French Onion Soup
caramelized onions, brioche, emmental cheese
This used to be our favorite go to for lunch, brunch or coffee. I've been going for years, having enjoyed Laduree Paris for eons. Our waiter could have cared less and was unhelpful almost sarcastic. The menu is pared way down. None of the things we enjoy was on the menu and they were out of things left and right. Our french fries, which came after the meal, were barley cooked. The inside restaurant smelled a bit of a bathroom. Bathrooms were untidy at best. Long time before I'll ever go back. Such a disappointment. Not sure what happened. The ball got dropped big time. Sad
Food was good, albeit expensive. The garden is STUNNING. Hostess was very kind, and the server was nice but had a very large section so his service was a little slow. I would come back for a nice brunch! I wish they allowed people to share a teapot because neither my husband nor myself could finish one by ourselves (which are $7/ea).
Beautiful place to sit and chat
Beautiful place; loved interior dining room; food was good; server was nice but it felt very rushed; a bit overpriced : $11.00 for Virgin Mary?
Nice time service was good, I love dining experiences
It was fun and super nice I had an amazing time with my girlfriend the food tasted amazing and the service was super Friendly
Terrific service, unbeatable location and festive ambiance. Lamb cooked to perfection, but fries served lukewarm. Most curious for a macaron specialist, the selection of macarons was horrible: only lavender, tea, passionfruit and orange blossom! Lavender and orange blossom tasted like soap. Passionfruit filling was like jam ... no chocolate, no pistachio, no vanilla ... very strange and ultimately disappointing. But the courtyard is still magical and we will be back.
What a lovely garden in Soho, would recommend easily except for the Croque Monsieur, which was a disappointment. Make a delicious CM in the French tradition and it would be deserving of 5 stars.
Lucky to have had a great server as the lady who greeted was super hostile. The conversation went “hi I have a table reserved for 11.15 outdoors”.
Her reply “what are you going to be ordering - a full meal or coffee and pastries?” (There were 40% of tables occupied outside).
The latter I answered.
“I do not know what you are talking about” was her reply
Oh. Um. Well the coffee and pastries please I clarified.
“You will have to go inside then” she retorted.
Oh...Open Table didn’t make that clear I said. Ok, we’ll order food then.
She gruffly walked us to the darkest table there. Of course we asked for another.
If I wasn’t entertaining a business contact I’d have walked out & if I hadn’t experienced Laduree at it’s best on other occasions, I would strike it from my list.
Please be more welcoming.
Great service and food!!
They used to have a really good chef, This one is not inspired. I think man post pandemic they might be short staffed. I am not in a hurry to return until they change the chef. the desserts were perfect. My rating would be 3 1/2, but that's not an option. Iwould maybe recommend ii to a friend, but with qualifiers. The place is so beautiful and special. The food should be as well.
Amazing experience as always. The staff was so helpful. We were late because of the Memorial Day traffic and the host still made sure we are taken care of. The food was amazing which I don’t have explain.
Decadent and delicious! Lauduree is always such a great place to eat!
Macarons are amazing!! Service okay. Food alright. I would return for Pastries and tea.
My daughter and I enjoyed brunch here. Very nice!
It was nice patio area considering it was raining
Place was dead. Also there was no ice cream in the menu for desert.
Service was fine but could be more attentive given the namesake of the restaurant.
Everything was perfect, nothing else to say.
Amazing service! Not ruched, beautiful ambiance, feels like Paris. Can bring small dogs, every one is friendly. Absolutely beautiful experience
The perfect spot to celebrate graduation with my MBA study team :)
We had a lovely lunch. The atmosphere is wonderful, the setting is beautiful, and it was relatively quiet.
Lunch with my daughter in their secret garden was lovely!
Me and my two sisters had a late brunch here at around 3pm. We were seated immediately. It was around 62 degrees and we chose outdoor seating, so we were a tad underdressed for that since their garden area doesn't have you soaked in sun. But I honestly prefer that! And the trees they have there are so beautiful and serene. We all ordered warm drinks and once the food came out we were fine! The servers were so charming and clear. The food came out quickly. We got the check when we wanted it. The pics we took came out great! Really can't gush enough how perf this place was for us. And I really appreciated how chill the other guests were as well, we weren't screaming over each other for conversation. Overall I def give it a 5/5 would come back.
