Had a nice dinner , sat at the bar. Our server was the best
One of our most favorite places! Enjoyed, as usual!
I love the neighborhood feel; food is priced reasonably and is very good; varied menu with some creativity; staff is friendly and accommodating. Sometimes feel rushed with early closing time. Lagerhead is a welcome addition to our neighborhood.
Went for burger nite, great Juicy Lucy...xxxxxxxxxxxx
This is the second time we dined at LagerHead; both were positive experiences. It was a bit noisier than previously but that was do to a birthday party in our general area. Nice selection on menu and also beverages. We will certainly be dining here again.
Claudia and Ricky are the best staff and do all they can to make your time at Loggerhead the very best it can be!!
Music too loud for one of our guests.
But overall nice.
Bread or complimentary something would have been nice.
Great local place. Sat at the bar. Enjoyed talking to the bartender. Food was awesome!
First time there. Very good experience. Service most impressive for a neighbor hood restaurant.
When we arrived, they had no record of our reservation although we did get Open Table credit for being there. They seated us at a great table anyway. There was a guitarist playing with the sound cranked up so high the four of us had to shout to be heard. The food was excellent, but our waitperson got part of our order wrong. She did not honor our request to serve us slowly with time between courses, bringing our entree before we had finished our appetizers. We’ve been to this restaurant before many times and it was never like this before.
Don’t take reservations at 8:45 when you close at 9. The food and service were great but we were rushed.
Great burgers and homemade chips, friendly service too.
Brunch on a Sunday with husband and sister. Outstanding calamari appetizer. Juicy Lucy was delicious. As was the fried flounder sandwich and short stack of pancakes. We had such a lovely time. Great service and beautiful location. We will definitely be returning.
Neighborhood golf dining rm. Limited menu, likely straight off the Performance Food truck. Not too impressive though service was well intended.
Service and food quality was excellent as always.
New Prime Rib sandwich was delicious as was the home made vegetable soup
Our gem of the neighborhood. I hate to give this five stars because I would like it to be a secret. But it’s the perfect place for great food, wine, and perfect service.
Great meal. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent menu choices. Friendly staff.
love this neighborhood gem. Beware - noise level is lively. Great food and relaxed atmosphere
We enjoyed our early dining experience on the patio overlooking the golf course. It was trivia night inside and the place was full and noisy. This resulted in a very busy server who did her best in the midst of it all. We had eaten here twice in the past at the hightops near the bar - sandwiches & burgers, and I thought of it more as a bar with food. This visit was a better dining experience. Good food at a decent price. The desserts are made on site as well.
Gated golf community; very nice entrance with merchandise for sale. large groups seated along window for view of golf course; undercover out door seating with gas heaters. Friendly staff and very good food for the price.
The ambiance was very good, the service and warmth of employees was superb, the food was very good quality and the value was certainly reasonable. We will return!
Went with family visiting from out of town on the Wednesday Burger night. All of us had various types of cheeseburgers. All were cooked to order, cheeseburgers large, as well as French fries and/or home made chips excellent. A good deal for $10. Service also extremely good.
Great selection of both food an drink. Friendly and helpful staff. Dining choices were varied and met the needs of all members of my dinner party.
Nrver got service after 20 minutes outside, so no food teview
Six of us having a get together, three had prime rib and three went off the early dining menu. My crab stuffed flounder was amazing! Same comments from the herb crusted salmon and the pasta diamare. I had a bite of my husband’s prime rib (all were prepared exactly as ordered) and the flavor was good but not particularly tender. I noticed everyone struggled while cutting their meat. So not sure if the meat was tough or the knives were dull. But no one complained.
The biggest problem was the noise level. Actually painfully loud, which had never happened before. Next time we come here it won’t be a Thursday evening. If not for that, the meal would have been perfect.
Great location for a good meal for any occasion.
Terrific happy hour menu with a great selection of food and drink.
Very attentive service
Good Prime rib night and good service...................................... Newly redone and nice golf views.
Excellent service. Has excellent food specials for NFL football games on Sunday. Go Browns.
Food is good and the service is always attentive
Each evening has another theme and a special dish. Wednesday thru Saturday a reservation is wise
Our HHP neighborhood enjoyed a wonderful early bird/happy hour gathering at Lagerhead. We were on the patio where two large tables were set up for us. There was plenty of room to visit and move around. Some enjoyed the appetizers and others enjoyed the 'Early Bird' all night on a Monday. Our waiter Rickie was fantastic and served all 20 of us quickly and correctly. It certainly is a neighborhood gem in our plantation!!
Ribs were great - fell off the bones. I had a shrimp burger - very good - got the wrong side but it was immediately corrected. It was not busy inside but there were several tables of customers outside. We are very happy to have this restaurant so close.
Enjoyed our dinner @ the Tavern. Ate outside and enjoyed the patio on a beautiful evening. Food was good and service was friendly and efficient. Would visit again!
Prime Rib was nicely cooked with mashed potatoes. Disappointed that bread and vegetables were not included. Desert was extra with minimal choices.
Generally speaking, this was not a great experience. With such a plethora of other good options on Hilton Head, I would be hard pressed to return to Lagerhead Tavern. The food was good & at a pretty good value, but the issue really was the service. The restaurant was not that busy, but everything took too long. Maybe we got a new/inexperienced server. Whatever the reason, the service was quite inefficient. It took about 10-15 minutes to get our drinks out of the bar, as an example. The final straw for me was when my 5 year old daughter was served sour milk. That's something that could actually make her sick! We let the server know & she apologized, but nothing else was done about it. Nothing was taken off the check, nor did a manager come to the table to follow up. Also, they keep the temperature inside pretty high. I was uncomfortable. My guess is they're really in business to cater to the retiree community that surrounds the restaurant. The average age in the restaurant was probably in the 70's.
The service here was horrific. We had a party of seven with three young kids (6, 4 & 1) and at no point were we presented with a children’s menu. In fact, we were led to believe there wasn’t a children’s menu. As such, I ordered full-sized (and full-priced!) entrees for the kids and they barely touched them. We ordered the vegetarian burger for my oldest. It was mushy and she only ate the bun and the avocado. I ordered the club for my middle and while it was yummy, it was too big for her so she got frustrated and ate my husband’s chicken wings. The waitress also failed to bring her side of fruit until I asked repeatedly for her to bring it. When I asked for refills on our waters, she filled half of the cups then left the empty pitcher on or table and never returned.
As we were leaving, I saw a “Little Laggerheads” menu on the hostess stand and stopped to ask why we weren’t presented with this menu (btw, it features typical kid food (Mac and cheese, hot dogs, grilled cheese, etc.) and each meal costs only $6 as opposed to the $16-$20 meals I ordered for them. I was told through a thin smile that she simply “forgot.”
I call B.S.
We were scammed and treated like inconvient outsiders.
Good as always
As usual when we are in Hilton Head, we stayed too long on the beach and made our dinner plans late and on the fly. An early evening thunderstorm rolled in, making the always busy restaurant scene even more so, so we opened the Open Table app and found this place which (bonus!) could accommodate our party of 12. Located at the Hilton Head Plantatiion golf club, we found the service excellent, the menu thoughtful and straightforward, and the food preparation and presentation timely and tasty. Not to mention an excellent bartender who got every drink right and delivered quickly. Be sure to try the baked oyster appetizer.
We had a table of seven and the service was great. We all had a very great meal. Would recommend to anyone.
