Lakeshore Grill-Macy's - Ridgedale Mall Ratings and Reviews
It's seems as if this would be the perfect spot to take a shopping break, grab a bite to eat and possibly a drink before heading back to the mall. This is the 2nd time we have been there and the 2nd time to disappoint. The table service was very slow, almost as if they are understaffed and all had too many tables. 1st visit: The bartender is working service bar and trying to help the people at the bar and is visibly frazzled (we were told as soon as we sat down that "it was really busy") and waited a long time for drinks. 2nd visit: When we asked a server (not ours) to grab our server, she didn't. Seems like they all have their heads down and no one really paid that great of attention. The food is actually good, it's just too bad. Need two bartenders on a weekend and more waitstaff!
Food was great
Servers seemed to be anxious to clear plates even though food still was visible - we were a larger group (7) and enjoying dining while conversing - some ate faster others not so much - but with food visible customers shouldn't have to guard their plate from removal
This is our go-to restaurant. Usually it’s much better. I’ve noticed lately that their servers seem very inexperienced. It has not been a smooth experience. And the popovers, which are usually wonderful, were dry and cold, which was disappointing. That said, we’ll continue to visit about once a month because the food is good and the decor nice. The’ve decorated nicely for the holidays.
Our dinner was excellent as usual. The popovers are one of the reasons we choose this restaurant. The location is convenient, and great for so many occasions. We see high school students here for dinner before their semi-formal dances. We also see people stop for a quick bite while shopping.
we had a new waiter, he was a bit nervous, poor service, veggies were cold and were not supposed to be. charged my credit card twice for the dinner. thought it was fraud, had to cancel my card. waiting for new card :( usually this resturant is really good. The food was good, waiter never brought us pop overs. I don't think he was ready to be turned loose yet. it wasn't that busy in there.
The hostess was upset that my Open Table reservation didn't clarify table versus booth. Later, she chastised my group again as someone else had also made a reservation. Both of these instances may have been inconvenient to the host but should have been handled more professionally and pleasantly. Mid-week for a late lunch was not so overrun that we could not be accommodated. Very off putting but the servers and the food helped offset a very poor start.
The service was personal, efficient, friendly for a large group of 10 of us senior citizens.
We were served promptly. As part of the late-lunch diners, the ambiance was perfect for group conversation. We gather here generally once/month because of the food, service, and location.
Service was fast and friendly, we had a reservation which was nice as this place filled up quickly. Just had simple meal and it was wonderful, then on our way downtown for a show. I will absolutely be back. Last year we tried Champs, Loud, expensive, and very poor service. This year, upon returning from downtown to pick up 2 vehicles with our carpool, we had 1 nightcap at Champs. Same deal, slow service, and loud.
Very nice, I wanted a quiet, attractive restaurant for conversation with a visiting out-of-town friend and Lakeshore Grill was perfect. I requested a quiet table away from others which is exactly what they gave us. The food was excellent. Don't hesitate because it is in a store. It has an outside door, so the connection to Macy's is not even noticeable. I was very pleased.
We were celebrating an important birthday, which we noted in the reservation. No welcome, or recognition of the occasion was made. A nearby table received a birthday cupcake with candle, and the server offered to take their photo. Our table (with card and gift bag sitting on it) received nothing. Very disappointing for my mom. I would not go this restaurant for a special occasion again.
My group of friends has been coming to the Lakeshore Grill at Macy's once/month for two years. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly; service and food of very good quality. Wide variety of menu options; noise level is moderate and manageable for reasonable conversation. The Ridgedale location is centrally-located for most of my group, and is very easy to find.
Reliably good food and not too expensive. We are senior ladies and celebrated
our 60th highschool reunion. Nice ambiance and we could hear each other.
There are always fine choices for non-meat eaters. Something for everyone.
Wild rice soup and mandarin salad are winners. Kids and adults both-- love their
mac & cheese. Need to up their game on desserts. Wish they had big popovers
like Southdale. How about some Gazpacho soup for hot summer days?
