Paint pealing on the walls, furnishings stained and dilapidated, the rent must be too damn high down there in Soho. I knew going for a 6:30 dinner it would be quiet there but the staff checked out during the last hour of our meal and that was kind of disappointing. It's cute in the front, so just make it a quick visit.
This is a great place for some coffee and pastries. Instead of having regular brunch foods we decided to order from the pastry options and had dessert for brunch! It was also great to see that they could make a cappuccino with soy milk. Great for a cute date or special occasion with awesome pastries.
It was magical. Had a lovely afternoon at Laduree SOHO. Afternoon tea set the stage for the rest of our day.
Loved it and I am still thinking about the food. I want to go back as soon as possible.
The food is delicious... they cannot brew a good tea, so you should prefer coffee...
Charming, great food, wonderful desserts- perfect spot for brunch or lunch- or just a quick treat!
Food arrived cold was okay nothing special slow service
Took a while for a waiter to come ask us if we’d like anything besides water. Then after we’d ordered, they brought everything on the pre-fix brunch menu at once - coffee / juice + pastries + main eggs dish + an extra side of bread like they were in a rush to get us out.
This was my worst experience at Laduree Soho. I’ve been here many times, but this last time might possibly my last. Not only was it not in it’s cleanest state, but the table behind us was allowed to bring in their 2 dogs, and we were not sitting outside. One was small/medium size and the other was larger. I like dogs, but I don’t appreciate them under my feet while I’m eating in restaurant. On top of that, our waitress disappeared at one point for a very very long time and we had to call other people to get assistance. This was a horrible experience.
Amazing little spot- the macarons were to die for. The staff went out of the way to make me feel special for my birthday-it was lovely. Service was a tad slow- but I didn’t mind. It was so delicious I went back the next day.
The entire staff was attentive
The tea time choice is not very worth it with the price, but you can try with patries! They all taste good!
The service was awful. We were never checked in on. Our food arrived before our drinks. There weren’t even any napkins on the table. The eggs Benedict that were ordered were almost stone cold. We had our tables cleared and waited a long time to find someone to ask for our check, which then also took a ridiculous amount of time for them to process our payment. All over disappointing experience and will not be back.
It was as amazing as we remembered from one of our first dates. However, we didn’t remember just how delicious their food was, so it was a great second visit. Looking forward to our third!
Amazing place for an awesome dessert and nightcap! Beautiful French decor and amazing service!!! Macaroons to die for 😋
amazing place with amazing service and kitchen! i would definitely recommend it to all of you who is reading now!
Great early breakfast with my wife. She was very happy!
Still my favorite weekend breakfast/brunch in lower Manhattan. Except this past Sunday, felt very neglected and forgotten. Arrived a little early with reservations. Told table will be ready shortly and please wait in the patisserie table section which I did. It was busy, many guest walking in with/without reservations. Some accommodated some not. :15 minutes passed after my reservations I inquired with the hostess. They forgot about me. No apologies brought me to a table and that was it. Service was slow, ok big private party in the back room but still, didn’t leave a full great experience for me. Manager said nothing (he originally checked me in). No one cared-because I was a solo guest? But as usual food prep and quality excellent. I’ll still return because its Laduree and really is my favorite weekend breakfast.
It was wonderful. I will go every time I am in New York. It’s just so European with s bit of a fantasy atmosphere! The food was delicious as was the service. Ladies don’t miss it.
Was quite disappointed with my experience at laduree. The service was bad and a waitress got really snippy with one of my friends. I came in with a small group to celebrate my birthday, which I mentioned in my reservation notes. They never mentioned it and didn’t even put a candle on the dessert I ordered. This is not a cheap spot ( we all paid about $60) which would be absolutely appropriate if the service wasn’t so bad, because the atmosphere and food is great. I would recommend the 24 hour diner next to my house above laduree for a special celebration.
Cozy place to catch up with friends! :) awesome customer service staff too!
Food is mediocre. Bread taste stale. They serve a lukewarm coffee. Service is very good.
