Super. Patient staff. Food is ALWAYS amazing. Had the flank steak special- so good! Always a great experience! With or without kids. Thank you!!
Great food lively atmosphere
Service was atrocious, 30 minutes before our server came over, if you were a member of the country club I'm sure you were a priority, but if that is how they want to do business don't feature open to the public. Food was average for the local pubs / grills.
There was a birthday party in the room next the the dining area. No door on the room and the music was very loud. The food wasn’t great, my lobster was over cooked and the prices were high for what you get. I don’t mind spending money on quality food but it just wasn’t up to par here. Service was slow and the noise level was very loud, I almost felt like an uninvited guest to the birthday party.
Great place to relax and unwind after a long day at work. Food and service are excellent.
We come here several times and the food is always good, hubby had swordfish with rice pilaf and I had the baby back ribs with french fries, cole slaw and some kind of muffin. We came this time because of the holiday with our Santa hats on and the hostesses just loved it. We were seated at a great table in the center of the full room and it was a great bunch of patrons happy with the holiday spirit. The only problem was our waiter Armando he eventually got to us to take our order and after the food was brought we didn't see him much. He didn't come check to see if we needed anything else or if everything was OK with our order. My water was empty not long after I received it; I had the Shirley Temple but that I wanted to have with my meal. . We had to stop Alex, another waiter, who was genuinely friendly, more attentive and was more available to us for questions and service than Armando. At the end of our meal Armando finally came back and asked us if we wanted to see a dessert menu but at that time we said no. All of this time Armando was walking back and forth attending to tables in our area just not us. About 10 minutes later we decided to have dessert and had to ask Alex for the menus and Armando finally came to us for the dessert order. We interacted with him before we left and found he is quite animated and seems to be a very nice person but just not very attentive to all of his customers. He checked on some customers just not very attentive to our table.
We have met friends at this location many times for Sunday brunch. It is always clean and the ambiance is nice. The brunch is a nice variety of items with something for everyone. The food is well prepared and the server was very attentive and friendly. Would have liked to sit in the atrium with a view of the golf course but it was chilly despite the heaters being operational so all diners sat in the main section in the interior of the restaurant. In all it is a very good choice to get together and enjoy a meal.
Food and service were great. We would come back. Thank you!
Very nice place for a work lunch. Service was great and the view was nice. Chicken Milanese was good and they have great coffee.
The weather was beautiful and their patio with tiki lights outside looked gorgeous. We are inside in the Atrium and we were early and the only diners at first . The service was not great as I think our waiter was also serving in the dining room. We had to ask for him several times. We tried their early bird dinner for 25.00 each and it was just ok . A bit disappointing since I was treating my friend for her birthday who had her wedding there 7 years ago. They had a guitar player at the bar area. Oh well too bad .😟
This was our first time at Lakeside for dinner and it was a great find. Great ambiance, food, and service. We will definitely be back!
Great place to eat alone or an entire family
Armando is THE BEST! We love dining here!
We are members of the club and go all the time. Some of our food was good but 3 out 5 of us had very poor main courses (tuna was inedible.) T
My hubby and I celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant. It was our first time at this restaurant and enjoyed it very much. We would definitely go back.
We belong to RGCC. The brunch is stupendous. MANY choices, you are not rushed, and the food is fabulous. Can't go wrong on your own or bringing family or guests!! Bring your appetite for brunch😎
Great place, great food.. Patti our server was amazing...
We were seated promptly given our choice of tables in different rooms. Our waitress Kristen arrived shortly after we were seated. Kristen was very helpful with our wine and dinner choices. Our steaks were cooked to perfection just as we ordered. All in all this was a great discovery not to far off the beaten path.
We went for Father's Day. They had an international menu which I didn't know when I made the reservation, so it was a nice surprise, pairing wines with food from the respective countries. This particular week it was Argentina and I love Malbec.
Our server was excellent and very friendly. The food was excellent and all requests were filled with a smile.
All was good; wine, beer, waitress service, etc. Food can vary (especially specials) but it was very good on Saturday night. The ONLY constant problem is that we are shown to the worst table in the restaurant (we were unable to sit in the bar where we do prefer, mostly because of this constant of the worst table.) There is one in the middle of the floor, in view of the traffic from lobby to bar and restaurant, where all the waitstaff need to get around, VERY noisy due to trajectory of noise from bar. So, we asked for a more quiet one; told it was reserved. We were there for 1.5 hrs and NOT a soul was shown to that table. Then, we asked for another empty table (I feel made to grovel for this!!) and reluctantly we were allowed to sit at a somewhat better table but again in noise and traffic area. We have been members of this club for over 15 years and yet this happens, time after time. Hence, we prefer the bar!
