Waited over 2 hours to get our meals. Disappointing service

Loved their food, our waiters were superb, but such a disrespectful attitude coming from the receptionist there and we got out table more than half an hour later.

Awesome experience! Whilst we had to wait for our table the maitre d'hote Alex took care of us in an exquisite way. He offered us two glasses of champagne and took care of our drink selection making us discover new, uncommon wines. I would recommend this restaurant (and Alex) anytime!

If you enjoy authentic French Bistro food and ambience, you cannot go wrong with La Voile; the staff is professional and attentive without being intrusive (and frequently French). It is a lovely place to relax and enjoy with friends/family, especially the outdoor seating (when weather permits).

Cozy and relaxed bistro with warm ambiance, nice bar area and multiple dining rooms. Initial service a bit too relaxed though attentiveness improved as evening progressed. Recommend the pre fixe menu as it presents a nice variety of selections. The foie gras, mussels, duck and creme brûlée were all quite good. A very positive first visit which will be followed by a second soon!

Fine food; attentive wait staff. Narrow, short steps to enter/exit; not certain how wheel chair would enter easily. Nice find for those on vacation (like us).

La Voile always hits the spot. The chicken for two is my favorite and it is big enough for four. The service is authentic and lots of excellent wine choices. Sitting outside if weather permits is not to be missed but I find it super cozy and comfy inside.

We had a nice evening and some very good wine. It was fun to speak French and felt like an authentic French Bistro tucked into Newbury Street. Served good classic French food including Fois Gras and Sole Meuniere. A little expensive to make it an everyday restaurant but certainly nice to have an old standby in the neighborhood.

We went to La Voile on Easter Sunday with our two teenage kids. Absolutely loved the ambiance. Super cozy, really felt like we were in France. Food was amazing. The 4 cheese appetizer may have been our favorite. The kids devoured It. Service was exceptional and all of our waiters all spoke french. The real deal!

Came to Boston to take son out for Easter dinner. Arrived on time for 5 pm reservation and hosts seemed s little surprised and not ready. Once seated, staff was friendly and offered helpful suggestions. Everything food wise was on point, well prepared and very tasty. I enjoyed the whole experience and will return.

The waiter doesn't do a good job. Furthermore, he made several mistakes on the bill without saying sorry at all. Probably he's in a bad condition or having a bad mood in life recently. Hope he'll be getting better! The food in the restaurant is AWEsome though, have to say.

Appetizers were pretty good but the entrees were not. We ordered beef shoulder and duck. The meat had a weird smell and food wasn't even warm. I would not recommend this place.

Croque Monsieur was disappointing. It seemed to be a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. I was expecting something more decadent. This was a Dine Out lunch. Atmosphere and other courses and meals were great.

The Dine Out Boston menu is ok. Appetizer soup is ok but too flat, no much flavor, the foie gras is not good, the quality of the liver must be bad, there are so many fat. The Duck entree is good but too sweet, the sea bass is bad, there are bones, and it tastes bad. Desserts are better than expected.

A very good French restaurant on boston. I had a really great carrots soup and la canerd. But a very small problem: on the menu, the side of le canard is fingerling potato and mushroom, but I only find mushed carrots and duck breast in my dish. So it's more like a carrots dinner for me. A little bit disappointed and upset for me.

A great deal at lunch. The staff manages a perfect combination of friendly and formal. Even on the prix fixe menu they accommodated a dietary restriction without missing a beat.

I can only speak on the basis of one lunch on a quiet day with a pending snow storm. The dining room and bar were cozy, warm, and quiet. We had the soup of the day (carrot); a quiche lorraine with salad; a glass of wine; and coffee or tea. Very simple, classic, and tasty. The portions were more French than American - that is, just right, not super-sized. And the service was attentive without being obtrusive. Altogether a pleasant experience.
