Lakehouse is always consistently great, excellent service and tasty food with nice variety on their menu too.
We love this restaurant and eat here everytime we stay at the hotel. Our daughter really enjoys their breakfast buffet and the staff is amazing!
Great relaxing atmosphere! Very peaceful.
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner yesterday. The facility is super clean and neat. The food was exceptional. The waiters very professional. Definitely in our list of the best places in Orlando.
Went for brunch. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful lake view. The tables are HUGE, so it's great for large parties and familes but lacking in intimacy for 2 people. We ordered ala carte near the tail end of the brunch buffet period. Big mistake. Though they were not busy at all, our eggs arrived stone cold, and the hash browns weren't brought to us until we were almost done with the eggs. My over easy eggs were over served medium. Didnt complain because my friend was paying, but very disappointed in the preparation and delivery of the food. Next time I would stick with the buffet, as they clearly arent equipt to accommodate ala carte orders during the buffet.
Excellent service, similar to the Ritz. Had lunch and dinner here, both times were excellent.
Overpriced brunch with few selections and poor food quality
Should have pancakes daily, normal breakfast foods should never be left out. Better value for price. Shouldn't have to wait to be seated with reservations.
We got together for brunch to celebrate Mom’s #86!
We were a party of 5. Our reservation was for 11:30 am and we got seated quickly. At first, I felt things did not flow with the waitress. However, at noon, she was more available and the service was excellent!
I really like this restaurant- the food is good, it is so clean and spacious too!
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! SERVICE WAS HAPHAZARD AS HE WAS TRAINING SOMEONE NEW. NEITHER was on top of the table. Drinks served slowly, and then they kept disappearing. My Wife's Pasta had great artichokes but they forgot the spinach, and very little chicken. My Short Ribs were luke warm. tasted good but very disappointing.
All in all, not a great experience.
My family had come in to eat I both sodas I had asked for was not available. When we came the next day our waiter had a couple cans of soda I had asked for the day prior waiting for me. She went way above and beyond.
Delicious food, just a little too much time in between courses and getting the check
The chicken and artichoke pasta is REALLY good!
We love Grand Cypress and Lake House is a beautiful space. We may have run into an odd combo of situations. Host staff just dealt with a difficult couple, we requested a an odd cocktail which threw our server off, and the couple next to us was clearly joining after a day of drinks LOL. BUT, the pizza was the pizza found elsewhere with a couple pieces of fresher mozz on top with some cherry tomatoes, we asked for pepper for our salad and we were brought paper pepper packs. All expected for hotel dining - just in case the fancy sushi and whiskey reserve lead one to think differently.
Me & my family were completely blown away by the scenery, service and the overall experience. On every level, the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress did not disappoint!
Thank you for your hospitality!
The Beeman family
This was so convenient as a hotel guest. The menu had a little bit of everything, which was great for my family’s tastes. The building was beautiful and interesting. Service was excellent.
We put in a seafood allergy for our reservation and it wasn’t caught until food was coming out.
Food was bland for the price. View was not what we expected for an anniversary dinner. Seated near noisy bar as well. We were disappointed.
The wedge salad was a family favorite! The braise beef ribs were incredible, too. Service was good, restaurant was clean and ambiance was great.
The food was underwelming for the premium price. Got takeout the night before which was pretty bad and breakfast via room service the next morning which was a complete disaster, to be avoided. They at least comped everything but room service is definitely a no go at the hotel. They do have literally the BEST vegetables I have had at a restaurant in years. It's kind of a side show but when is the last time you had remarkable bib lettuce, pickles or watercress, especially when paired with an overfried dog toy of a chicken cutlet...Maybe try a salad?
Good food at a decent price. Beautiful location. But wish their other restaurant, Hemingway’s was open.
I stayed at the Hyatt. I was disappointed in this restaurant. Not many options on the menu. Food was just ok. My burger was dry. Staff was nice but not on the ball.
We made a reservation and arrived 10 minutes early. We were ignored, when we asked for help they said they'd look into it. Many other parties were seated before us and 15 minutes AFTER our reservation, I finally asked for the third time what the status of our table was. They then scrambled to seat us realizing they had given several away before us. The food was marginal and we were pretty disappointed overall.
Had a great experience at Lakehouse with server David. Loved the views and design of the space. The happy hour was especially good and was a great surprise! Had a good selection for dinner at pretty reasonable prices for a resort. Enjoyed our dinner here and would definitely dine here again when we return.
Very nice restaurant in the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Everything was very good and I would go back.
Server was to busy to give any attention. Host was not very accommodating. Omelets we a little over cooked, cappuccino was good. Coffee was terrible .
The waiter was great! The food was ok enough.
Restaurant was understaffed and inexperienced. Reservation for 6:30pm... didn’t get any food or drinks until 8pm. Unbelievable. They comp’d a salad for our troubles. LOL.
Made reservation through open table and put in a desert request and they didn’t fulfill it or ask us about it. The hostess uses her hands to communicate and didn’t speak much. I don’t know if she was new or is just used to the mask and doesn’t communicate well. The food is always fantastic at the restaurant. The sushi is too but it’s way over priced. We skipped it this time. As well as their wine, it’s 3$ above average . They have a limited beverage menu while dining. They were very busy and the waiter was nice but overwhelmed . Again, food is fantastic here always the service is so so.
We had amazing fort with exceptionally amazing service. In the hustle of vacation I regretfully forget the name of our guy, but he was personable, funny, and attentive. Our food was done well, plated beautifully, and delicious. For a restaurant in Orlando and at a resort, comparably, the value was agreeable, as well.
As for my food: The wedge salad was crisp, nary a questionable leaf, and the ribeye was done perfectly with just the right amount of marbling. The ice cream looked and tasted homemade, and the crème brûlée cheesecake was a joy.
We were very happy with our final night of vacation dinner. We had a 4 year old with us and our waiter made sure she got he food as soon as they had it ready. All around, a fantastic experience that made any other local choice pale by comparison.
We are here several times on our trip, as well for breakfast and lunch and the experience was the same.
The food was good. Nothing spectacular and nothing bad. Overall it was good but service was very slow for not being overly busy. Expensive for what you get.
Server was rude and would argue with customers. Slow service. Bar tender was great, ambiance was great. Temperature of building was cold. Food was ok, nothing packing a wow punch
Excellent restaurant and delicious food. We have dined here before
Lakeview was great. It’s a beautiful space and although the menu isn’t too extensive, they have something for everyone. Carol, our waitress was great and Ryan, the bartender was great too!
We were seated right by the window with an excellent view of the lake! Menu with limited options and food was average. Service was also average. We had no specific complaints.
We were expecting a luxurious setting, it wasn't, it was generic, not bad, just not mother's day good. Place needs more pictures to better make a decision prior to reserving. Food was ok, so was drinks. Our server David was very knowledgeable and always on the ball. This is not a bad review It just wasn't what we thought we were getting. From valet to paying the bill it was great.
The food was so good and the cocktails were delightful- if you’re a whisky drinker, do not skip the Knoll Creek old fashioned. Sadly, not enough wait staff so service was a bit slow. But our waitress was a trooper and did her best.
Food and service was very good! It wasn’t busy, it was a Sunday evening so it was quiet
