It’s a pleasant to have such a beautiful dinner with their astonishing decoration
The server was charming but awful at his job! He couldn’t get the order straight-we we’re 6people-and after confirming it 3-4times, still confused starters & entrees & then forgot to serve one of the entrees. The food was just ok & not good enough for the prices they charge. The garden has always been one of the prettiest in NYC. Go for drinks -eat elsewhere
The waiter needed to get his acts together with his unwelcome comments and sarcasm.
Receptionist was rude, management was invisible. Food was disappointing. Have been here so many times so was very sad
It was such a wonderful experience. I'll definitely recommend it to my friends.
You are going here for the ambiance! All of the decor and the setting is gorgeous. You are paying for that, and if you want a lovely place to sit and feel precious, this is perfect. There are some special treats (like the macarons from Paris), but most of the dishes are pretty sub-par. Drink some coffee, have an omelet, nosh on pastries. The courtyard is the dreamiest place you've ever eaten overpriced diner food in your life.
The entrance to the restaurant is not the address listed on Google. I had to walk through the store front pass the kitchen ... not the wow factor I was hoping to give my baby on her big day. The restaurant opens at 10 am, the restaurant ran out of the bread used to make French toast.... my child had to eat regular eggs and potatoes... poor management and ordering. Beautiful please but disappointed in the food.
Beautiful oasis in the heart of Soho. Loved it. Will definitely be back.
The place is gorgeous and the music played nice! But the waiters and the hostess were indifferent and slow. When we wanted to order the quiche they said they didn’t have any that day or any of the omelettes. Quite disappointing for a “French place”. Two out of four macaroons were stealthy. I wish they had taken more care of the menu and the people’s behavior because it’s a gorgeous and magical place.
The front line staff was harried and testy. Our waiter was charming but he complained that he had been yelled at. On my way out, a customer elbowed me in the eye. Although the ambiance is elegant and the food was tolerable, the vibe was unpleasant and I am not sure I will return
The staff was friendly, but very slow and inattentive at times. I usually have great experiences here, so I was surprised this time.
Loved it! I’ve always wanted to come here and it exceeded my expectations.
The service was extremely slow. We waited 20 minutes to place our order. We waited a half an hour after that for our tea. The food was good. We asked to order macarons and the waiter never came back. We had to ask multiple times and ended up taking them to go. The service was way too slow.
Service was awful. We felt extremely rushed to order and rushed to leave! No modifications were able to be made to the food and we found ourselves standing to search for the servers multiple times. Water was WARM, food was not, and although the ambiance was STUNNING- the prices were not worth it!
My friend and I had an amazing time. The food was superb, the service attentive and kind, the music and ambience awesome. I felt like I took a mini getaway to France. Definitely will return.
The Laduree patio in good weather is not to be missed—a large and lovely oasis in the bustle of the city. We went for brunch and all the food we ordered was spot on—quiche Lorraine, avocado toast, Laduree omelette, fruit salad, strawberry French toast. Coffee was delicious, cocktails were inconsistent (one excellent Bloody Mary then one meh; I think there was a bartender switch). Our server was kind but stretched—we waited a while for drinks, food, requests for condiments, second drinks. Be sure to get macarons and pastries either for dessert or from the case on the way out!
Best high tea in NYC. Vegan options are pretty good.
The outside garden is absoultely stunning, music is playing softly so you can enjoy your conversations with your friends. Our waiter was lovely, I was very disappointed on the wait time to actually get our drinks and food etc.. The wait is time is ridiculous, we started with drinks those took about 15-20 mins, than we ordered a seafood tower which the small was about 180 we thought ok a little pricey but we love a good tower. The tower took about 30-35 mins to arrive and what a disappointment when it finally was brouht to the table. This was a platter not a tower with more ice than actual seafood, there were about 12 sorry little oysters,a cut up not whole lobster and a tuna tartare that was mainly avocado "where is the tuna" this should be renamed to Avocado tartare. A few shrimps not enough of anything to justify the 180 price for a seafood tower. Definitely Balthazar is the place for your seafood tower, I would even say La Grand Boucherie hands down has a real seafood tower. Please take notes Laduree, the dinner arrived at a late way after time.. I would say the dinner was good and the drinks were also good, so this is definitely a review for the seafood tower. Lastly the waiter super friendly and courteous. If you plan a date night stay away from that seafood tower but everything else was Fine. Did not have a chance to order dessert as I felt after the high price seafood tower I would just grab a pastry down the block. Sorry Laduree but I was not happy about that tower!
