We booked in for our anniversary. Dinner was nice, fairly good portion sizes and we loved their fun cocktails. We tried the berry smash and the raspberry spritzer, they were light and fruity. Dinner wise we had the salmon and I found there to be a bit too much sauce but it was easy to take some of it off. My husband had the Parmesan crusted chicken and it was delicious! Very tender and juicy chicken. Our server Jada was wonderful. Very sweet and attentive! Dinner was a bit on the pricey side but was served quickly and efficiently, the views are lovely and overall it was an enjoyable evening.
The food is overpriced for the quality for sure!! When you are charging $35+ for an entree, it better be pretty darn good and we found the food just average at best. Would not come back.
The food was lovely, apart from the vegetables which were a bit hard and bland. The wine wasn’t the best and was quite pricey. Overall the food was tasty and the setting was lovely.
Great place tp sit on the patio with a view of the lake. Food and service in the lounge and restaurant were excellent.
Both the red and white sangria were extremely good. The flatbread was also very good. We thought it had great flavour and presentation. The lettuce wraps are just large pieces of bell pepper with a protein on top. You have to chop them yourself to fit into the very small pieces of lettuce provided. They don’t have much flavour either. Definitely would not recommend them.
Expensive for just so so food. Salad with chopped kale was good. Best part of meal was our waiter who was exceptional. The one from Perth, Australia!!
Excellent menu and food. Beautiful location.
The service was absolutely deplorable, and it took away from the rest of the evening. Won’t be back and won’t recommend this restaurant.
We booked to have dinner at The Chophouse because it had a view of the lake. And it was awesome experience.
Jacob our server was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed.
The price of the entrees were definitely on the higher side, but what can I say...its Waterton Park. So expect that prices will be inflated by a few dollars more.
Excellent meal, beautiful scenery and they even put a candle in my moms dessert and helped sing for my moms 65th birthday. Highly recommend
The price points here are WAY TOO HIGH for what you get. And flavour taste wise very average at best. Bathrooms were also very dirty....not a good look during a global health crisis. And I’ve always said if a restaurant is willing to let bathroom cleanliness slide....what else are they slacking on? Don’t think I’ll be a repeat customer.
Really enjoyed our dinner. We sat on the patio, felt safe the whole time. Our server was wonderful. Highly recommend the key lime pie.
They advised I had no cheese on my meal as I cannot eat cheese but after many discussions and me finding the piece of stringy cheese they might aswell if said I was I liar I was not happy no discount given just a half hearted apology
Beautiful views of lake Waterton. Service was excellent.
We always eat here when visiting Waterton. There are slightly fewer menu items right now because of a restricted opening (so so warm beet salad, even though it's on the website menu). Not a huge deal, just be aware. Otherwise, fantastic food (we did dinner and breakfast there this time), great seats on the patio.
Beautiful place!!! Service was outstanding. Food was good but too spicy.
Had a wonderful view of the water. Dinner was delicious. Server was knowledgeable and offered wine recommendations. My only possible critique was that they were a little slow in helping us settle up once it started to rain while we were on the patio. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable experience.
You're paying for the lake-front location. Food competently prepared but expensive. Ditto the drinks! Friendly service.
Food was well prepared. Pricy.
Super friendly and great food. Spectacular view!
These are tough times for most businesses and staffing is very difficult not knowing what tomorrow holds. On this trip to Waterton (an amazing place!), we met several workers on their first or second day in position. That having been said, the service at the restaurant was challenged but trying hard. Our appetizer arrived without the aioli dip but we chowed done as things were taking longer than expected. Also, not a butcher, but my bison ribeye was more a strip loin and a little tough. I know that they can, and will do better.
Food passable (think Moxie’s 15 years ago but most dishes priced near $40 or 50) but view is definitely the highlight here. Friendly & efficient staff. Ask for Jada.
Amazing food and service. Perfect scenery for our 1 year anniversary.
table mixups, food not great, ladies washroom messy.
Loved this restaurant. The view is absolutely gorgeous . Try fried Calamari there. I would say one of the best Calamari I have ever eaten.
we did not like steak (top sirloin) and could not finish it.
We all enjoyed our meals and had a fabulous time. The view of the lake is exceptional.
Lots of great food choices, and everyone enjoyed their meals.
We each had the prime rib burger and agreed it was one of the best burgers we'd ever eaten.
Loved the splits of Prosecco we chose.
Great service, great food. Would recommend it to all.
The atmosphere is nice but the food is not worth the prices.
The steak was perfect , well done and still juicy , the breakfast was lovely too.
Appreciated the revised service and approach during COVID.
At times service was a bit slow.
Very good supper, great service.
Breakfast was poor, waitress. inexperenced but excellant.
Cook did a terrible job sent 1 breakfast back, Mine not. cooked even close to what I ordered.
Tried to pay cashier to busy to take my payment I am on Crutches I. can not stand very long cashier busy looking up past sales then went around the corner came back very poor. Would not recommend for breakfast but would for supper.
Restaurant was closed for the season.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate my daughters birthday. Little that we know every after thanksgiving celebration the restaurant will close for the winter season. I normally check the website for announcement or special menu but in the website says nothing. Everything is limited base on what is left with the restaurant inventory. Open table customer review is fantastic about the staff but I find that in our visit most of them will just ignore customers and a bit stress. Talking about how they will clean the restaurant after. Staff should be trained better on how to handle this kind of situation and customer experience should not suffer.
Great atmosphere, great view, great service, and great food.
Our server, Natasha, was excellent. She really made the evening.
We had reservations for dinner at 4:30 pm on Saturday evening, we showed up 15 minutes early and wanted to sit on the deck and have a drink before coming back inside to have your dinner. The host said that it wouldn’t be possible as this would require us moving back and forth and couldn’t guarantee us a spot back inside. But they weren’t that busy at this time so we stayed inside.
Brian our waiter was friendly and very helpful with the questions we had about the menu. However the other staff were very noisy in setting the other tables around us clanging plates and cups... unprofessional in this style of restaurant.
The food was ok.... not great and wouldn’t recommend any of my friends to go here.
Also there were lots of flies around our table
The occasion was our 47th anniversary. The waitress Liz did all she could. We ordered soup salad and the prime rib dinner. Food was amazing but the soup and Caesar salad arrived together, as soon as we begin to eat the soup the meal arrived. As this is a higher end restaurant I didn’t expect Diner service. The waitress didn’t deliver the
Food another worker did. We were disappointed. We are not an elderly couple who eat slowly, but needed to eat quickly so food wouldn’t get cold. They at least should have waited until we completed the soup. No compensation of any kind was offered for this type of service after we mention this problem.
We had a lovely meal, good food and wine, excellent service in a beautiful environment that was quiet enough to be able to visit. Overall a wonderful meal. Would definitely recommend to friends.
