The appetizer and dessert we shared were amazing - a wonderful way to start and end the dinner. The main entrée was also delicious but it was the scallops at the start and the green tea cheesecake at the end that we were still talking about the next day.
Vince supreme Service!!
My husband & I were there for an anniversary dinner and enjoyed it very much!
From the view, to the service, to the food - everything was outstanding!
Thanks for a lovely time
Interesting menu, very good food, excellent waiter and service staff and a nice view.
But it was noisy, too noisy for a conversation.
Would return in the summer when outdoor seating is available, might be quieter?
Outstanding and a bit pricey. Vincent was an excellent server.
Great evening.. attentive server.
The Sunday brunch offers a wide variety of fresh and sumptuous choices. The view of the lake is always enjoyable
So amazing. Great server and amazing food!
when reserving our table, only later seatings were available - we chose 8:30pm. Upon arriving there were a few people seated and many empty tables. The resaurant faces the lake and even at night has a view of lights. We were seated next to a wall beside the server station - a seat best described as the absolute last one you would want in the dining room. We asked to move and were quickly and easily accomodated. To start, I had the scallops with pancetta which was absolutely fantastic. presentation was beautiful and it left me wanting more! 2 med size scallops & slice of pancetta on a bed of saffron risotto - $19.00. My husband enjoyed the surf & turf ravioli for $20. We both chose special entree's - I had lamb which was good and the cod was just OK - on the dry side. Rounding off the meal - macarons and a special coffee - total bill for 2 was $185.00. Most disappointing was what should have been the star - the ambience. First with the initial seating, followed by the set-up of the tables for morning breakfast while we were still finishing our meals. While one would expect the occasional set-up - every table was a bit much. With so many farm to table options in the Okanagan with gifted chefs at this price point, we wont be back for dinner but may return for a summer sipper for the setting and historic hotel alone.
Vince, as always, was engaging and entertaining. We have been going to the Eldorado since 1998 and Vince should be applauded for his expertise in both cocktail and menu descriptions.
Polite courteous service. Food delicious. We look forward to our next reservation.
As expected, the service was amazing and the ambiance so lovely. There was no rushing at all. We ordered several dishes to share, but next time I'm NOT sharing the scallops—I'll have them all to myself.
Our waiter, Vince, was outstanding as usual, and has been our server for every anniversary for as long as I can remember!!!
Beautiful setting even in winter.
We had the Duck and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. They even prepared a Birthday greeting with the dessert.
Price is not reflecting the quality. Food was good but not great.
Service was very good. Stuck behind a pillar so no view. Soup delicious, duck a bit tough. Good wine list. Good selection of local wines.
The variety of food at the Sunday brunch was excellent. The coffee had a lot of grounds in the bottom of the cup, it's always nice to get a mouthful of grounds. The staff was very attentive and quick to help. The view out over the lake was nice. The bill at the end was a bit of a shocker, we were told the brunch was great and we should go, so we did and it was, nobody told us it would be a 72 dollar meal for 2 people!!
Final opinion of mine: Great food, good atmosphere and excellent staff, but way overpriced, which overshadowed the whole experience.
Will not be returning.
The server was great! I ordered the $55 steak and it was over cooked, so that was diappointing. Don't like to send back food when it means others in the party might feel bad. We were taken out for a retirement celebration. The ambiance and lovely quiet were much enjoyed.
So delicious! So much choice- wish I could eat more!
We wanted to experience the famous Sunday Brunch. We were a little early but were seated and given water and coffee till it was ready. I tried a few usual items and they were just the way I like them. I tried some items that were a little different and didn't find one that said I need more. I'm afraid I've been spoiled. If you never been its a great place to showcase Kelowna.
The service was fantastic. It did get colder inside as the night went on which made things a little uncomfortable.
Very cozy atmosphere, excellent food and attentive service. Our waiter was knowledgeable and made some excellent suggestions but didn't hover which was appreciated. Not cheap by any stretch but excellent value.
Outstanding seafood appetizers and the chateaubriand was done to perfection!
The food was presented very well.
Thought the dishes (especially plant based (vegan) were overpriced for the serving size.
The soup was very good.
Waiter was very knowledgeable with wine and food selections.
I had the Thanksgiving turkey dinner three course special, with wine, and it was spectacular. The wait staff was kind, the Manhattan I had was delicious, and the pumpkin pie for dessert was everything I wanted it to be.
Waiter contradicted himself. Not helpful at all. Food was bland. Given we’re regulars, not what we expect and disappointing that we had friends in Kelowna for a birthday celebration.
Nice Brunch. We liked the service and the relaxed atmosphere.
Nice spot for a great brunch
Wonderful place to celebrate our fifty year anniversary. Hope to be back before long for a meal. Great service and food.
Best lakeside ambience in Kelowna. Great for lunch or dinner
My husband and I both throughly enjoyed our meals. The service is very good. Can't beat the view.
Everyone rants and raves about the brunch at El Dorado, so we had high expectations, and we were not disappointed! The Sunday brunch buffet was incredible. There were an insane number of options (omelet station, seafood table, 2 kinds of eggs benedict, potatoes and bacon/sausage, and the list goes on!). There was when a breakfast dessert table complete with chocolate fountain! The service was great and the price was reasonable given the quality and amount of food. Definitely get reservations to ensure you get a seat.
I was visiting Kelowna and I took my son for there. We had a wonderful table on the patio. The fish tacos were very good and my son loved his chicken burger and yam fries. It is our second time at the Elderado and I would go again. I did not know that the valet service is free.
Wonderful eating experience. The choices were many, and all delicious. The ambiance and service were excellent. Definitely 5 star for me. Cheers.
Everything was Excellent !!
We love the eldorado, just didn't rank it higher as we had to keep flagging people down for coffee, water, bill etc. No one seemed to come by like usual!
Brunch was good, nice selection of food and it was replenished often. Service was a bit slow for drinks but they were very accommodating. You can't order off the menu during brunch but there were so many options it wasn't an issue. The hotel itself is beautiful and quaint and we had a lovely table on the patio.
The food was amazing and the views were outstanding. A very lovely and charming location to have a good dinner. The service was quite slow but that did not take away from the experience. I would go back in a heart beat.
The food was excellent and the view of the marina was superbe. Ask to be seated outside.
Nice atmosphere, great service, would have liked more of a selection of food
