La Vita E Bella
Not your typical upscale beautiful restaurant, but the ambience was great, the food was terrific, and the service by the owner, who was also our waiter, was excellent. We especially enjoyed the halibut, which was perfectly cooked and the serving was generous. The soup with Italian sausage was fantastic.
Great place will be back!
go to place for great Italian food and close to home
We stumbled onto this place a few months ago looking for something new. The cuisine is very authentic, defiantly NOT another spaghetti house. The staff is very helpful in navigating the menu and are always willing to go off the page to make something special. I have recommended this establishment to several friends who all have been very impressed.
We celebrate all of our birthdays here ( 5 of us). The last time we came in February the service was bad. This time was just as bad. We had the same waiter and he was non existent. He was texting behind the bar non stop both times ( February and last night). He never asked if we wanted another glass of wine. I actually had to go up to the bar to ask for one. He was eating behind the bar and generally didn’t give a crap about service. I’m pretty sure he heard me comment about how he hadn’t even checked to see if we were enjoying our meal and only then did he ask how are meals were. The other gentleman working was great. We tipped accordingly and decided it is time to find a new place for our birthday dinners. I’m in restaurant business and this is not acceptable. See you later La Vita Bella.
Service was excellent. Food was served hot and very tasty. Ministrone Soup was mild but tasty...Caesar salad very fresh and enough for two or three people. Would recommend,
The ambiance was perfectly romantic.....the service was exceptional!!... and the food....Omgosh so... Italy... my favorite so far is the Cesar salad.... the classic bruschetta...and the chicken parmigiana...oh !!! And the olive oil!!!!...it’s crazy good!!!
I had a wonderful time at dinner on Saturday! I have been to this restaurant before, so when my friend said he wanted some great authentic Italian food, I immediately thought of you guys. The servers here are always very attentive and polite. The food is unbelievably delicious. The ambiance is like no other place in Seattle.
Sorry for the lengthy read, but they deserve it. Will definitely be back!
We love coming to La Vita Bella for family special occasions. They never disappoint in food and value. It's cozy and the staff is very friendly.
Primary waiter was rude, careless, and obviously didn’t want to be there. His assistant was great. DON’T TAKE A GROUP. The main waiter has apparently never seen a table over 8 large.
The ambiance was very comfortable and cozy. The food was great and our wait staff was amazing!
You are made to feel welcomed from the moment you walk in the door. Enjoyed ambiance and meal. Not disappointed.
I was just very cold, as because of the pizza ovens and smoke they kept the door open, and I was cold, it is winter
A gem of a restaurant in Belltown! Excellent pasta, cooked with fresh ingredients. Reasonably priced for the excellent quality. Great service.
So excited to find this hidden gem on our weekend visit to Seattle. Owner was warm & welcoming & food was awesome. Carbonara was especially amazing!
We have been dining at LaVita E Bella for 19 years! It is as good as ever with the waitstaff being very responsive and caring. La Vita is a great neighbor hood treasure!
We were looking for a great authentic neighborhood Italian restaurant and we found it. Reasonably priced delicious Italian food with a great staff. It was our first visit and will not be the last!
We had a large group - 14 total. Service was attentive and prompt and food was good - lots of pasta and pizza choices and the prices were very reasonable. Gorgonzola pizza was delicious. Cozy, neighborhood feel. Will definitely go back when we need decent food at a reasonable price.
Excellent Italian food. Friendly staff. Very comfortable - a little cool with the doors open.
Service was very nice; everyone treated us with respect.
The bread offered in the beginning was not as good as some other Itallian restaurants - pretty dry and simple. I’ve seen a couple reviews that have said the same thing.
The pasta with the clams, mussels, and shrimp was a bit dry as as well.
The fettuccine with mushrooms and sausage was quite tasty. And the tiramisu was delicious!
The food was absolutely delicious. Despite having a larger (party of 9) group, the restaurant was still able to accommodate us. Next time I wouldn't go with as many people, but will 100% return in the near future.
Nice cozy Italian restaurant with very authentic tasting dishes. The service is very nice and homely. The pricing is a steal for such an excellent tasty experience. Highly recommend.
Amazing, authentic Italian food. You're treated like family as soon as you walk in the door. Great selection of wine and Italian dishes. Priced very reasonably considering the portions given. Reservations highly recommended as they are busy. Perfect Christmas dinner we had!
Good experience, have had a better pizza, but nice stop by and we hungry, Christmas Day dinner and not many restaurants open just thankful to get a seat at any restaurant
Our reservation was for Christmas Day, early evening. The food was excellent but the atmosphere was lacking. The wait staff seemed stressed and overworked. The restaurant was hot so both front doors were left open. Our table was by an open door with a fan blowing on us. Not an optimal dining experience.
The best bruschetta!
I booked a table for Christmas Day after a mad search for an open restaurant- so glad I did! The restaurant was charming, service was fast and helpful, and the food was delicious.
A group of friends got together. Enjoyed nice food, the music and other people are just quiet enough that we can hear and loud enough that we don’t feel we can’t talk. And well rounded non invasive service. A very comfortable dining experience.
Have always enjoyed this restaurant. This time was no exception
Excellent food and service. Gnocchi is outstanding!
We have returned to La Vita Bella for the Seattle half marathon weekend. We were even more impressed than the last gathering. Our server Chris knocked it out of the park on a very busy evening. The food is authentic and amazing.
Service was superb and food was phenomenal. Definitely will be sharing this experience with friends and family.
we had a table of 13 for lunch. the service was fantastic. the bread was amazing. food came quick and was really filling. good process for italian food.
Excellent food, friendly staff. Authentic Italian food in the Pacific Northwest.
It had been awhile since we dined here and so happy that it is still outstanding! Great food, great service, fun time. We will keep this place in mind more often.
Waiter didnt know they were out of soup for the day ( 6:30). Opted for minestrone. Large chunks of over cooked veggies. Plain broth - no flavor. No beans or pasta.
My friends Ceaser salad was excellent.
My dinner with sausage and mushrooms over pasta was extremely greasy.
My friend had lasagne which was excellent.
Dead rose on table. Other tables had either dead or nice roses.
Would I recommend this place? Based on my food no. Based on my friends food, yes.
What happened? New management? We dine here every time we’re in Seattle and usually look forward to our next visit. On this occasion we made an 8:15 reservation asking specifically for the patio. Upon our arrival we were told that the patio was closed, yet there were other diners seated who had yet to receive their entrees. We conceded and sat inside. The food wasn’t really as tasty as we’ve come to expect. The lasagna that I order almost every visit was watery and flavorless. We observed another couple come in and request patio seating. They were denied as well and walked out. I wish we would have done the same. I don’t know that we’ll be in such a hurry to come back next trip. It’s a shame, as we really loved this place.
Overall pretty good Italian food, but the service is really lacking. Only go here if you've got some time to kill, it takes forever just to get someone to wait on you
We loved every single thing we tried, from the recommended house wine, to the salads, to the amazing pasta dishes and dessert. Everything was fresh, delicious, and flavorful. Service was a bit slow at times, but it was authentic and not irritating, just a nice, leisurely experience.
Service was great and the food was good!
