Lafayette Village Grill
The original artwork displayed at The Village Grill adds to the restaurant’s dynamic and fun ambiance. The Village Grill’s outdoor patio overlooks Lafayette Village’s “Green” preserve. Enjoy the view of stately oaks, water fountains, and open space. After dinner, walk the slate-paved paths of the traffic-free shopping village and visit the other stores and restaurants in this enchanting village!
Lunch menu is good and fast
Entree course was delivered within three minutes of the appetizer. We had barely started eating the appetizer, therefore the entree was cold by the time we got to it. This is the result of a young and untrained wait staff. I doubt we will be back.
Love eating fish here and the nachos with three sauces is great.
Always our go to! Love this place :)
We were not aware the menu would be different than advertised . Food was warm not hot and seemed under staffed
Very nice place 👍. The atmosphere was very layed back. Family friendly.
Cold soup, nasty pasta. Very disappointed especially for mother’s day dinner.
The food was very good and our server was great. He was very attentive and fun. The only down side was lack of seating for the handicapped. We were there with my mother who has a cane and has to sit at a regular table or booth. Their main room had high tops and booths with a step up to get into the booth. They had a side room with tables that was small with doors that closed. For some reason they kept closing the door and the noise level increased tremendously. You couldn’t hear anyone talking at your table. It was mother’s day, so the room was crowded with guests. They had outside seating and it wasn’t offered as an option. I’m not sure why. There was a risk of rain so I didn’t ask if we could sit outside. If they ever do a remodel they should eliminate the high top tables for regular tables to provide more seating for handicapped people.
Service was extremely slow. I ordered pancakes, and they were store bought frozen pancakes cooked in the microwave. My friend ordered waffles, and they were Eggo waffles. The food was not good.
This is one of our go-places for dinner. It is a wonderful place to meet up with friends. Then have a wide variety of food on the menu all g with a full bar. Pretty much something for everyone. When the weather is nice they have a fabulous outdoor seating space.
The food tasted like glorified fast food. I can imagine the only reason this restaurant has stayed in business is that it has a prime location at Lafayette Village.
Server tried hard but bar was slow to make drinks. Well drinks were $5 that night and we were charged $6. Also got charged for bacon on the side which was included on my burger. No big deal but it’s details that take away from 5 star rating. We were seated in room to side right which doesn’t have any atmosphere. Everyone was there to watch Canes playoff sweep but TVs were muted so we couldn’t enjoy the sound and excitement on the game.
Village grill has great TV setup. But the food, service fair at best.
First time here . Definitely will be back. Wonderful menu
Thoroughly enjoyed the wine dinner...although too full to eat everything😊
Great location, great service, but the food needs to improve.
Easter brunch was outstanding. The lemon/berry French toast was off-the-chart. Glad I tried this restaurant a second time.
Easter brunch was great!
Great atmosphere. Great food. The service was top notch, I'd highly recommend it.
We love Jimi!!
This used to be a great restaurant and bar. Now the food is a little less than mediocre. The service on our last visit was nonexistent. It's sad to see how the restaurant has gone downhill.
We had a horrible time here. The server was rude, we waited 1.5 hours for our food and it was completely cold and inedible when it arrived. We never got drink refills. Ended up leaving hungry and had to go somewhere else. The server never apologized. So disappointing, no one should go here.
Many peanut items on the menu which is difficult for our family to dine at this restaurant & be assured that there is no cross contamination in the kitchen (we always mention this to our waitress). Volume inside at 6pm was high as expected which was difficult for my elderly father to deal with (no tables outside avail. when we arrived -- did not book outside originally b/c did not know if weather would be nice). Overall, I enjoy this restaurant.
Delicious food, great service! It was a little noisy but that is to be expected when dining out. Enjoyed the wine special, blackened salmon and cannolis for dessert.
This place was recommended to us. My hubs and I were on a date night and decided to go. The server was clueless. We had to ask for water , silverware that was clean. The food took way to much time so much so that we thought they forgot about us. Then when we got our food the fries were cold and my chicken was burnt. It was the worst experience. We were so beside ourself that we got the check, paid and left. Such a disappointment!!!
Really enjoyed the experience. The waitress was excellent during such a busy time she was very attentive to the needs of our group of 11. The food was good.
It was good to go a little early and beat the rush. Our server, David, was excellent. All but one of our party was impressed with our food (the cedar plank salmon and the sweet potato crusted grouper were especially outstanding). This was my second visit, and will happily return to dine here again.
Good for business meetings
Great bar. Food is good, service is OK. Menu has more than just bar food
The food was good. Service was okay. You need to change the odd derogatory paintings.
Lasagna is excellent, server very friendly and efficient
The service here was amazing and the food is just perfect and very reasonable in pricing. I always coordinate my work functions here because the fun and classy atmosphere, the bar and restaurant staff are great, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend.
I always forget why i stopped going there until I go and then realize there is nothing good about the place, sad since there are some good places nearby.
Nice spot in back room near fireplace. Service was very good as was the food.
Consistent quality food and service
Food was good. Beer service was funny. Order one draft to have it substituted without telling me. Ordered a dark beer and a blond came out so knew right away it was wrong. Told bartender said to substitute because they were out of ordered draft beer. Odd
First time back after a few years and was disappointed in the service and somewhat the food. There was no excuse in being offered extra sauce to be provided for our table and then it took 3 requests to various wait staff for it to arrive. Also, took forever to get refills on our drinks. I was thinking of making reservations in the future for a luncheon group I belong to and now have crossed the Village Grill off the list.
I really do love going to village grill. Their food has always been great, however we went the other night and I tried something new. I tried the tuna salad and the lettuce seemed a bit old. The server was very sweet, however she did not come till later in the meal after I ate most of the tuna. She was very considerate when I said the lettuce seemed old and offered to get me a new meal but I was really done at that point. They handled it nicely and I will definitely continue to come. I also need to remember to say less salt on the homemade chips which you should definitely try.
The salmon has always been awesome as well as the burgers and steak.
Did not have the same food that was on the website.
Delicious food, entrees and sides. Reasonably priced cocktails. Kevin was attentive to any need but not overbearing. Enjoyed the casual atmosphere with white linen quality service! Will definitely return and recommend to friends!
