Lacroix is always one of the best dining experiences in Philly. Tonight was no exception. Chef Doug is amazing in the kitchen. They also offer a Chefs Table that is exquisite, as well as the best Sunday brunch buffet you will ever find in the tri-state area.

"A 75$ price tag for brunch? That is absurd!"

Sure, it is costly, but the impressive array of offerings available at this buffet is worth it. Shellfish aficionado? Eastern and Western Oysters on the half-shelf are there for you. Meat Eater? The two carving stations should take care of that. Do you have sweet tooth? An entire desert room will satisfy those cravings.

Further, unlike most buffets, this was about the quality of every single offering rather than quality. If you have love brunch and have a special occasion coming up, I would highly advise.

Our experience was PHENOMENAL! Every detail was taken into notice and the evening could not have been any better. The quality of the service is superb and the cuisine was absolutely delicious. I have dined at LaCroix many times and I am never disappointed. We were celebrating a birthday, we love the detail of the Tiffany cake to end a perfect evening.
To go over the top Dan Kunz even found us at the hotel bar to give us the special homemade peanut chews which are simply the best! Asparagus was the feature of the evening and though spring is not apparent in Philly it was a bright and sunny meal. Very impressed looking forward to coming back.

Well worth the price for Easter Brunch. The buffet is exquisite. The dessert room alone was like walking in to Willy Wonka's. Wonderful array of food!

We went using a dinner for two certificate we purchased at auction at a fundraiser. The meal was spectacular. The service impeccable. Sommelier super knowledgeable, he put together a menu of our food choices and wines to take home which was great as we can order a few of our favorites for home use. The wine pairing (we splurged on the $150 pair pp) was sublime. I’ve read reviews and have seen some negative feedback here and there but I just scratch my head and cannot fathom why. This is a special place. The chefs tasting menu is $105 pp but it includes five courses, water (we had Perrier), spectacular breads with two types of butter (we brought the leftovers home for morning toast), two amuse bouche, coffee (we had macchiatos) and petit fours plus chocolates for the road. You could never in a million years make this meal at home for the same price. The courses are the perfect size - not too rich which makes five courses doable. My husband and I aren’t huge eaters; we often spilt our apps, entrees and desserts but we found this menu to be a perfect splurge without leaving us feeling like we had to walk a half marathon the next day! Every dish was beautifully presented in its own unique tableware. La Croix totally remind us of Le Bernadin in NY. Go! Close your eyes when you see the bill. Enjoy every second of the meal. It’s a special occasion place.

Honestly it was the greatest meal experience I’ve ever had. The service was outstanding. I really can’t say enough good things about the staff there. The food was incredible. We had the tasting menu and every course somehow topped the last. A couple of surprises from the chef along the way were amazing as well. I had no idea a Chestnut custard with truffle syrup could be one of the most delectable things I’ve ever tasted. It was so good that I wished it came with a mini spatula so I could get every last bit. Lacroix was a true treat. I’m so happy we found it.

Enjoyed our dinner tremendously. Service was outstanding. We had the tasting menu with all the little "extras." Loved every bite. Food is creative, tasty and visually appealing. We are not from Philly so can't compare to other establishments. Coming from Chicago a meal of this caliber would cost at least 50% more.

Waitress Lauren was pleasant and very attentive and helped to make the experience quite enjoyable. Scallop entre and side of Brussels sprouts were excellent. Cocktails were good but still can't get used to a $16.00 price tag for them. Desert selection was a little thin and only gripe was that the Apple caramel pie had insufficient apples and a very, very skimpy slice (not a scoop) of ice cream. The coffee was quite good

Also, there is no point inquiring if you are coming for a special occasion if the restaurant does nothing to acknowledge that occasion (anniversary).

To be noted is the $10.00 reduction off the charge for valet parking which makes it a little more tenable to drive into the city for the evening. While Lacroix gives you a major break on the parking, the City of Philadelphia takes away with an exorbitant alcoholic beverage tax. Hard to beat the Rittenhouse Square view and overall ambience though.

I have always liked this restaurant, primarily for its location and ambience and it did not disappoint on this visit.

Lacroix is a very upscale restaurant in a very upscale neighborhood of Philadelphia, and thus can be very expensive. However, Anne and I requested the bistro menu, which brings the price down a bit and still provides the same haute cuisine. The ambience couldn't have been more pleasant, and our server, Max, was delightful.

The service and environment was great. We didn't get to sit aside to the window because I booked late. It's a shame but that's fine. As for the dish, the black truffle with porridge was too salty. We didn't like it. Lobster and dessert were the best.

I took my mother here for brunch after stumbling on to the exceptional all you can eat spread with my wife a few months before. The service is outstanding and the food options are creative, varied and all terrific and delicious. From oysters to caviar, pâté to pork belly. Not cheap but the value is most certainly there. Skip the eggs and bacon and head for the raw bar.

The staff gave such attention to my friend who is a vegetarian. They pulled out all the stops- besides the specially created menu just for her, they printed it for her as a keepsake. Usually a tasting menu leaves you feeling stuffed, but I felt the portions were perfect- others might be hungry though. The food was innovative and delicious. It's elegant and lovely. And my box of petit fours and peanut chews to take home was a nice touch.

Brunch at Lacroix is truly a special experience. The food is set up buffet style and you have the pick of traditional brunch items as well as some gourmet delights (we especially enjoyed the bao bun sliders!) If you would prefer an omelet or other egg dishes made to order you can ask your server. We enjoyed everything we tried. I highly recommend saving room for dessert.

What especially impressed us is that when they called to confirm our reservation they asked about allergies and when we arrived today we were given a menu with the items that I am allergic to highlighted. The service throughout the rest of the meal was spectacular--we are planning our return!

What a great brunch!
