Labebe Ratings and Reviews
Loved the ambiance and the service was impeccable! The mussels and grape leaves for appetizers and main dishes, such as the shrimp kebab and the broiled seafood combo were delicious! We were able to enjoy our meal and were not rushed. Will definitely be returning!
The food was wonderful! I loved everything, including the way the food was seasoned. I had lentil soup, filet mignon (which was cooked perfectly), fig gelato and chocolate lava cake. They sang us happy birthday for the special occasion and took pictures of our family. The decorations are modern and beautiful. The service was very professional. I would highly recommend it!
Been waiting awhile to try this restaurant because I wasn't sure I would like the cuisine. I was mistaken. Everything in this restaurant was excellent. We were there with our daughter-in-law who is vegetarian and she loved the menu. She said this is her new. "Go to" place to eat. We really enjoyed the evening. The tables were not on top of one another which was great
Met a friend for lunch and it was a nice, quiet spot. The food and service were both terrific, and the menu had many choices that would please anyone. If I lived closer, I would definitely return. It was most enjoyable, and the warm welcome and service enhanced the experience.
We've been here several times and always enjoyed it. I made reservations for 4 of us noting that it was the 51st and 57th anniversary of the couples. I didn't expect anything, thought a greeting of "Happy Anniversary, glad you chose to spend it with us' would have been nice. All we got was 'here's your table'. There were only 2 tables occupied: 1 couple and a table of 6 with 3 kids. We were seated next to the table with kids. They were VERY noisy. (This is a large restaurant so a lot of space was available) We ordered. Our order came. One entree was totally wrong and had to be redone - a wait. My fish was good but the vegetables were either from the day before or left to cook all day. They were mushy, colorless and tasteless. My husband's lamb kabob's were tasty but tough. Our guests didn't comment on theirs. The only other couple left. The noisy party left and we were finishing up. The lights were turned onto full bright and everyone sort of stared at us until we left. Because one of our orders was wrong, it wasn't our fault that we weren't done "soon enough". I'm afraid it will be a LONG time before we consider returning.
I really, REALLY enjoyed my meal here. Best part was probably the very tasty food and the relative quiet we enjoyed while eating, probably because we came early and it was a nice summer evening, which draws a lot of business away to the seashore. Service was TOO good; seemed every third time I was speaking to my dinner partner there was a waiter hovering checking if all was good. They need to work on the timing of table visits, as it got annoying.
The servers were very accommodating. Portions were generous. Good selection of hot and cold appetizers, salads and entrees. We were too stuffed for dessert after sharing a hot and cold appetizer and salad before the entrees. The duck confit appetizer was absolutely delicious - would recommend trying it.
I was not crazy about the lamb shish kabob as the lamb was somewhat gamey; the waitress offered immediately to bring something else and adjusted the bill. I enjoyed the chicken kabob instead of the lamb. My friends had a seafood risotto dish and the lamb shank which they both enjoyed.
The ambiance is quite pleasant and there was plenty of parking. We did have a reservation for Saturday night and had no issues being seated immediately upon arrival. I would recommend trying Labebe if you have not been here before.