Beautiful ambiance. Excellent service and food.
This used to be our favorite go to for lunch, brunch or coffee. I've been going for years, having enjoyed Laduree Paris for eons. Our waiter could have cared less and was unhelpful almost sarcastic. The menu is pared way down. None of the things we enjoy was on the menu and they were out of things left and right. Our french fries, which came after the meal, were barley cooked. The inside restaurant smelled a bit of a bathroom. Bathrooms were untidy at best. Long time before I'll ever go back. Such a disappointment. Not sure what happened. The ball got dropped big time. Sad
Food was good, albeit expensive. The garden is STUNNING. Hostess was very kind, and the server was nice but had a very large section so his service was a little slow. I would come back for a nice brunch! I wish they allowed people to share a teapot because neither my husband nor myself could finish one by ourselves (which are $7/ea).
The ambience is amazing here and the staff is so sweet.
Beautiful place to sit and chat
Beautiful place; loved interior dining room; food was good; server was nice but it felt very rushed; a bit overpriced : $11.00 for Virgin Mary?
Nice time service was good, I love dining experiences
It was fun and super nice I had an amazing time with my girlfriend the food tasted amazing and the service was super Friendly
Terrific service, unbeatable location and festive ambiance. Lamb cooked to perfection, but fries served lukewarm. Most curious for a macaron specialist, the selection of macarons was horrible: only lavender, tea, passionfruit and orange blossom! Lavender and orange blossom tasted like soap. Passionfruit filling was like jam ... no chocolate, no pistachio, no vanilla ... very strange and ultimately disappointing. But the courtyard is still magical and we will be back.
What a lovely garden in Soho, would recommend easily except for the Croque Monsieur, which was a disappointment. Make a delicious CM in the French tradition and it would be deserving of 5 stars.
Lucky to have had a great server as the lady who greeted was super hostile. The conversation went “hi I have a table reserved for 11.15 outdoors”.
Her reply “what are you going to be ordering - a full meal or coffee and pastries?” (There were 40% of tables occupied outside).
The latter I answered.
“I do not know what you are talking about” was her reply
Oh. Um. Well the coffee and pastries please I clarified.
“You will have to go inside then” she retorted.
Oh...Open Table didn’t make that clear I said. Ok, we’ll order food then.
She gruffly walked us to the darkest table there. Of course we asked for another.
If I wasn’t entertaining a business contact I’d have walked out & if I hadn’t experienced Laduree at it’s best on other occasions, I would strike it from my list.
Please be more welcoming.
Great service and food!!
They used to have a really good chef, This one is not inspired. I think man post pandemic they might be short staffed. I am not in a hurry to return until they change the chef. the desserts were perfect. My rating would be 3 1/2, but that's not an option. Iwould maybe recommend ii to a friend, but with qualifiers. The place is so beautiful and special. The food should be as well.
Amazing experience as always. The staff was so helpful. We were late because of the Memorial Day traffic and the host still made sure we are taken care of. The food was amazing which I don’t have explain.
Decadent and delicious! Lauduree is always such a great place to eat!
Macarons are amazing!! Service okay. Food alright. I would return for Pastries and tea.
My daughter and I enjoyed brunch here. Very nice!
It was nice patio area considering it was raining
Place was dead. Also there was no ice cream in the menu for desert.
Service was fine but could be more attentive given the namesake of the restaurant.
Everything was perfect, nothing else to say.
