This is our family’s favorite restaurant. The food is consistently good and the atmosphere is classic French bistro. Service is always excellent
We have dined here several times and each has been superb.
My wife has a hearing loss so they gave us the back room. That was so considerate when I explained the issue.
Great food, wine and service! I love this place!
Superb authentic French cuisine. Gracious service
We have eaten both inside and out on the patio and enjoyed both. We had such a spectacular meal the first time we returned within a month. The foie gras is amazing as are the beef dishes and trout. Desserts sublime, wonderful wine list. We will be back and highly recommend it.
We sat outside and had a lovely lunch. The food at LaVoile was excellent, as always. Service was terrific. It is always my first choice when I think about going out to eat in the Back Bay.
La Voile is our favorite French restaurant in Boston ... we love patio dining here and felt very safe
Most authentic french bistro in Boston; great food and service,
Tasty French cuisine. Ambiance and service excellent.
We were seated inside where it has been carefully rearranged to allow distancing but not loose its coziness. La Voile is classic French food and is always reliable and delicious The service was friendly and graceful and the plates were presented beautifully . We also enjoyed choosing from their exceptional wine list with the expert aide of Alexandre. Thank you for an experience that put a smile on my face.
Delicious food and excellent service. What more could we want?
We usually really enjoy this restaurant- the food, service, ambiance. This evening it was my birthday dinner. We had our family including our 1 year old granddaughter. The service was extremely slow. We had to get up to get a waiter for drinks and to order. Then the food came out slowly. My sole was not as good as usual and it was swimming in butter and salt. Usually there is a little sauce not a bowl of it. I brought it to the attention of the maitre d and he brushed it off. I wanted a special dinner. It was not.
The BEST place to dine outside. Seating with distance is SUPERB. the team as usual are fantastic the food continues to excel. The wine list and recommended pairings can’t be beat.
Thank you to the whole team for creating the only restaurant I feel safe in! Much love
Great food and service. The outside sitting area is cool
Classic French with a seafaring motif, La Voile provided Intimate and friendly service. Contactless menu and following public health protocols. Food order arrived quickly and plated hot from the pan. Pan seared filet with four gras on a carrot purée with green peas was amazing. Pan seared salmon with charon sauce done to perfection. Wine list is interesting though a little pricey even by restaurant markup standards. Many dessert selections made on premises. Would definitely go back.
Service is awesome! Élan is the best! She will make you feel so special!
We were transported, albeit briefly, to Paris. The food, service, and ambiance were merveilleux!
My mom was visiting Boston and we took her here. So delicious! Sit outside for great views and a beautiful atmosphere.
Once again, a great dining experience.
Just a favorite place to sit and chat with girlfriends! Yummy!
We always enjoy dinner out at La Voile, the restaurant was a bit too overwhelmed last night as it took over 15 minutes for anyone to come take our order (has to ask 3 times for a waiter)...then my husband has to pour our first glass of wine. Love to see the restaurant doing so well but you may want to hire more wait staff.
Lovely in every way!
This was our first visit. Now that I know more about the restaurant our next visit will be even better. The food was great.
Steak au poivre was amazing as was the seared foi gras.. service, weather all superb
I love this restaurant. Food was amazing. Our server & the team were terrific. The manager gave us VIP treatment too. High recommendations!
We always enjoy our meals at La Voile and this was not exception. We sat outside on the patio and were a bit disappointed the tables were bare - I guess a concession to Covid. The food and the waitstaff were great!
Great French restaurant. Excellent service. Great place for date night.
We always enjoy our visit to La Voile. It is a perfect destination for a special event or date night and is good for a couple or small group.
LaVoile is my favorite restaurant in the Back Bay, and eating outside in this great summer weather makes it even better. The food is excellent, the service is perfect and the ambiance is excellent, whether you are looking for lunch or dinner. We have been here with friends for a leisurely meal, for a celebration dinner and also for business lunch meetings. It is always my first choice!
Excellent service! Waitress was very helpful during the wine bottle selection since there are so many to choose from! The foie gras was delicious along with the trout and creme brûlée for dessert. We also decided to go with a cheese plate which paired well with a glass of port. Our go-to restaurant when we are in the area. Also love the set-up of the outdoor dining especially during these crazy times!
Lovely to be able to eat outdoors on the patio on Newbury St. If you like French food and good service this is an excellent choice,
As always excellent. Hope they can find a way to continue thru the winter as they are or better. It really is a night in Paris.
La Voile is great for celebrating a memorable event. The menu options are good. Although a particular dish was not available, I found tasty substitutions - creme brulee, foie gras, and les moules. I enjoyed them in that order. Why not? Have your dessert first! The wine list is very good. But do get champagne instead. Another treat.
The ambience was classically French with iconic black and white photos on the walls, stencils of wine grapes, long-neck glass bottles for tap water, and unforgettable music. They played a favourite, Michel Sardou. Oh my! I've only felt this potent allure of France the last time I was in Provence. No scent of lavender. Perhaps it would have been much.
Service could have been better. I had a very young waiter, pleasant but a little inexperienced.
Overall, La Voile made for a delightful evening out to indulge only as my French self can. I have dined at La Voile before. I'll go again. Soon.
We had a very enjoyable meal with excellent service. My husband had the steak and I had the duck breast. The sauce on the duck breast was outstanding as was the peppercorn sauce on the steak. We shared an excellent creme brûlée. I would certainly return again
The food wasn’t as good as last time I visit. The dessert was a disappointment.
Delicious food, amazing server. David is a delight. Thank you
Ambiance and food was great. Drinks were really strong. Food took a long while to come out though.
One of my favorite places to eat. Consistently warm and welcoming with pleasant atmosphere and good food.
As usual, it didn't dissapoint. The salmon was perfection!
Food was excellent and eating outside was very enjoyable.
