Terrible! Philomena, the manager and wife of the owner, was extremely rude and disrespectful of us as customers. We had an issue with one of the appetizers - the portion was incredibly small for the much higher than average price for this dish. When we said something to Philomena about this, she essentially told us that's what you get so shove it. While we've enjoyed dining at La Volpe over the years, we will not return.

I think $32/$34 for a small bowl of pasta with 3 shrimp and a few mussels and clams is expensive. The menu description was pretty awesome and for the price they charge, the portion of seafood and preparation should have been more in line with the price of the entree.

The food and service was great however the menu on open table is not accurate. When we showed up. Many of the items we wanted were not on the menu. Open table needs to make sure that they have an accurate menu for the restaurants.

For years we have enjoyed the pizza and other delicacies from Anton's, but never found the chance to dine with La Volpe. As not much of a surprise, the food at La Volpe was outstanding. Each dish portrayed the true essence of Italian cooking. I almost felt as though we had gone to a relatives house for dinner. The atmosphere also added to the entire experience along with an attentive and cordial staff. If you have ever been to southern Italy or Sicily you'd be right at home. Great Italian food, respectful pricing and the warmth of familiarity. Il meglio del meglio

La Volpe is in our standard rotation of restaurants for date night. The staff are extremely accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. The food is outstanding! We feel like a part of the family whenever we are there. We are so lucky to have such a fabulous restaurant in Center Moriches.