Totally different from what they have in Paris.
The French onion soup is a reason to go. The rest of our meal was not as fabulous, not even close. I had the Croque monsieur; I took one bite and it was one of the worst bites of food I’ve ever had. It tasted like fish and smelled like fish—like south street seaport used to smell. My husband ordered the scallops, which were also fishy, but he said that my sandwich tasted even fishier. The waiter did not offer to bring me another sandwich, which I thought was strange. He did offer to bring me something else, but my husband was almost done with his meal, so ate another mini roll and called it a day. Our waiter then said his shift was ending and was handing us off to another waitress, but he was still serving other tables even when we were putting on our coats to leave—very strange. IF we go back again, I’d probably order the French onion soup, grab some macaroons to go, and then head to a different restaurant in Soho for a better meal (or maybe just go to Balthazar and get their French onion soup, which is also delicious and then head to Stickwithme sweets, which isn’t too far—they have the most delectable confections I’ve ever tasted). There are so many fantastic restaurants in the area; I think business owners need to stop resting on their laurels and really create a stand-out experience every time, and serve food that is fresh (and prepared properly). Luckily, my husband and I didn’t become ill from our meal, but should you walk away from a meal that expensive and worry that you might? Nope.
They ran out of rose macarons. Come earlier to have a lot more options.
The staff isn’t super attentive.
Servers kept mixing up orders.
The desserts are nice, but don’t expect a high tea experience.
wait too long for food
Birthday breakfast was amazing!
Ambiance was great. My Fiance and I both ordered brunch; unfortunately, the table we were seated at could not accomodate the items being brought out. Certain plates had to be stacked on top of each other even though there was an open table next to us. Despite the table being small, the overall experience was still pleasant.
Pleasantly surprised by our experience and meal.
Lovely spot with attentive and polite waiters/waitresses however, the tables are really crammed together. Didn't get to enjoy my experience because two young girls sitting next to us, about 4 inches next to our table, kept staring and looking at my boyfriend and I in disgust. Weren't able to even have a conversation with one another without glancing to my right and seeing two girls staring with their lip quivering at us every time we spoke to our waiter. Took the rest of our pastries to go. Very nice staff but hard to enjoy sitting down and eating here if you don't like the table next to you being piled on top of yours and being a part of your conversation.
My daughter’s bday dinner With a few friends. service was a little slow and our table was too small. However, the food was amazing!! The crab cakes were tasty it’s a must as an appetizer. The seared scallops to die for super delicious. Mini burgers were a lol dry but tasteful. the truffled Mac and cheese was out of this world. Two thumbs up
Our daughter loves Laudree so we took her there for valentine's day. Everything was just ok...just like it usually is. I will say the Honore served were a mess! They looked like they were done very quickly. Also the salmon side was very messy and off putting!
We went to Laduree on a Sunday for brunch and it was fairly busy. Our table was served by Maria from Ukraine, she went an extra mile to make sure my partner and I enjoy the experience at Laduree and surprisingly offered us free macaroons for my partner's bday. She was knowledgeable, friendly, professional and we truly appreciate Laduree and Maria's outstanding customer service. I would definitely recommend my friends and family and everyone.
Tables to close together
I love Laduree for brunch and have being going for many years. I enjoy the food and service but I must say that the condition of the upholstered chairs in the main room and the dishes are showing the wear and taking away from the beautiful ambiance. Time to clean the chairs and replace the dishes.
Great food and aesthetic, the toilets however were absolutely disgusting and let the whole experience down massively.
amazing service, great food. great place to go to
Loved every minute of it so perfect , went for restaurant week with my coworkers we all loved it and will be returning for years to come !
Beautiful place... lovely ambience! The hog chocolate was very rich and the desserts are truly exquisite. The pastries have unique flavors! Eating just a bit is enough to fill you up and satisfy your sweet tooth. Very kind servers who explained all the types of pastries available which was helpful in choosing one. And the decor is just stunning! I really enjoyed the ambience.
It's a charming space, but the food isn't that great.