Sat in courtyard for lunch to celebrate graduation. We were seated without utensils or the menu QR code. There seemed to only be one person taking orders who was extremely overwhelmed working both the full dining room and courtyard. Long gaps between ordering for drinks and food. We asked to order additional food when food was delivered that never arrived, no one checked with us after food was brought to verify order was as expected. High prices, small portions- food quality was good, prices were high.
Probably the worst service I’ve ever experienced and the worst food as well. This place really is for the ambiance, not the food or the service. Our server came to the table a total of 3 times during our 1 1/2 hour visit. The Cesar salad was bland, the chicken was plain no flavor, the chocolate French toast was burnt on the bottom so couldn’t even eat it. I would’ve told my waiter but as I said, he didn’t come to the table at all not even to give us napkins let alone ask how the food was. We actually had to flag him down for our check even though our table was completely empty & we had our credit card out. Wouldn’t recommend coming here for anything other than tea & macarons
What a charming venue. Staff was very accommodating even though there was also a private party happening at the same time. Would definitely revisit.
Food quality was ok, service was really bad. The servers didn't know howbto serve food. They didn't explain anything so i didn't know which sauce goes to what. Also tea service was bad. I ordered tea but it came very light. We complained about it and they just brought tea bag. Not so professional.
They did not notify us that the garden was closed and 50% of the menu was unavailable.
Out of a number of items for brunch - garden reserved for private event. Probably won’t return.
Address on website is wrong (indicates store front which closes early ) -we had to walk all round the block to make it just in time
Expected better service and quality; it took 40 mins for the service to take our order. The oysters where sub-par and the sea bass was ok.
I adore Ladurée. But they need to recalibrate. Their dinner menu is okayish, and their price point relatively high considering their surrounding competitors who are better foodwise. Ladurée is banking on their decor and outdoor space. I am also not fond of the 2010 host energy of can't be bothered isn't suitable for these pandemic days. The servers were the best part of the visit. I have been coming to Laduée and have been coming to it since it opened in NYC. I also go to Laduée when I travel worldwide. Ladurée, do better. A NYC host should not be more difficult than a French one in France. Get over yourself.
This is a beautiful establishment, definitely a special occasion place. A little pricey but where else can you experience Paris in New York.
Wonderful all the way around!
My family and I were so excited to return to Lauderee in New York The Staff were professional and friendly the foods presentation and taste was excellent the atmosphere open and Joyful we are looking forward to our Next reservation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👌
Long time reunion
Lobsta pasta and macaroons🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
Laduree SOHO was a great experience overall.
The food was beautiful and well worth the money you spend. You can tell that thought and care was put into it and not just thrown together. For lunch, we had the lobster pasta and the club mozzarella and tomato. Both were very delicious, especially the lobster pasta.
The drinks were amazing as well; we had the lemonade, an iced almond milk cappuccino, the le Soho, as well as the le Royale Laduree. The cappuccino was not traditional style, as there was no foam on my drink, but still very delicious.
Our server was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions despite him being extremely busy. I would not recommend coming here if you want fast service, as it is a very busy restaurant and it will take the staff some time to accommodate you so make sure your schedule isn't booked if you plan on dining here; it is best experienced relaxed. Please remember, this is not fast food and things take time. I heard other customers complaining about the wait and it's obvious they had never worked in the food industry.
After we paid the bill, we went inside to get some stuff to go. The person that helped me in the front was super sweet and was quick to help. I had gotten two croissants as well as a couple of macaroons. Another staff member was at the register and was not as nice as everyone else, which is whatever. After trying one of the croissant and macaroons they were both pretty good but not the best. I've been to other Parisian restaurants or bakeries and had much better for a better price. My only other complaint is the restrooms; they were very dirty, one door didn't close all the way and the other restroom had nothing to dry my hands so I had to use the toilet paper.
Overall this location was such a treat and a pleasure to have been there. I wish I knew our server's name because he really made my boyfriend's and my experience there a great one. Highly recommend!
I went here for my birthday during brunch and it was beyond beautiful! Our server was very nice, informed us on a few items they didn’t have at the moment, very welcoming. The food was really good, very light, not too heavy. I ordered the Lobster Pasta, Chocolate Hazelnut French Toast, Strawberry Sorbet, and the Lemonade. Everything was beautiful.
