Laboratorio Kitchen offers guests a modern atmosphere paired with seasonal food and tender service. Chef/Owner James DeSisto has a seasonal a la carte menu featuring fresh seafood, pasta, steaks, and appetizers. In addition there is a small plates menu available (Tuesday thru Thursday) and daily specials every night. Chef DeSisto also has gluten free and vegan options for guests as well. Keep in mind we are a BYOB restaurant so don't forget the wine.

Excellent food and service. The waiter was very nice. We forgot a bottle of wine and the waiter let us know that we could call the local store and it would be delivered to our table. The wine was delivered quickly and we were able to enjoy it with our dinner. Specials were also delicious.
The portions were large. The pasta was al dente and the meatball flavorful. The scallops were perfectly cooked with sumptuous butternut squash. The crostini with amazing blue cheese and figs were delicious and the burrato with a hint of truffle oil and olives were also delicious. The dessert menu as limited but my friend and I were too full to try. I would highly recommend this place Alex took very good care of us checking on us periodically this is a must try and go back again restaurant!

Although a Touch loud due to hard walls and a rectangular room, we were able to enjoy the meal and converse.
The appetizers and main entry were exquisitely prepared. The cost was a bit higher than average, but the portions were so large that we both brought back half our meal! I had the lobster special and my wife had scallops

Laboratorio was recommended by a friend. For as many times as I have driven down Bloomfield avenue, I never noticed it. Boy, are we sorry. What a great restaurant. The food was excellent, and the service was top notch. We had the trout and the sole. Excellent! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes.
This is a special place. The menu was so filled with great offerings that it made choices difficult. The food was well-prepared and the quality of the ingredients was immediately obvious. All items ordered were outstanding.
The restaurant has a relationship with a local wine shop which makes it possible to get a great bottle of wine for what one might commonly pay for a glass of wine elsewhere.
It is well worth the trip!
MY WIFE AND I HAD DINED THERE ONCE BEFORE WHEN IT FIRST OPENED. WE DECIDED TO TRY IT AGAIN AND IT TURNED OUT BE BE A REAL TREAT. THE RAVIOLI PASTA APPETIZER WAS GREAT. WE BOTH GOT THE TROUT AND IT WAS DONE PERFECT. GREAT FLAVOR AND VERY FRESH. THE PEAR TART WAS A GREAT WAY TO FINISH OFF A TERRIFIC MEAL THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. I DEFINITELY WOULD REFER THIS TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS A NICE NIGHT OUT. LOUIS C
My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday. It was very good, with excellent food and service, and a nice atmosphere. I had the lamb chops, which were perfectly cooked, and he had the risotto, always a go-to for him, and it made him happy. Highly recommend!
I made reservations for 6:30 and our party of 4 got there early. They sat us down instantly and the service was excellent. The couple we were with had the Steak Au Poivre. The portion was hugh and the steak was delicious. Tender and Tasty. My husband had the Trout which is said was also delicious. I had the lamb chops and it was a healthy portion. They were tender and delicious as well. Will be going back. This is a BYOB and definitely worth trying.
This restaurant went way beyond expectations!! Loved the food and service. we had the fish special and a crostini special both were to die for OMG!!! My wife complains about something at every restaurant we have been to, except this one!!! Great job, we will be back
great service by Alex and team.. food though was average. Too much salt on everything. Chicken was slightly overcooked and trout was as well. Potatoes were too salty. This was after we said go easy on salt.. had a feeling... the salad and cristini were good.. actually took the figs and cheese and put it on the salad. Overall Overpriced for what we got and too many other options in the area to go back again.
Heard very good things about this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Servers were friendly and had a good knowledge of the menu. Food was delicious and presentation was aesthetically pleasing. we were not rushed, which is always a plus!I will definitely be going back
