Star chef David Walzog, whose innovative chophouse fare continues to make SW Steakhouse one of the hottest addresses in town, turns from turf to surf at Lakeside. From this glamorous perch at the water's edge, he crafts modern cuisine that showcases his deft touch with seafood cooking. Iced Florida stone crab claws and lavish shellfish platters; ocean-fresh fish and a large variety of wood-oven roasted lobsters from various ports of call anchor his menu, while prime aged steaks and chops round out the bill of fare. Lakeside's new 'Ocean-to-Table' seafood program showcases a specially curated menu of the most unique species of wild caught fish found in the Hawaiian Islands.

Amazing food and having been fortunate enough to have an outside view granted made it even more special. The lake effects were fabulous.

GREAT SEAFOOD AND FILET: At first impression the white decor with orange modern accents seemed more fitting for a breakfast/lunch spot. But, the waiters were professional and attentive. We ordered the seafood sampler for our party of 7 which came on a 3-tiered iced server. The wine list is nice albeit expensive (it's Vegas). I had the sole which was prepared nicely for $48. Everything is al a carte. A few green beans or some roasted veggies on the plate would help fill the plate and make it seem as if you were getting a complete meal. My friend ordered the filet and said it was delish. Again, it looked very lonely on the plate by itself. She ordered the mashed potatoes as a side and it was enough to share with about 3 people and they were very good. However, what we really appreciated was the fact that we could all carry on a conversation and not scream across the table. So many Vegas restaurants are so loud you can only talk to the person right next to you. So if you need to talk shop Lakeside is conducive to that.

It was a special night for us, so we took a long time deciding on where to eat, the location is beautiful, service was ok, food although looking great, wasn’t, my crab/avocado starter was heavy on avocado, light on crab, and the steak (filet mignon) was really quite tasteless. Overall although our day was magical, and the Champagne was obviously great, the restaurant food left us disappointed.

Great food and ambiance as always. The lake side patio was closed due to weather, but that is not the restaurant's fault. Still very entertaining and fun.

Everything about this restaurant was fabulous. We ate outside which was very pleasant. Service was smooth and polished. Everything we had was delicious (my husband had the quennelles, the lobster and avocado appetizer (very yummy) and the whole Maine lobster. The lobster was delicious but the presentation was definitely over the top lovely. I had the shrimp cocktail and the Maryland crab cakes, both tasty.
I thought this restaurant was a different one, what a fortuitous mistake. We will be back.

Close to giving 5 stars. Was seated right by the water which was very nice. The occasion was my girlfriend's birthday and the food was good as well. Combined with the atmosphere it was great. Service was very nice and they were very attentive. Only reason why I cannot go a full 5 stars is because they forgot to brink out a drink I ordered amd did not bother to remind them as I was alread halfway dine with my meal. Also while waiting by the bar they were moving a table and inconvieniently were moving it right next to us and placed it right next to us without an "excuse me" or any acknowledgment. But aside from those couple instances it was a good experience.

Very beautiful place and unique atmosphere especially if you sit outside. Started with a few drinks at the bar. One bartender was excellent. There were two there and the male bartender was great. The woman bartender seemed less enthusiastic about customer service. Very pretty and impressive bar area and overall restaurant. However, the food didn't quite live up to the ambiance. My date ordered a fresh fish dish which was bland and not cooked well. I ordered the lobster risotto which didn't have much lobster so it was ridiculously overpriced. The mac and cheese was very good. If I were to go back it would probably just be for drinks at the bar for a romantic evening but i don't think the value is there overall. i eat at a lot of expensive restaurants so i don't mind high prices but i expect the food quality to match the price level. This is priced more for the ambiance I guess.

We took our daughter and her boyfriend for her birthday. Pretty fancy food. Octopus appetizer was delicious, a couple of us had lobster, and it was lovely. My daughter ordered a side of mashed potatoes, and server asked if she'd like the lobster mashed potatoes. "Sure". But they were not good; we all tasted them and thought they were gross. Server took them away and did not charge us for them. Other than that, everything was delicious and the service was tops. So fun to sit outside and see the funny entertainment on the "lake".

After planning our anniversary dinner we were excited about the event. After being seated outdoors on the patio we were surprised by the prices but thought, this is an important anniversary so what the heck. After a short time, they seated a large party next to us that were smoking. We asked the waiter, then the manager to ask them to stop smoking and apparently, they allow this., My wife and I felt like we were in the 1950s where they forced you to sit next to poison blowers on an airplane. We got up and told them that there was no way we could sit next to that for dinner and they quickly charged us $36.00 for salads. Much better places to enjoy a $300 dinner without having to breathe poison while you eat.

I have eaten here at Lakeside previously and enjoyed it enough out of all of the amazing Vegas choices to come back and make it my first choice on this return trip. The ambiance is great, the truly amazing dinner show is surreal and highly recommended, and the food is wonderful. Honestly, the only two negatives at this particular meal was having our server go out on his break directly after taking our order -- which was kind of weird. Nothing bad happened. The food arrived as expected. It was just an odd time as we were at the very first serving time of the evening and it was strange to lose him.

Secondly, and the real reason I did not give full stars, the wine sommelier was ultra snooty and disrespectful. I brought my own juice (a VERY expensive bottle) and he agreed to taste it with me at my invitation (I did not have to do this, obviously). However, after he poured his own taste (a heavy taste), he said he had just had a mint and would carry it back to his station to drink later. What??? A tasting is done at the table with the customer -- ESPECIALLY if it is a generous offering from the client. Wow. And especially after paying a $50.00 corkage, he should have come back and thanked us profusely for allowing him to sip my prized Sine Qua Non. But as I said, he had been snooty at the beginning when we ordered our starting beverages from the wine list and his snootiness carried through. And, if for some reason he is not allowed to sample a client's wine at the table, then he should have told us. But I doubt that was the issue.

It put an unnecessary damper on a great night and a great meal. So the final picture - it was a fabulous dinner and a fantastic venue. But this particular steward either had a bad evening or should be reconsidered by his employers. I will not return unless I find there is a new guy (or gal) at the wine station. That's how seriously I take these things.

Our server was good and knowledgeable but never asked how our dinner was. Since we had Show tickets to Le Reve, sending the food back was not an option for us to wait for a remake. Our seats were less than desirable especially that we indicated we were celebrating a significant birthday. They sat us near the bar, not good. The food was extremely underwhelming. The swordfish was tasteless and extremely dry, the risotto was over cooked and more like porridge.

The place was fantastic! The views, the decor, and the food were superb! Enjoyed the lake and the light show. The wait staff was top notch and we had multiple people take care of our party of three. Plenty of attention paid to our table. Would highly recommend this place for any occasion. The only drawback was the noise level. It was very loud in there the night we attended. Still would go back in a heartbeat!

Well, we certainly made the most of the experience. It was a later reservation so the dinner rush was winding down. The service was excellent and they really became interested when we started ordering the Remy Martin Louis XIII. The entire staff had fun with us being idiots and divulging into the Remy. I don't think they took us seriously at first but, once they caught on it was really happening and that we were going to pay for it (LOL) it was on from there. Thanks to everyone on staff for helping us have a memorable night.

PS, the bar manager, or staff manager or whoever he was that night, had the most amazing old school glasses. At first, it seemed that he was turned off by our fascination with them but, even he came around to having fun with it and even let one of us take a picture with them. Thanks again!!
