of great offerings. Would go out of my way for the fish and chips again!
What a great lunch buffet. Haven't been to restaurant for a while and noticed their lunch buffet was greatly improved! Great selections and great price! What a deal
Really great experience, but there was some very loud construction going on during our meal.
MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN CELEBRATING OUR ANNIVERSARY HERE FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS. THIS HAS BECOME OUR YEARLY TRADITION. WE ALWAYS OPT FOR THE BREAKFAST BUFFET. THEY NEVER CEASE TO AMAZE US. THE FOOD IS ALWAYS FRESH, COOKED THOROUGHLY, AND ITS DELICIOUS. EVERY YEAR, BROWN IS OUR WAITER. WE LOOK ORWARD TO SEEING HIM AND THE MEMORIES LST A LIFE TIME. WE ALWAYS SHOW HIM THE PICTURE THAT HE TOOK WITH US THE YEAR PRIOR. HE IS AMAZING, HE HAS A GREAT PERSONALITY, VERY FRIENDLY AND HE EVEN GOT US GIFTS THIS TIME TO COMMEMORATE OUR SPECIAL DAY. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. WE BROUGHT OUR 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER THIS TIME AND SHE RECENTLY ASKED TO GO BACK. SHE LIKED THE WATER. WE THANK YOU GUYS FOR MAKING THIS A LACE WHERE WE CAN BUILD MEMORIES TOGETHER.
My group has been missing the buffet at the Brasserie in the Sheraton and it appears that the Bonaventure has taken up the effort to fill that void. The whitefish was perfectly seasoned and piping hot, there were three lovely soups and many alternative salads and sides. The service was prompt, friendly and attentive. The only thing that lost a few points was the fact that the only dessert options were fruit and cookies. I think that could be enhanced a bit and then $21.95 (exclusive of beverage) would be acceptable. I also would suggest that a standard beverage be included in this price.
The breakfast menu was great for a hotel restaurant - surpassed expectations.
Convenient to DTLA. No issues with getting a lunch reservation as capacity is abundant.
Spacious and lots of room. They have a buffet lunch.
Very good for lunch. Very extensive lunch buffet. Nice atmoshpere.
Had a great business breakfast. Service was absolutely first rate!!!
