About Lakeside - Wynn Las Vegas
Star chef David Walzog, whose innovative chophouse fare continues to make SW Steakhouse one of the hottest addresses in town, turns from turf to surf at Lakeside. From this glamorous perch at the water's edge, he crafts modern cuisine that showcases his deft touch with seafood cooking. Iced Florida stone crab claws and lavish shellfish platters; ocean-fresh fish and a large variety of wood-oven roasted lobsters from various ports of call anchor his menu, while prime aged steaks and chops round out the bill of fare. Lakeside's new 'Ocean-to-Table' seafood program showcases a specially curated menu of the most unique species of wild caught fish found in the Hawaiian Islands.

Lakeside - Wynn Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
We came to celebrate the success of the business and picked this restaurant for its position and reviews. However, the greetings were average, waited a while to get to out table despite the reservation. The menu looked good but Lobster Thermidor didn’t look or taste like one. Service was ok, but not brilliant by any stretch of imagination. Why it takes so long to bring a bottle of wine.to the table?
I am sure the place can do much better than that and live up to the customers expectations. Good luck!
We celebrated a wedding anniversay at Lakeside. We were warmly greeted, seated immediately at the table type we requested. Our cocktails were as ordered. The King crab appetizer was delicious. A must try if you go. We opted for fish entrees and tried new types, The John Dory and Dover Sole were delicious. The monchong was great. Our truffled mashed potatoes with lobster were so good. We finished with a chocolate soufflé.
Our server was very informative and helped with choices. We had a wonderful time and will be back.
My boyfriend, his mother, and I were on vacation, and when we're in Vegas, we look to Wynn restaurants because they have vegan options (I'm vegan). We went for a late meal at Lakeside and decided to split the wild mushroom chowder (which was rich and exquisite), the Gardein "Beef" Wellington, the Gardein "Chick'n" Roulade, and the Wild Mushroom Cannelloni. The Wellington was unbelievably good. I was surprised that the "beef" was ground instead of in , but it was still very good. The Roulade was also very tasty but would have been better with a sauce. (I ended up dipping it in the gravy from the Wellington.) The cannelloni was pretty good, but not as good as the other two dishes. They have one vegan dessert, a carrot cake with walnut brittle that was moist and tasty. The service was very friendly. The next time I visit Las Vegas, I will happily return to Lakeside.
This is not the Lakeside we have enjoyed in years past. The food is still priced towards the upper end, but doesn't seem to deliver. The service is fine, but overall attention to detail isn't there. At one point between courses, we sat without plates, staring at a shellfish tower, while half a dozen svc staff walked by - some even glancing down as if to say "hmm, they dont have any plates". Lol We had to stop a busboy and ask. Lakeside is ok. But just barely ok.
After my second visit to Lakeside, I can say it is still one of the best restaurants on the Strip. Impeccably prompt, and professional service makes the evening a delight and the food is pristine and day-boat fresh. On this particular visit, it was a very chilly, windy December night and the windows were closed, but it was a quiet evening and our four top enjoyed seats at the windows so we could still watch the lake show. The menu has changed format slightly since my last visit and is bit less flexible, with preparations selected specifically to highlight the type of fish. One friend remarked that she wished she could still select preparation style herself...then raved about one of the tastiest Scottish salmon dishes she ever had. (one taste and i agree). Lobster Bisque, Charred Octopus and King Crab and Avocado began a dinner that just kept getting better...with the unfortunate exception of ONE rather disappointing dish. The Lobster Thermidor...a bit tough, dry and lacking in flavor. All-in-all, the food, service and ambience at Lakeside will always be one of my regal destinations.
It was our first time there & we already planned for next time. The food is excellent as well as the service. We’re there to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary & it’s a beautiful night. There’s a minor issue about the noise level. The table of 8 next to us was kind of crazy as they thought they’re in Texas Roadhouse restaurant. We understand there’s not much the restaurant could do but other than that, it’s a wonderful dinner. We definitely will be back next time we’re in Vegas.
We had a drink at the bar before dinner and bar staff were very personable. Although we were disappointed that neither the halibut nor the seafood linguine were not available, the lobster risotto and John Dory more than made up for our disappointment. While I wouldn't consider Lakeside a "good value", it's a beautiful restaurant and the excellent food and staff make it worth a visit.
If you dine here, I highly recommend you sit outside by the lake so you enjoy the entertainment. The food was terrific, I had the lobster risotto and my husband had a filet. Both were very well prepared. There is a large rock wall, looks like a movie screen in a way, with a cascading waterfall, in addition to lights in the water in the lake. Every 30 minutes, the rock wall and lake transform into a brief show with music and lights. These shows were an unexpected addition to a beautiful lakeside setting and made this meal quite memorable.
Food was very good service fully met expectations. We were disappointed at not being able to sit outside on the patio as it was unexpectedly closed. The other disappointment is that we were seated on the restaurant second level where we were unable to get full visibility of the Lake show. As two of our guests had never seen this before, this was an impediment to fully enjoying the restaurant.
Fantastic service and all requests were fulfilled. Food was excellent but be sure to check out the menu pricing if you are paying on your own. It was significantly LESS expensive than the restaurant 100 feet away inside the Wynn. Wonderful light + character show over the water. Clear view from our table. It was too cold to eat outside so that area was closed but we were right near the window as requested. My client and his wife were VERY happy, so it was worth the cost.
Beautiful location at the lake at the Wynn. Select to eat outside to take in the whole atmosphere of the place. Excellent service, great wine selection and outstanding food. If you are having dessert and believe me you should, try the pineapple upside down cake, it is one of a kind. It is good for four people. The chef is very creative (whipped mashed potatoes with lobster). The snapper and filet were top notch. The picture shows the waterfall and frog 🐸 singing.
Have dined here many times. I noticed a slowness to the service during my last visit about 4 months ago. During this visit there were unacceptable wait times in between servings and no apology from the manager or the captain. It took approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes to receive one appetizer of 4 oysters and two Caesar salads. I will no longer recommend Lakeside.
I was so disappointed in this restaurant. Reservation was for 8pm. Had to wait 15 min so they could clear off tables. Was seated at the last table by the kitchen and bathroom. Passed many nice tables to be seated in the worst. Not very happy. Then our server was horrible and never came back to the table to even refill water. My fish was as dry as can be . Complained about it and all I received was a sorry to hear that. This is a very nice expensive restaurant. You would expect nothing but stellar food and service. Will never return or recommend this one.
