Laishley Crab House Ratings and Reviews
Disappointed with the grouper filet, was under heat lamps, not hot, and bland. The sushi however was 4 star. Appetizers were 4.5 stars, blue fingers, coconut shrimp and calamari all good to excellent. Very noisy at 5pm on a Friday outside, but gorgeous view. Service was good. Make a reservation as this restaurant gets very busy and there is waiting time.
Since I am a visitor for only a month during the year, I will say that this is one of the best places I have been....this was my third visit for lunch and to meet friends....great experience, great food, great atmosphere, great waitstaff! Keep up the good work!
Took my brother and his wife there on their last day visit from up north. Made for a special afternoon on a beautiful day. Also, my daughter went with us and she didn't know about your restaurant. She will definitely take her husband and friends to her new-found place to eat.
We went for Valentines Day. I have never had a bad meal at Laishleys, however this time the sushi was pretty disappointing, the flavor was just lacking. My husband had a fish sandwich which he said was delicious. We will probably return but will not order sushi again. Maybe a fluke, or a new sushi chef? Nice view outside by the water. Our waitress was very good.
Service excellent. Seated promptly per reservation despite full house. She crab soup outstanding. Sushi sampler uninspired, sticky rice under seasoned. Beverage service good. Facility immaculate and free onsite self parking readily available.
Will return for lunch next week; but, will be ordering from the non-sushi menu.
Recommend reservation!! Place is so great !! We came for my sons graduation and my moms birthday combined! We were able to sit outside and it was a beautiful night!! Food was fantastic from the appetizer s of conch fritters, fried calamari, and grilled oysters. entree of stuffed lobsters, surf and turf, Alaskan king crab, and the seafood trio. Finally the deserts of fried apple blossoms, fried ice cream, and a slice of peanut butter pie! Our waiter Bo was great and took care of us! He made sure our drinks was constantly filled and was very attentive!!!
My food was delivered cold, after a 20 minute wait, while the restaurant was one-third full. When I managed to track down my server the fish was sent back to the kitchen and so was a crab cake. Both came back dry and flavorless. I spoke to the manager before leaving and he said he hoped we would try it again. Ha! Too bad the food and service were unacceptable because the outdoor seating was great.
Our dinner was a bit pricey, but there is a nice waterfront view. We always bring our own of town friends here for dinner, and enjoy sitting outside... Until Thursday night,it was a great experience until the snotty waitress expected a bigger tip, and had the nerve to complain to us on our way out about it.
We arrived to a front desk with several teenage girls standing around chatting. They were the front desk staff. I had requested a water front table with my reservation and we were shown to a table not on the water front. When I requested our reservation table, I was told, "no." I told the young lady, "no, that's what I reserved, that's what I will have." She "checked" with someone and then seated us at the appropriate table. We had a very good waiter and enjoyed his service.
But the first experience with front staff was not good at all. Our reservation included notice that we were celebrating a birthday as asked when the reservation was made. Nothing was offered as a consideration of the event or even that we were there for it. Prices are higher than they should be for the quality of the food. It was good but not 5 star.
I made a reservation for four at 5:30 with no problem but when five others wanted to join us the only time available was 7:30, which was too late. Trouble is that when we arrived with just the four, the place was empty. More people arrived as we left about seven but there would have been lots of time and space for the others to join us earlier. I just don't understand why they could not accommodate us all earlier.
The crab house is very good fish house with a great view, friendly staff and good value.
We went to meet friends and stayed (unhurried ) at the table for almost 3 hours.
The food is primarily seafood but one of our party had a burger. Everything was delicious including the NE chowder, shrimp cocktail, grouper sandwich , quesadilla and sweet potato fries.
Will definitely return
This is a great seafood restaurant with very consistent service and above average, high quality menu items. Very flavorful. This will continue to one of our favorite seafood restaurants.
Our waitress, Rachel, was simply great. Superb, professional service and a good personality. Kudos to Rachael.
