Seafood
Star chef David Walzog, whose innovative chophouse fare continues to make SW Steakhouse one of the hottest addresses in town, turns from turf to surf at Lakeside. From this glamorous perch at the water's edge, he crafts modern cuisine that showcases his deft touch with seafood cooking. Iced Florida stone crab claws and lavish shellfish platters; ocean-fresh fish and a large variety of wood-oven roasted lobsters from various ports of call anchor his menu, while prime aged steaks and chops round out the bill of fare. Lakeside's new 'Ocean-to-Table' seafood program showcases a specially curated menu of the most unique species of wild caught fish found in the Hawaiian Islands. Starting September 2, a sumptuous Sunday Brunch, complete with live jazz music will be served every Sunday starting from 10:30 am.

Outstanding evening! First time diner, but will for sure be back. The show was so cool, the crab legs were outstanding. The mac n cheese was a little over cooked, but overall this place was so cool with the show that was on the water.

We had dined here years ago and remembered it being good and we loved the entertainment. My husband had the seafood platter and he ate every bit of it. I enjoyed the sea scallops and they were delicious.

We shared the pineapple upside down cake and took enough back to the hotel that we had it with coffee for Breakfast.

The entertainment is so much fun and crazy creative. Service was excellent and it won’t be years between our next visit.

Lakeside was very good. EXPENSIVE! Be prepared. The menu is somewhat limited as seems to be the case in many Las Vegas restaurants. Seldom see Lamb, Duck or Quail. Mostly steak and in this case a variety of seafood. I had the salmon which was good/okay. Being from the Pacific Northwest, I am accustomed to top grade and top prep salmon. Wine list very overpriced. Again, we have an abundance of excellent wine in the Pacific Northwest and our restaurants do mark it up but not at the same percentage as in Las Vegas.
Lakeside is a nice setting.

Gorgeous hotel with excellent restaurants that do not disappoint. Lakeside Restaurant offers a terrific seafood selection and a beautiful patio to fully enjoy the lush landscape and waterfall wall with occasional shows. We enjoyed mahi-mahi and seared scallops entrées with a side of creamed spinach with a hint of black truffle. The king crab and avocado appetizer was also very delicious! Very pleased with the service, the overall experience and food quality.

Dinner was exceptional. Whole lobster was exceptional, as was the Foie Gras accompaniment to the Rib Eye steak. Nice wine list and a waiter that was amazing with his service and more amazing with his knowledge of the restaurant, the property in general and food origins and choices. All of this in a presentation that was friendly yet respectful, without a doubt the best service in a very long time, maybe ever... Stayed close enough to be great service without being overdone. The support staff was truly a cut above as well.

This is a very expensive restaurant. The food and the service were worth it. The ambience could have been more elegant.
The big problem, however, was the music. Everything from rap to dance music. The music was awful and really took away from the enjoyment of the experience. You don’t want to listen to loud, annoying rap music while eating lobster.
Really need to re-evaluate the poor music choices.

My only complaint is they really need to in force there dress code. The table next to us had on sweats and Jean's. If I'm spending over $400 for a upscale restaurant everyone should look the part or I would just go to Red Lobster where that attire is acceptable. It's not everyday we get a chance to dress up for a nice classy family meal.

My steak was very under cooked and the asparagus were ice cold. My wife ordered the lobster which was tasty but not 1lb as menu said. Over all for us the food is too seasoned and not to our taste.

Four of us went for the Sunday brunch on 12/30/18. Everyone agreed it was the best brunch we had ever been to. The seafood buffet was covered with very large crab legs and very large shrimp including oysters and clams, along with several salads. All delicious. Then there is a selection of hot choices to pick from that are all prepared to order. (No sitting over burners or under hot lamps.). We chose omelets (light and fluffy with sausage and bacon), egg white frittata, crab cake Benedict, and flat iron steak. All delicious and as much of anything as you want. They also brought a selection of pastries and fruits to the table and came around with deviled eggs. All very fresh. One person chose the bottomless mimosas ($40.00) extra and another a Bloody Mary which he raved about. I chose a non-alcoholic blended drink of orange, pineapple, carrot and strawberry. Also very delicious. The dessert table had a very large selection of house made treats. We had a variety of those, all of which were delicious but the kona coffee parfait was a stand-out. The service was also outstanding, with plenty of help walking around and all willing to help and clear used plates. Our waiter was Mario and we will ask for him again when we return. Very attentive, patient, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.

My wife ordered directly from the Allergy/GF Menu. Her Mahi-Mahi came out with a tempura fried garnish. It was removed and the waiter asked if she wanted a new piece of fish. She explained that it wasn't necessary, but wanted to make absolutely sure that the garnish was not gluten free.

She then began to eat around the edge of her fish after realizing the center was hard and uncooked. We asked for the check. The waiter noticed the uneaten meal and alerted the shift manager that the fish was not cooked through. She apologized and removed the meal from our bill. She then stopped by a few minutes later to alert us that "hotel security" would be coming by to ask a few questions per their policy. We had to wait at our table. Then 2 members of hotel security with headsets, walkie-talkies and medical bags stood over our table. Apparently they were told that my wife was having an allergic reaction to the food. This was not true.

What was supposed to be a romantic dinner turned into a sideshow, with the entire restaurant gawking at the scene. My wife was still hungry and we were both embarrassed.

Coming in from the NYC area for the holidays, we had this restaurant circled for months. We were tremendously disappointed to have it fall short of expectations.

When we booked dinner, it was to see the show that used to be on the lake.
We were disappointed to be seated inside and there was no show.
That was the only reason I had booked this restaurant.
Huge disappointment for our Christmas dinner.

Lakeside is upscale as evident by the decor and the service. Wait staff was very attentive. The cocktails were balanced and deliscious - we ordered seconds. For appetizers we had the foie gras and the crab cakes - both were very good. Our entrees were really disappointing. We had the fresh daily catch fish - the swordfish and the mahi mahi - and both seemed uninspired, not properly seasoned, and came out lukewarm. We finished with the hot chocolate cake which was also dull. For the price point, we were hoping for better cooking. No need to return here. Go to Costa di Mare at the Wynn for better.

Fire alarm on Xmas evening and we were all asked to leave immediately. Tension and stress for us seniors. I am a 100% disabled veteran and I was extremely nervous and afraid to go up to 51st floor where our room was located. Terrible experience.

We went to the Lakeside Jazz Brunch at the Wynn and had a great time. The food was amazing and the ambience was also very good for brunch. Live Jazz band was a nice touch and we sat outside at the lake view seating and was a nice escape from the desert of Las Vegas. The staff were able to make adjustments to food selections to please my wife. The price was alittle steep but I would definitely return.

Lakeside environment is beautiful with the lake of dreams. Lakeside shares a kitchen with SW Steakhouse - and the steak I had (a bone in filet) was cooked perfectly and was delicious. A wonderful spot for an elegant or casual dinner.
