Food was incredible and service was great! One of the best places in Maui!
Loved the food and friendly wait-staff! We were seated right on the water. This is a place we go to when we visit Maui.
We decided to go for Valentines with my wife’s sister and her husband. The service was well below our expectations given the prices. The food was mediocre at best with the the mixed seafood dish a combination of tasteless and fishy. The only truly enjoyable food was the kale Caesar salad. We won’t be back and this was our third visit over the last few years. The waiter even took our bottle of wine away with wine left in the bottle. I guess he was thirsty!
Our reservation was ready when we arrived, about ten minutes early, they had a Rose for my wife and a nice placard at our table congratulating our ten year anniversary, which I really thought was a nice touch. The place smelled like musty, stringent decay, which was pretty off-putting, being that it was dinner time on valentines, I didn’t have the choice to leave since everything was booked. It was raining so I figured this being an old building it must have some issues. I had been here for lunch on a different day and hadn’t noticed the smell. We waited for a good 5 minutes before our waitress greeted us, which was a little annoying, but we were in no hurry so it didn’t really bother me and they were busy. The food is really good, we had the calamari, breaded strips cooked well. Lobster ceveiche, which was okay, really not a lot of flavor. Charred brocollini which was what you’d expect. We split the opah (moon fish) with a buerre blanch sauce atop mashed potatoes with a piece of bacon wrapped lobster on top, this was very good and tasty. Overall I would recommend this place, it is a tourist trap, but has solid food, and feels like you’re experiencing a part
Of old lahaina history when you eat here, it is right on the water which is also nice.
Ok due to the view. All of the restaurants along the water in that area are old and “tired” but we went for lunch for the view.
Incredibly disappointing all around
Lunch for two on Tuesday, February 13. 2018
Ordered two cocktails, lava flow and tropical margarita, both extremely sweet (yes, even for tropicals) and not very good
We split the farm salad and an order of fish and chips
Salad came very quickly. Greens were fine, but it was literally swimming in dressing
Still no drinks at this point however
Finally, after 20 minutes drinks arrived
Fish a chips were dry and tasted like frozen fish sticks of my childhood, fries were soggy and limp and tasteless
Server never checked in with us to see if the food was acceptable or the order accurate- next time we saw him was to drop off the bill
Other than the view, there really is no reason to eat here
Amazing sunset dinner with wonderful service from the entire staff.
Great views and outstanding food.
Food was mediocre, drinks were terrible (had a mojito that tasted like mildly flavored water). Location and view was great if you can get seated in a table next to the railing, otherwise you’re in a dingy dark outdated restaurant. Service was adequate. Not great for the money.
Exceeded our expectations! Food was amazing. Four of us ordered different appetizers and entrees and we all loved every morsel. Very reasonable prices. Large portions. Incredible presentation and delicious food.
The only negative comment would be that the ladies washroom was awful. Bins overflowing with paper towels. Paper littering the floors. I would normally have turned around and left without eating after visiting the washrooms, but because there were four of us, I decided to give the place a try. Very glad that we did.
We will go again, but will avoid the washroom.
