Lacroix has a wonderful appeal to business dinners whereby conversation is easy to hear! Moreover, we found the presentation of food and very polite service a great escape from the business marketplace.

We had a wonderful time at LaCroix. From the moment we were seated and Jorge introduced himself, it was an experience as much as a Sunday brunch.
Our table was at the window, overlooking Rittenhouse Square. Even the tables not against the windows have a beautiful view.
Brunch began with Jorge giving us a tour of the different food stations, explaining different selections and specialties of the chef.
For any special occasion, a brunch at LaCroix will put it over the top.

I have never written a review for Open table before, even though I have used it to make reservations at numerous restaurants. However, Lacroix deserves an exceptional review. It was my wife's birthday (no, I will not tell you her age) and I wanted a place that was appropriate for a special celebration with her and our children (they are all adults). Lacroix is a beautiful place, with tables separated so that there is virtual privacy. The service, from being seated, to discussion of the menu items, to the service of the meal was both elegant and very professional. I would say it was perfect!
The food is exceptional. Each of the 6 courses was immaculately prepared, the flavors were beautifully blended and the presentation was lovely.
The wine list is not inexpensive but it has a large selection of very fine wines, a number of which are around $100 and worth the price.
All in all, a wonderful night . I would highly recommend Lacroix as a place for a business meal (very easy to have a private discussion or for a special occasion.

The only thing going for this place is location and decor. Our waiter was inattentive and somewhat rude. We had to ask for water and bread, while others around were getting it, despite being seated first. We were there for brunch and ordered a bloody mary. It was terrible. Its nice that they make their own mix, but they should probably try it before serving customers. It was nothing but vodka, large pepper flakes and tomato juice. I will say that the scallops had nice presentation and were not bad. Overall, the food, for the price especially, was not worth the plate it was on. It took very long to get our food and everyone in our party agreed that it was far overpriced and very poor quality. Will never come back there again.

Good spot, mid-century ambiance. Mad Men style. Excellent bar tender and the bar menu is cheaper with an excellent selection. Will be back for drinks.

Incredible chef's 5-course tasting menu with small portions of interesting combinations of flavors. Beautifully presented with extraordinary service. Exquisite kampachi course 1, lobster with grilled pineapple course 2, rabbit loin with chanterelle, pistachio, caramel apple course 3, lamb loin with sweet potato, salsify & sesame course 4 and a choice of birch cheesecake or chocolate course 5. Simply outstanding! Excellent breads as well. Fabulous experience.

Lacroix is an experience not to be missed. Lovely setting overlooking Rittenhouse Square and get a window seat if you want to watch the people and the scene. Service top-notch--not stuffy, but professional, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. Sommelier provides nice wine insights and wines by the glass are interesting. We did not buy the wine accompaniments to the food menu, but the glasses suggested by the Sommelier went marvelously with our food. Multicourse fixed price menu (with supplements of course!) and all courses that we had were spot-on. Beautifully plated, and with great flavor. I started with the "extra" course of 6 oysters (without caviar!) (three each of 2 types) and they were fresh and distinctive and full of flavor. After an initial opening of raw fish, the Lobster dish was buttery and just perfect. One doesn't often get rabbit (at least, not much in the US fine dining restaurants) and the rabbit that was served as a 3rd course, was great--enough to taste, but not so much as to spoil one's appetite for the main course. For the main course, I had duck and my wife had Lamb--and she indicated that the lamb dish was one of the best that she has had. My duck breast was succulent and perfectly done and the confit was flavorful and I wanted more!
Lovely deserts and too many petit fours/end of meal desert treats. It was a good think that we were walking for about 10 minutes after the meal.
Do not miss this place, if you can spend a few bucks in an adult setting. The background music was a nice mix of jazz and some pop vocals, etc. and played at a volume level that did not hinder conversation.

We were guests at the Rittenhouse for the weekend. We ate there on four occasions: twice for breakfast, once for dinner (this review) and once for Sunday brunch.

Executive Summary: Lacroix is magnificent

The highly trained front-of-house staff were a delight to interact with. I believe their names were Derril and Jean-Paul (doing this from memory a few days after our visit). They appeared at exactly the right moment, made pleasant bon mots, and added to what was an extraordinary meal.

Because of my wife's nut-allergy, and the fact that our pet rabbit at home would have objected if we had eaten the rabbit course (NO!!!) our Friday night server (Chris?) rearranged the standard courses so that she could select something else from the list of options. The highlight of our meal was the Long Island duck breast. Gorgeous, delicious. Crispy brown skin and beautifully tender and rare meat. Instead of the rabbit, I had the veal cheek. So tender it fell apart with the tines of a fork.

We will be going back to Philly to visit friends again, and to eat in Lacroix. My very highest recommendation!

Enjoyed a Sunday afternoon brunch to celebrate my birthday with my sister. The service was excellent as I had recalled. Great relaxing view of Rittenhouse Park. Only change I would make would be to the menu - more breakfast items and more fresh fruit especially in dessert section.

I was there for the Sunday Brunch. The overall experience was good. It has a few tables in the dining area and some tables back in the kitchen.

The thing bothers me is that in the back kitchen, foods and trash cans are so close together. I also saw a guy holding a broom walking across the kitchen foods area. Ewwwwww.....

Brunch was as good as previous times. Chef had created some very interesting seasonal bites alongside of the usual ones on the menu that are great. The service however was quite disappointing and not at all to the standards of our previous visits. There was more than one misses, including we needing to get our own silverware (after first round of eating)if we didn't want to wait another 15 min to get someones attention. Empty drink glasses and dirty plates staying on table. Having to ask for water to be filled and bunch more that space doesn't permit to comment. We are hoping this was just an isolated experience since we really enjoy the establishment and appreciate the details we had seen in the past.

The service was excellent. The food was very creative, good tasting, and beautifully presented. Our table for two was bigger than most tables for two and that was appreciated. We were given both a french salted butter and a goat's milk butter that is not served in any other restaurant in which we've eaten in the city. Also unique was a special flat bread (along with a baguette and an olive bread) that was delicious. Over all, it was a meal that we very much enjoyed.

Nice setting, liked clean tables with table cloth and high quality glassware. Food was very good, perhaps an "A-". Staff was over-attentive, there were 4 people serving us...1 good one is better. Good beer selection but no tap. Adding few local ( Yards, Victory, Dogfish) on tap would greatly enhance beverage list.

Excellent and original food that is meticulously prepared and presented, prudently considered wine pairings with enthusiastic explanations from the sommelier and flawlessly attentive service. Everyone makes you feel like the evening is all about you. Other restaurants should send their employees to dine here as their training program.
