I’m never disappointed with the Lafayette House.
Food is always great, chef accommodates for my wife’s vegan diet. Service is always great and having a cocktail in the lounge before and or after dinner to hear some live music, what more could you ask for! I love this restaurant!

Food and service was good. Went with the senior aunties for lunch, who were happy with the food. Basic, old timey menu—fish & chips, liver & onions, fried scallops, prime rib. Desserts were a bit disappointing though.

In town for a hockey tournament, great place to eat. Food was great, the bacon wrapped scallops excellent. Stuffed shrimp and the veal oscar were great. Huge portions for pasta for the kids. Great experience.

It was Easter day so I wasn't surprised that they were running late on reservations. It was pretty loud due to the sheer volume of diners and also the screaming of toddlers. My biggest problem was with the prices. Particularly, $30 for the ham entree was too much. All the meals should have included dessert and coffee, which were priced separately at $4 and $2.50, respectively.

Also, there should have been a chicken entree on the menu besides the kids' chicken fingers.

Easter Brunch was a huge disappointment ! The seating was very tight , had to squeeze to get out of table . Out of Champagne at 12:30 PM. Very expensive for what was offered. Wait Staff was not involved and hard to find. My first and last time at this restaurant.

Stopped for lunch on a Sunday. Great little pub feel. Enough options on the menu to please just about anyone without being overwhelming. Friendly staff, attentive and well-paced on the serving.

Priced nicely for a lunch or casual dinner. Good selection of brews and drinks! we would return.

It was my friend's birthday, lunch was very nice. The service was excellent. We sat and caught up for 2-1/2 hours, we were not bothered, we had salads which were very fresh and plentiful. It was a great place to celebrate a special lunch!!!

A bit pricey, but food is delicious, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, quiet, and the crackling fireplace made for a cozy atmosphere on a snowy evening. Service is courteous, professional, and friendly. Terrific cocktails, wonderful food and service, and a lovely atmosphere made for a very nice evening.

Being a bit on the mature side, my wife and I arrived at 5:30 pm. We were warmly greeted by two staff members and immediately seated in a finely decorated room.

The staff was very attentive - bringing crackers and cheese to start the evening's meal. We were offered a beverage - with me choosing an apricot sour and my wife - a riesling. We both enjoyed our choices.

The bread was warm and tasty as was the cup of clam chowder. Plenty of clams and a thick liquid.

We both ordered the prime rib (medium) - which arrived a bit on the rare side. I never send anything back to the kitchen, so we made due.

To keep this short and sweet, everything was great up until the entree arrived. Romantic setting and all - but don't expect the meat to be the meal you might be dreaming for.

Set amidst the strip malls of Foxboro on Rt. 1, this charming historic building houses a restaurant with a rather boring and basic menu. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for the food, though it was certainly edible, but the service was good and the setting very charming.

We visited prior to the Patriot's playoff game vs Tennessee and it was a smart choice. The Lafayette House has loads of character and is a neat spot to visit and they did a great job of hosting hungry fans prior to the game. You could order off the menu or opt for a huge buffet spread they assembled. The food was very good as was the service. I would most certainly make the same decision again!

Spent a few hours dining before the Patriots game. There was a special buffet for the occasion with meatballs, ziti, salad, 2 types of chicken wings, salmon, a carving station with turkey and roast beef. It was a good value.

We sat in the lounge and watched the early NFL playoff game. Enjoyed drinks and dinner, football and friends.

Great time

Our gathering was a belated celebration of Christmas. Lafayette does a wonderful job of decorating for the Christmas season, so it is the perfect atmosphere. The food is always good; and last Saturday was no exception. Each of us had a different meal, equally enjoyed. Wait staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Food was excellent, atmosphere wonderful and unique to New England. The service was a bit slow and our server was somewhat inattentive, so plan on extra time as this is not a quick in and out type of place.

This was a beautiful well done Christmas buffet the food was outstanding. The service was outstanding as well.
It was also nice there was a limit to the amount of people being served at any one time,
Prevented long lines and overcrowding.

My daughter and I were to celebrate Christmas there as it was just the two of us before we went to the airport for flights in different directions . Our table was not ready so we were asked to sit in the bar. When trying to get a drink, my daughter was told the bartender could not serve if we had a table. I then went up and told him we had a table in the bar. He refused to serve me saying he was too busy with the waiters. At my table I saw a man go up and order two glasses of wine - I called the hostess over and asked why he refused to serve us but is serving the male customer? At that point the bartender came over and yelled I was going to serve you - I did not refuse to serve you! I said he did refuse us and then served the man. He was very angry and asked my daughter what she wanted ( did not ask me) My daughter asked for Malbec and he said he did not have Malbec- my daughter pointed out the bottle of Malbec on the bar. He didn’t say anything but brought the glass of wine over and took our money and yelled loudly saying “Next year I’ll just tell all the bartenders that they cannot spend Christmas with their family.” At that point I went to the bar and asked for our money back saying we were leaving. He said fine and handed me back my money. I told the hostess to cancel the reservation. We left and went to Legal Seafood. We later googled the restaurant to send a complaint and found out HE was the owner!! I have never been so badly treated in a restaurant- I was dumbfounded- he is an abusive angry man who has no business dealing with the public. In addition we also observed him pouring leftover wine back into the bottle and scooping ice with the glasses ( which anyone in the restaurant business knows shouldn’t be done) and it may even be illegal! I will never step foot in that restaurant again and I will let everyone I know of this horrible person and experience! You should also remove them from Open Table

We had a fantastic brunch on Christmas Day. Shrimp, salad , beef, turkey, fish and assorted vegetables. There was a dessert selection of creme brûlée, pudding and a chocolate tower!
Excellent food, service and value.
Looking forward to the next meal at Lafayette House.
