Lahaina Grill Ratings and Reviews
Hands down the best food we had on the trip. We talked about it over every meal. The ravioli appetizer was $24 and I felt like I ripped them off. There wasn’t a single complaint we could come up with and Alex was an amazing server. If you are in Maui you must make this a stop for dinner!
Found the Lahaina Grill on a Google search. We had dined at Mama's Fish House (highly recommend) previously and I was looking for some place nice to take my wife that was closer to our hotel in Kaanapali. Lahaina Grill did not disappoint. I made reservations and we arrived on time. We were greeted by the hostess and promptly seated. Service was outstanding. I had the sea bass and my wife had the mahi mahi. The main course presentation was beautiful. The food tasted as good as it looked. We enjoyed a chocolate mousse cake for dessert as well. It was delicious. Atmosphere for our dinner date was great. The wife was very pleased. Overall highly recommend.
Lahaina Grill was recommended to us by several different people who have visited Maui. My husband and I are here on Maui for vacation. The Lahaina Grill lived up to its billing! Our meals were delicious. We started with the chili relenos appetizer which was fantastic. My husband had the grilled salmon and I had the evening’s fish special, Mangchong (sp?). Both entrees were flavorful and beautifully presented. We finished the meal off with their triple berry pie which was amazing! Definitely save room for dessert!
The Lahina Grill never disappoints! Whenever we are here in Maui this is at the top of our list for dining. The food is beyond delicious and always prepared with an abundance of favor and taste. Our service was polite, informative and made our dining experience special.
I did notice the prices are getting higher than our last time.
Expensive, I mean very expensive (think a good restaurant in Manhattan or San Francisco), but definitely worth the extra dollars. Excellent variety of menu offerings. Specials seemed outrageous (lobster and foie gras = $110) but ridiculously overpriced, so we stuck with less spendy offerings - veal chop (excellent), arugula salad, clams. Our server was exceptional and the wine list (including wine by the glass) interesting. Definitely go there if you want a great meal and don't care how much it costs.
There are plenty of really good restaurants on Maui but very few would I qualify as great. This five star review encompasses not only the restaurants food compositions but their impeccable service and ambiance as well. From the initial greeting at the front podium and throughout your dining experience to the goodnight at the door from Jurg, this restaurant is first rate and leaves no stone unturned. The evening begins with fresh white linens and warm rolls with custom designed herb butter. The wine list is deep and has something for everyone. The eclectic menu has everything from homemade meatballs that are unlike any you’ve ever had to the freshest fish caught earlier that day. There is an assortment of apps and salads that will appease even the most discerning of palettes. And after all of that there is a delicious assortment of desserts, coffees and after dinner cordials. The dining room and bath are spotless, the artwork on the walls provide a burst of color to an otherwise crisp white canvas and the staff is what puts Lahaina Grill over the top. A (4) star review is a very good review but what rates a fifth star is when the restaurant goes above and beyond the norm. Tonight it was Stacy that made the experience so exceptional. A great spirit and personality with eyes and a smile that can melt the Kauai pie. Thanks for making our evening so special, see you next year! The Coffman Party
Amazing as always! Brianna took great care of us. Waygu beef ravioli never disappoints and the sea bass special was fantastic. Lahaina Grill has been our favorite restaurant on Maui since our first visit about 15 years ago- in fact, it remains one our favorite restaurants period!
Wow, the best we've experienced in Maui! Pricey, but the food was perfectly prepared and delicious. Our server was outstanding - even had his level 3 sommelier certificate which helped getting a very nice wine. No view, but an attractive dining room. Highest recommendation.
Lovely service. Logan was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and full of charm. The restaurant was incredibly accommodating regarding substitutions and even gave us an extra ravioli so each guest in my party could taste. The food was not cheap, but it’s delicious, imaginative, and fresh.
Absolutely amazing from the moment you walk in. Every staff member knows how to provide customer service at the highest level. Felt like every person was truly interested in providing all guests top notch service.
Food was impeccable and definitely worth the visit. Ossobucco, lobster risotto and the special sea bass were all to die for. Will be back.
I chose "Lahaina Grill" for our anniversary dinner solely based on reviews on Yelp and OpenTable and it ended up as a truly 5-star dining experience, which made our anniversary that much more special. This started with a very friendly greeting on entrance, a great service by our waiter and all staff, a "happy anniversary" card handed to us hand-signed by the entire staff (!), a picture of us taken (which was sent to us by the proprietor a day after) and last but not least: the exceptional food and a little dessert surprise at the end. We started with spring rolls as appetizer. As main course I chose the Seabass special of the day with Shrimp and edamame rice and my GF had the "lion paw scallops". The seafood was insanely good: Seabass, Shrimp and Scallops cooked to perfection. We paired this with a half bottle of 2014 Honig Sauvignon Blanc, which turned out to be a great choice with our seafood meals. The surprise dessert must have been their "triple berry pie" (we forgot to ask), which was also really good. Not too sweet, great tasting berries with a nice pie crust. The proverbial "icing on the cake" for this dinner. Not sure when we will be back on Maui, but if so, we definitely will come back. Highly recommended!
the place was packed and very noisy (which is to be expected). however, the service was bad. they didn't seem understaffed, just a bunch of people standing around. and the onion soup is something you can buy in a store. overall, way overrated. Matteo's is a much better option.
