We had an excellent meal. We ordered Aux Champignons and Le Risotto, Le Saumon and Le Filet de Boeuf, and Le Fondant au Chocolate. Le Fondant au Chocolate was average, but everything else was delicious and exceeded expectations. The service was also excellent. Overall, would highly recommend.
Amazing, authentic, charming, delicious….one of the best I’ve been to outside of France.
Fantastic experience all around, food and service are excellent!!
La Voile is my new favorite restaurant. The service was perfect—attentive and unrushed. The food was exquisitely prepared, especially the fish dishes. It feels like Paris here in Boston. Outstanding.
Has the fixed price menu. Was very good. Would eat here again.
Excellent night at La Voile. Please do something about your bathrooms though. They really were disgusting.
An outstanding gem of a restaurant, among our favorites in the city. Has the feel of an authentic bistro from the moment you walk in. The staff are attentive, friendly and genuine. Food is traditional bistro fare, prepared with care and perfection. Value for the quality of the food is high. While it does attract a tourist segment being on Newbury, there are a lot of regulars on a Saturday night, which gives the place a rich, warm feel. Will continue to come back again and again.
Classic french/continental. Very busy Saturday night. Escargots and endive salad were both great tenderloin lacked flavor. Wonderful wine list
The service was wonderful and they took into account it was our anniversary, which was very lovely
Another outstanding meal at La Voile. I rarely order chicken when dining out, but decided to have La Volaille - it was fabulous. Service was very attentive as well.
Excellent meal, great service
Meeting up with an old friend! It was special, delicious and has started a monthly gathering.
Pricey but worth it!!! Truly French dining from the wine to dessert. Party of 5 and all were wowed. Outstanding dining experience!!! Will come each time we’re in Boston. Delicious French!!! Our compliments to the chefs and staff. Well done!
Great food and wonderful staff. We will definitely be back!
From a warm greeting when we arrived, to the exceptional service from Denis
La Voile is always a memorable experience and we will return
New Year Celebration
Good Covid precautions!!
Very knowledgeable waiter and outstanding service as crazy busy as they were.
My husband and I both felt we had a gourmet dinner!!!!
Dined for New Year’s Eve and it was amazing. The service was exceptional and the food was outstanding. The escargot was out of this world. A must while in the area!
As always, we loved it. Ate early because we brought our 4-yr old grandson. The staff could not have been nicer to him. We all had a wonderful NYE.
We moved to the Back Bay in the last year and have been wanting to try this place for a while, but something else always came up. Well, we went last night and wow! Great!
Bustling French bistro with great food, great service and really reasonable prices. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in Boston. We will be back, probably many times.
Great food & service and a wonderful and relaxing ambiance.
The service was sublime as was the food, the place by itself is lovely and the staff even more! It’s a great place to go with friends and/or family!
Excellent service and food
Excellent food with great service and not too expensive for French restaurant.
La Voile never disappoints! Despite all of the challenges in the restaurant business these days, La Voile has managed to keep its reputation as a stellar dining experience.
I feel the items I had were good tasting, could have been better. Decor is pleasing, service was good, and prices weren't bad. Would go again to try some different items. Don't think there was music, that would help the ambiance.
The Endive Salad was more a Frisee Salad with Three Leaves of Endive. And the Croque Monsieur was cold - cheese not well melted or crusty like it should be - no color to it as it didn't look like it had been in a broiler. We have enjoyed the restaurant in the past... and will keep an open mind to trying again in the future.
Nice, happy, and relaxed atmosphere with great food, especially the beer!
Very enjoyable meal in a classic French bistro style restaurant.
We had an excellent experience here on Christmas. The food is amazing, and the staff is fantastic. (We love that almost everyone seems to be an expat). We appreciated the plexi dividers between close tables.
We had the duck, the sea bass and soups to start. We were stuffed without feeling like the portions were wasteful. We ordered wine by the glass, and our server (a great waitress who hails from Colombia) kindly offered us a couple to sample based on our preferences.
An amazing Christmas Day dinner! Our waitress couldn’t have been more attentive and kind. Genuinely kind. Best waitress we’ve had in many years. And the food was delicious! Best mussels I’ve ever had. Plump and sweet and so fresh. Smoked salmon was the real deal. Not too salty with that lovely, natural fish oil. Perfection. And we are gluten free and they toasted some really wonderful gluten free bread for us. It made for a delicious and memorable Christmas dinner. Thank you so much!
Wonderful restaurant with very good staff.
Menu is eclectic with a slant to classical French cuisine.
Third time we’ve dined there.
We ate at Madeline's on Christmas. The servers were accommodating, the service was great, and the food was some of the best we ever had. We were all very happy with the experience.
The only issue I had was that I ordered a screw drive as a drink. The drink only filled half of the glass. Very disappointing, I mean at least 8 ozs with ice. Half a glass makes me wonder who was making the drinks
As if you walked into a cafe in Paris, warm and inviting. Staff round out the experience and made it perfect.
Christmas Eve dinner. Classic French bistro. One of our favorites. Ile Flottante could be the best dessert we have ever had. Eat here every time in Boston.
Tout était délicieux et le service était super rapide, rien à dire de mauvais!
Food was ok but disappointing. If this is one of Bostons best French restaurants then best not to try the others.
Service was attentive
great French bistro with genuine ambience. Food was excellent, waiters European like in service. Defiinely would recommend
Overall it was good but not great like it has been before. Menu was smaller the price was little higher and the service was not like before. This was our favorite and go to restaurant before but it’s time to look else where .
