Food was delicious the older women were a hoot the waitress and hostess
Food and the ambiance was excellent. The service was slow. We went on a Monday night and there was a very small crowd....only 2 additional tables. One server was helping all of us with no busser. We would definitely go back on a different night.
We enjoy going to this restaurant- it's very cozy, the drinks are good, the prices are pretty reasonable and the food is fine
Horrible wait staff
Took so long to get to us
An event was going on the day we went. The parking attendant was obnoxious and turned us off the minute we arrived. The food was expensive and the service was very slow.
Excellent quality food sitting amongst history from the 1700's. It's awesome sitting where famous historical characters have visited and dined. this place is a treasure.
Really cool old establishment, building from 1700’s. We had burgers and drinks cooked exactly right very good! Also really close to Gilette stadium if you are seeing a concert.
Food was decent but service was slow, even though it wasn’t that busy. Atmosphere was nice
Good for private parties. Convenient location. Nice service. Period colonial decor
It’s an historic building with very traditional decor and dining. They were great about accommodating our group last minute though the service was more professional than warm. A good option for special occasion dining.
The food was excellent. This was or second recent return and it was every bit as good as I remembered. I don't know why it didn't occur to us before now but we will certainly return again.
Bad service. Fish with Bread crumbs is not a crusted fish. I would not pay $3 for a meal from this place. Awful awful awful - avoid at all cost
We stopped by the Lafayette House on a whim after finding them on Google. It was an excellent choice. The food was well insanely delicious and worth the cost.
Too expensive for the quality of food saved. Service was great but the food is overpriced.
Loved it. Made a reservation for a small group to celebrate college graduation. Service was outstanding, very personal and warm. Did not rush us at all and was very considerate even when we were running a little late on arrival. Food was excellent and great value. Chef even made something special for my 91 year old mother who wanted stuffed mushrooms. Atmosphere is charming and quaint. Cannot say enough about this restaurant. Truly wonderful experience. Thank you!
After decades of driving by this place on my way to work, games, concerts, and other Patriots Place activities, we finally tried it. We are glad we did. We will make this a frequent spot. I had the twin filets and lobster. It was perfect. My wife had the scallops. Delectable. Definitely a place to go for a quiet or romantic dinner. Very nice ambiance, good food, good service.
Food was ok. Service not great. We saw a mouse in the room, but nobody felt it was an issue. Disappointing - we have been there in the past and it was good. Not sure we will ever go there again.
The mouse sitting in the middle of the back dining room on Mother's day pretty much ruined the experience. Also the special Mother's day menu was a price gouging. Never again...
The old building is no longer charming. The prime rib tasted good but there was way too much fat. The fish was not good at all.
Wonderful staff. Worked so hard on Mother’s Day. Thank you.
We were a little last minute making Mother's Day reservations -- the fact that we could get a table for 6 the day before should have tipped us off.
It was a buffet, which was logistically great, but the food cold and fairly tasteless. I wish the website had posted the price of this buffet because I totally would have stayed home and cooked, but I never would have thought a sketchy buffet for 6 people would cost $400.
The service was terrible -- I had to search out a pitcher to fill our water, and a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill.
We enjoyed the buffet on Mother's Day, but our 'waiter' was not a pleasant part of the day. At one point he tossed a tea bag across the table to one member of our party. We asked about the coffee and he told us "We don't have regular coffee. ..only decaf because that is what everyone is drinking now." To top it off, he ADDED A 20% TIP for a party of 5 for a BUFFET!
I would recommend this restaurant because my family had had some milestone dinners here (i.e., graduation ) which we remember fondly. Unfortunately, this was not one of those experiences.
Service was wonderful; Buffett fabulous. I would love to go back. I liked the elegance of the orchids in the windows and how each room I like how the rooms were decorated and good selections of food.
Mud Pie at end bonus
Good buffet spread. Nice omelette station and carved meats. Overall, good experience with family for Mother’s Day brunch.
Food was really good. We had calamari, and two salmon dishes. Food was very good. We had a table in the back that was quiet and nice. Overall we had a really good experience. Crowd is a bit older just as an fyi.
My family had an excellent dinner experience. The wait staff was friendly. The restaurant was lovely, and our meals were delicious. I highly recommend!
The only reason I didn't give you a perfect score was because you weren't able to provide a table in front of a crackling fire with snow gently falling outside the Lacey dressed windows. Otherwise it was a practically perfect family gathering. Thank you!!
My mom and I had are first visit, and it was wonderful the chef even deshelled my moms lobster for her!!!!!! The server was beyond great and the hostess sent over a dessert treat for my moms birthday. We will be definitely coming back and telling all are friends and family. Thank you again to the whole staff what a amazing place!!!!
Fixed menu limited choice and very expensive. The place smelled funny and it was full of a senior clientele. I didn’t like it at all.
The menu offered a great selection. We had the rack of lamb. I think it was good value.
Best Easter Brunch! So much to choose from! Love their brunch buffet!
Easter was nostalgic!
Overall our experience was excellent!
Lafayette House is a refreshing nod to earlier times; of a colonial mansion setting; attentive service; quiet, intimate, beautifully decorated dining rooms; and above all, consistently well-prepared dinners. My grilled swordfish was cooked perfectly, fresh and flavorful.
Very cool old place ... food and experience was better than expected ... have some premium wines.. and the pub also has a cool more laid back feel with a different menu, with live music Friday/Saturday ... friendly staff as well!
Great dining experience excellent food excellent service
Salmon was raw/ partially cooked.
Great Mill traditional old Time restaurant recommended highly
Had a party of 10 for my daughter's birthday, everyone enjoyed their food, our server, and every other staff member we had contact with, was wonderful. I have Celiac's disease, my broiled scallops we're adjusted to fit my needs and I had no issues at all. Drinks were excellent, and desserts were perfect.