We have eaten here many times and are usually very satisfied with food and service. This time the food was a great disappointment. Instead of medallions for our chicken marsala dishes we got large chicken breasts with no sauce. Same for our friend who ordered pork special and got two pork chops. There was a large wedding going on and we think that impacted food and service. If we go back it will not be on a Friday or Saturday night. For the price this was a big disappointment. Too many choices around to waste it on Lakeside Grill.
The food and wine selection is good. The service is very good. There happened to be a group of diners with a grand child that was unruly and unsupervised which made the atmosphere unpleasant. Without the distraction a good place for casual dinning.
Great menu, food prepared well. Courteous and attentive service.
Lovely setting for a Sunday brunch and get together with friends or family. Service is pleasant and buffet offers a nice array of foods that are tasty and well presented. Look forward to our return!
Try the Seafood plate large shrimp oysters and smoked salmon.
Food was good but could have been a little warmer.
Ordered the Sea Bass...cost 28.00. Unbelievable, it came with 5 pieces of broccoli and basically half a piece of fish...no potato, as usual no salad and not worth the money at all. It was almost embarrassing...and certainly not enough for a dinner. I was very disappointed which I am very often with this place but am forced to eat here. They spend money on new dishes and curtains...how about giving us a decent dinner that is worth the high prices.
Food and drinks were great. Band plays at the bar in certain nights which can get noisy but it's fun!
While they were closed for renovations this year they perform some very timely and serious upgrades. New carpeting throughout and new window treatments really dressed the place up. They have begun once more to use tablecloths which is really nice. For bottles of wine ordered at the table we now get special stems. Overall a very nice experience.
My friends and I enjoyed a very delicious and casual lunch at the Grill on a chilly day. We sat in the beautiful greenhouse room and were bathed by the warmth of the sun and the beautiful view of the lake. Our server Blanche and her colleagues were very helpful in their suggestions as to what was a recommended dish and boy, was she right! The food was simple, fresh and very tasty. No complaints here! Thanks for a wonderful lunch, folks!
We always enjoy The Lakeside Grille whether for lunch or dinner. Very friendly staff, some who have been there many years!
The Sunday brunch buffet at the Ramsey Golf and Country Club is a real treat. There is a grand array of food items to choose from and the dining areas have all the needed fine ambiance. I have been to this buffet a number of times and I will schedule this date again in the future.
The music is so loud it is unbearable!!!! Cannot hear or enjoy conversation with friends. Could be a deterrent.
The service was outstanding, friendly & solicitous! Food was delicious. View & ambiance lovely.
My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch by the lake at the grill. Our waitress was wonderful and very helpful in suggesting items we might like. All in all, we had a great time catching up and enjoying the view and food. Definitely recommend the Lakeside grill to anyone looking for a good meal and a nice atmosphere in which to dine.
If they are only interested in serving the golf club members then its fine as is. However if they are seriously interested in attracting others the room is in serious need of freshening. Outdated in just about every way. The brunch was typical and underwhelming. A high price point relative to the service and quality of the food.
My wife and I went to the Lakeside Grille & Bar on a whim. We just wanted something different that was reasonably close to home. It was a very nice experience. Although the food's not great, it's very good and the staff could not have been nicer. We'll definitely go back.
We went to Lakeside for Sunday brunch as a group of 6. At first when we arrived, they appeared to not be ready for us despite out Open Table reservation. Then they went to seat us in a booth. Why would a party of 6 want to sit in a booth for a buffet brunch? Why would we want to keep having to let people out? So we requested not to sit there, and had to wait while they got a table ready. Buffet itself was great. Everything you would expect, eggs, bacon, sausages, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, cereals, smoked salmon, great hash browns, eggs Benedict, omelets to order and a very good carving station. Great selection and the food was good. I suggest three areas for improvement:
1. Don't try to sit large groups in booths
2. The carving station personnel should not have headphones in his ears
4. The wait staff should remove dirty plates and glasses, and not allow them to stack up in center of table
I highly endorse Lunch and brunch. You can make a reservation, have a large group, and lots of good choices. While the price of brunch has gone up over the past years, it is highly competitive with other brunch places and the value for the buffet is still excellent. Food was great too. Lunch in general is an excellent value with great food.
Had a reservation, had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Bar music was so loud we could not hear waiter, or each other without half yelling. Appetizers were quite good. Dinner entrees ranged from just ok to very good. Penne vodka overcooked. Beer battered shrimp greasy. When we asked for Penne Pomodoro without proscuitto, they said no, the sauce is already made. Service was good up until dinner served, then we saw no one for over a half hour. No coffee or dessert was offered and we had to get from table to ask someone to bring the check. Scotch on the rocks was $15!, NY price without NY ambiance, quality or service. Won't be going back anytime soon.
