Great spot for brunch
Macrons are delicious! Roasted chicken is TERRIBLE!!! Dry and served on terrible tasting mushroom sauce! Will only eat here for dessert!
Just awesome and ambient!
They did not serve tea said there machine did not work. Really just heat up water. You can make soup. There machine has not been working since December 28 and we went there January 5. Tea is there things maybe fix machine ASAP. Also our waitress was rude and unpleasant. So disappointed!!
Dont expect too much. Average
We were greeted by a friendly hostess and the smell of fresh pastries. Our waiter, George, was courteous, professional and warm. The experience was so great, I may have to make this location a must whenever I go into the city!
Staff was rude, food was terrible considering it’s very overpriced.
I expected more going into Laduree since I had frequented their locations in Paris before. Their reputation preceded them. However, the experience turned out to be nothing short of a disappointment. I never leave restaurant reviews but this visit warranted one considering how overpriced it was. We had a dinner reservation. Their menu wasn’t the same as the one they have posted online; my friends’ selections were either sub par or dry/over cooked. When it was finally time for dessert (the main reason for my birthday visit), they were out of all of our pastry requests, and they didn’t even have tea to offer. When asked if we could at least have hot water for us to steep our own tea bags into a ridiculous explanation was given: They were “out of hot water.” In sum, save your money and don’t go here unless you’d like some tea and dessert— in which case, ensure that your visit occurs before 6 pm lest they “run out of hot water” and tea.
It was very cold. No one could take their jackets off in the area we were sitting. I would have liked to see my cute outfit. I’m not sure why the heat couldn’t have been turned a little higher or get a better curtain to stop the draft.
The food was cold and very mediocre. Our waitress was standoffish and totally disinterested in assisting with my daughter’s dietary restriction. I tried to order tea but was told they couldn’t make it, because the “machine wasn’t working.” Is there no way to make hot water without that “machine?” Not to mention that when I went to the restroom I saw the barista making tea. We went because my younger daughter had read about it online. Major disappointment!!!
Service très deplorant , rien à voir avec Paris
The place was great! The macaroons delicious and the beverages too. The waitress was rude and smelled very bad, she made faces when my husband told her she could charge 10% for service (from a 70 dollar bill).
Had no tea available when I went and I basically made the reservation to experience a nice pot of tea and was told the machine was not working so I couldn’t have any
Amazing food. Always perfect 💕
We ordered the breakfast set, the scrabbled eggs were okay the croissants were sooo yummy! We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere me and my husband. But the service was so bad! The food was not brought on time some orders were missing and when we ordered the bill it took around 20 mins.
A quiet lunch with an esteemed colleague who is retiring. Great place to have a relaxed conversation with elegant appointments. This restaurant is my feel good place to go for a real treat.
Great macaroons , food is pricey and not much of it but cute place.
Increíblemente lindo el lugar, la comida buena nada espectacular pero el mobiliario muy lindo si esta para ir a conocer
Lunch for our family who ranged in age from 7 months to 98 years was a fine experience. The preparations of our entries were just right from poached eggs to potato leek soup to salmon avocado toast. Desserts and pastries paired up with a nice cup of copy round out a fine lunch.
Excellent breakfast we had here!
This is consistently my favorite place to take friends. The ambiance is outstanding and the food never disappoints.
the host was so special, very kind to my wheelchair bound guest. Gave us special attention, good seating and was charming. All that plus wonderful food suggestions make our day. Its amazing how having good staff sets the tone for a great time out. Thank him!
Made reservations for breakfast. Delicious, but server took forever to return to check on us or refill coffee. Also wish croissants were warm. Otherwise, wonderful for a girls breakfast.
Perfect place for teatime with the girls
Horrible service the manager was arrogant and rude.
Always a must when I visit NYC and Paris
It was only 8:30pm and when we were gonna order desserts only two out of the whole menu were available... 😮
Lovely atmosphere, good food.
The menu book is so old. The latte is good but the plate has coffee bean power on it. And my friend is pretty disappointed in the cleanness of their restroom. That totally made me skip it. Service and food are decent. So I gave 4 star.
I came here bc I’ve been to Laduree in London and loved it. This place was nice, not gorgeous like the one abroad, it was very crowded (holiday time) but we were seated at a table sort of near the front. That would have been fine, but every time the door opened- a got a blast of cold air. They had a curtain by the door, but it did nothing.
Our waitress was great, but our food came way too quickly, so there was no time to sip coffee and talk. We had a reservation, so I didn’t appreciate being rushed out bc they place was full of walk ins. Too expensive to be rushed out of there.
Very authentic French experience! Lovely atmosphere and the raspberry French toast was to die for!!! Highly recommend going here! Our favorite breakfast all week!
Beautiful atmosphere with delicious cakes and teas.
Christmas tea party with my grandkids
Loved it! First time...I will definitely be there again!
Small menu but good food , great service, nice environment
I absolutely love the Laduree on the upper east side so I had high expectations for the SOHO location. I took my best friend here who was visiting from out of state after raving to her about how much I loved Laduree. Well, it turned out to be an embarrassing mistake, I should have stuck to the smaller location I am used to and love. The staff at this location was SO disorganized, rude, arrogant, and did not provide an outstanding guest experience. The food, a lot of which isnt available in the Madison Avenue location was kind of mediocre for the price. I'll stick with the lovely Madison Avenue location. I felt so bad my best friend had to experience Laduree this way. She left completely disappointed and not understanding why I dragged her there.
The best breakfast we’ve ever had! An absolute delight! LOVED it! ❤️❤️❤️
The only negative was staff loudly gossiping and complaining amongst themselves at coffee bar.
Great place, service and presentation. The food is good but the price is unnecessarily high.
I had really high expectations of Lauderee since I've had their pastries many times before and absolutely loved them. My friends and I went there for her birthday but were sadly disappointed by the food. The truffle mac and cheese was possibly one of the most bland things I've had in my life, aside from my brother's stir fry, and it gave two of us a stomach ache, and the blinis were unfortunately dry.
The desserts were delicious, but instead of telling us which desserts were unavailable when giving us the menu or as we placed our orders, our waiter came back to inform us that we would have to choose five different ones which was incredibly disappointing. On top of that the waiter also said one of the desserts we ordered, the ispahan, was seasonal which might have been something to have stated when we ordered, not an entire six minutes after waiting for our desserts to arrive (the restaurant had several empty tables at the time so I'm not sure why it took so long). I later went to purchase some macaroons for my mom only to find that one of the "unavailable" desserts we ordered, the millefeuille vanilla, was in fact quite abundant in the front display case.
- I wouldn't waste my time on savoury food
- The few desserts that were available were delicious
- The waiter was nice despite not being informative
- Unfortunate wait times between ordering and finding out we couldn't get our desserts
- Not the best birthday dinner
Looking forward to another visit
My friends were equally impressed.
We each took a generous goodie bag home
