The pasta special was tasteless, and the veal was old and it's sauce was sugary. But it was cheap.
Waitstaff was wonderful. Very friendly, without being over baring. Food was exceptional! Superb wine list. Great experience!
This was fabulous. Much of the pasta is made on site and they make their own limoncello. Wait staff is friendly but professional.
Great food and service. Neighborhood gem!
Found La Vita E Bella while out walking on my lunch one day. A friend and I decided to try it. What a find! Great food, and a cozy atmosphere. The Crepe with garlicky sauce was delicious. My friend had the special of the day which was a bow tie pasta with white wine and shrimp. She loved it! Can't wait to go back.
We had a very nice dinner. We told our waiter that we were starving and he suggested that he could accelerate the pace. Bread and salads came out promptly. The caesar salad dressing was tangy and very good. The Pasta special and lasagna were full of flavor and exactly what we needed. Wine list was good.
Met a client here for a lunch meeting. The location and service were amazing. The gnocchi was spectacular. The addition of mozzarella balls to the gnocchi was inspired.
The food was ok, service not so good. Will be awhile before I go back.
Pastas were out of this world!! Great ambience and service. We loved it!
The food was excellent and the service was as well. The prices are reasonable for a downtown restaurant, and it's got a nice ambience. Highly recommend La Vita E Bella.
I have always loved the food here. Small, neighborhood place in the middle of the block.
We love this place. Service is always great - Bruce was fantastic this visit. Food is creative and delicious.
Wonderful food and excellent service! This restaurant is great!
While the food and service were great, clearly the restaurant was focused on turning tables as fast as they could instead of offering a relaxed experience . Being Valentine’s Day, I wanted to have a great and relaxed dinner. But I felt like being pushed through a mass production factory. We had cocktails, appetizers, main course and dessert all in 55 minutes. Way too rushed!
And in fact, this meant less money for the restaurant. We were planning on having our cocktails and then getting a wine bottle. Things moved so fast, that cocktails lasted until well into the main course. So it didn’t make sense to ask for the wine anymore.
It was great. Our server, Jordan, treated us well. Girlfriend said her Salmon pasta was a bit bland.
Authentic Italian cuisine. Taste like mama's.
The food was great, well prepared and presented. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive, without being burdensome. That was nice for a date night. Dessert and espresso hit the spot.
Fantastic food, great service.
Pasta was cooked the way we like it. Al dente!
The Carbonara was one of the best!
Wanted a good Italian meal and was not disappointed in the meal. Would go back again.
We were looking for good Italian and found it at La Vita E Bella. The food was scrumptious. The wine they recommended was delicious. The servers were attentive and we had a great time.
From the time we arrived to the time we left the servers were attentive and engaging . The food was perfect and every person in our party was very happy with the evening. The birthday party was one the best we have ever had at a restaurant in many years. Coming from an Italian family out of NY city we were so impressed with the meals and the presentation.
Ok I’m italian and let me tell you , they make one of the best Tagliatella in the U.S.A
MOLTO BUONA !
Amazing food and great service. Totally authentic Italian. Highly recommend
Completely uncomfortable place, get's smokey from cooking, eyes start burning (saw 2 people using visine) then they open the door so you can sit and enjoy freezing your butt off while eating dinner. Bread was hard as a rock. Food was ok.
Our server was amazing! The food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect!
The food is consistently delicious here, and they always have wonderful specials. It's much more truly "Italian" than many local places. The only thing I could say I dislike is the stupid TV playing a football game over the bar area during dinner. I prefer when they have the accordion player, and feel like during dinner on a weekend, the TV should be off.
My husband and I went for a date night here. We reserved in advance and had no idea with our reservation. Our server was a great guy and let us have our space, but was available when we needed anything. The restaurant itself is really cute and is definitely a great spot to grab wine or dinner with a friend, or a date. The food itself wasn't anything to write home about, but it was okay overall. Don't think I'd necessarily go back for the food specifically, but I'd definitely go back fora glad of wine and an app.
I love this restaurant so much! I’ve lived in Seattle for 20 years now, and this is probably the best Italian I’ve ever had (sorry mom). I can’t believe I’ve never been here before this, and I’m sure I will be going back again.
I had the fettuccine tartufo, my wife had a spaghetti di mare dish. Both were excellent. Seriously, it’s hard to make Italian food that isn’t too sweet, too salty, too “thin”. La Vita E Bella’s offerings are delicious, well proportioned, and left me with a satisfied feeling for the rest of the night.
The service was also excellent. Prompt, friendly without being cloying, warm.
If you want real Italian food in a warm, comfortable and authentic environment, do yourself a favor and eat here.
Out of 2 salads that we tried to order. The lettuce had frozen.
Terrific food! The owner was warm and personable!
Nice people and decent food, but after telling the server about an allergy I was served two plates of food with the one thing in the world I'm allergic to. That ingredient was not listed on the ingredients of either item on the menu and the server said nothing when we ordered. Underwhelmed by the response thereafter. The rest of the experience was fine, but not amazing food or service.
We were a large party of 10 on a Sunday evening. Food was excellent, arriving very hot so obviously did not 'sit' any length of time even though there were 10 orders that needed to be delivered simultaneously. The wait staff was outstanding. It was just an overall excellent experience and I would highly recommend La Vita Bella.
Food was fresh and flavorful, it was like being back in Italy. The bruschetta was perfect and the olive oil was delicious, which came from the farm of the brother of the owner in Italy. The pasta was not too heavy but hearty; my mother-in-law said the lasagna was the best she's ever had, and she's had a lot.
Great service, nice ambiance. I would definitely go back again.
Very nice, warm atmosphere. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the bartender make our appetizers in front of us. Very flavorful (caprese) and good portions.
Love this neighborhood gem! We are regulars, always tasting the specials of the night, though the regular menu has many favorites :-) In fact, the lasagna is fabulous!!!
Evening was great! Food was terrific, as always. Wine good. It was a little noisy in the back with several large tables but it was Friday. My guest this night was an attorney from Alaska. Every guest I have taken there, and there have been a lot, just loves the food, wine and usually the ambiance.
La Vita e Bella is one of our favorite neighborhood spots. Wonderful Italian food and wine, quiet, with relaxed service. We have visited twice this week!
We were staying at a downtown hotel as we were attending the Coldplay concert. Wanted something within walking distance of the hotel - just about 1 mile. Excellent atmosphere, service and nice value priced wine list. Would definitely go back.
The food was good although the chef would not allow me to substitute cream sauce for meat sauce which to me is not a major request. I'm lactose intolerant so that was my reason but he wouldn't budge so I ordered the rigatoni. It was good. My only concern is that OK rating on the front window which apparently reflects how clean the kitchen is kept. We didn't realize until afterwards and would have chosen a different place based on that review.
Service was ok because they forgot my friend's order so we had to wait to eat until she got her food. It was a quiet night so not sure why 4 peoples orders couldn't come out at the same time.
I'd eat there again if the restaurant rating increased from OK to Excellent.
