Choose to have a business lunch at La Vita E Bella, based on their website and information on OpenTable and was not disappointed. Our server was very personable, the service was great and our food was excellent. I had their meatballs and spaghetti, which was a large portion (I took the left overs home and enjoyed them the next day). Our server recommended an excellent Italian red, Dolcetto I think, which paired beautifully with our meals. After having an espresso, our waiter surprised us with a small pour of port. I now have another reason to visit the Belltown area of Seattle and will again soon!
Quaint neighborhood restaurant. Great food and service
sat outside, appreciated that option and the heaters,
service was excellent, food was good, great neighborhood place to meet up with friends,
We went to La Vita e Bella for the first time, to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary, and it was INCREDIBLE!!! The food was delicious, the staff were wonderful and the ambience was warm and charming. They brought us delicious tiramisu on the house, and helped make this celebration extra special.
I can't wait to come back to this truly wonderful restaurant!!!
The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was cozy. The specials of the night were out of this world. 100% going again.
A reliable neighborhood restaurant that offers a large variety of pasta dishes, fish and chicken. The lasagna made on premises and is made with a rich tomato sauce.
This place has good reviews so we thought we’d try somewhere new. Unfortunately, this is not a 4.5. Service was slow then suddenly my dinner showed up while my companions were eating salad. The carprese had virtually no basil - mainly other greens. They were out of gnocchi at 7pm on a Saturday evening. The veggies on the chicken dishes were dry and my carbonara was not that silky smooth sauce you expect. Flavor was good, just not the right texture. Do not get the pistachio gelato. It is pre-made and put into the deep freeze. Server insisted that gelato is supposed to be rock hard so that a spoon can’t make a dent. I don’t know where she’s had gelato but it isn’t Italy. The funniest thing was being told “gracias” on our way out of an Italian-Sicilian restaurant. Perhaps “ciao” would be correct?
Great family owned sicilian Italian food! Great wine menu :) very warm inside tho, want to strip naked i was so hot.
After reading the reviews our dinner was a major disappointment. The service was really bad bringing our main course before our appetizer. And the food was not very good and way overpriced. Maybe Seattle likes Italian food this way but in San Francisco we have different standards
The food was good but average. They made accommodations for my daughter who is vegan so that was nice. The gnocchi were very good. Wine selection is decent.
Large outdoor patio, everyone’s meal was great. Service was a little slow, but assume they were understaffed like most places. Definitely return
Solid quality southern Italian comfort food. No muss or fuss, just tasty. We enjoyed some brushcetta (cuz why eat plain bread when you can eat bread with delicious toppings), spinaci crepe, and spaghetti carbonara and fettuccini funghi, chocolate tartuffo. Sleeper hit was the crepe. GET a CREPE!! Service was relaxed, friendly, and attentive but not obtrusive (I am industry for 20+ years). We will be back for sure!
Great place - ambience, reliably good food, friendly (but sometimes slow) service.
This was absolutely one of the best tasting Italian restaurants we have ever eaten at, and that includes Naples, Florence, and Rome. World travelers and eat out is US regularly so that is a knowledgable compliment. Try it out for sure if in Seattle.
Good food. Ftiendly saff.
I continue to come here! One of my favorites is the cioppino. And don’t miss the limoncello dessert! Lots of outdoor dining seating as well
Super friendly staff, even better food. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit and will return next time we are in town.
We had a most enjoyable evening. The people at La Vita E Bella are great and the food was very good.
Wonderful selection, presentation, attentive service despite what seemed to be very small number of serving staff.
Food was excellent, especially the cheese ravioli with light cheese sauce and Dungeness crab, gnocchi, veal.. very nice wine selection, reasonably priced.
Only problem was the physical issues in the restaurant.
Smoky from kitchen, very warm to the point that half of my family were actually uncomfortable .
Very poor service, too many customers and not enough staff. Never delivered drinks, had to track down staff, food was not up to their usual standards. Second time so won’t be going any more.
Good food - poor service. Understand longer waits are to be expected with staff shortages, but other tables seemed to be getting attentive service.
The service was outstanding. The appetizers (Caprese salad and prawns with vegies) were unbelievably good. Ravioli Bolognese well above average and delicious. My friend ordered chicken piccata with veggies and said it was also very good. I'll definitely be back for dinner again soon as I just moved to belltown. Dinner for 2 with no desserts or alcohol very reasonably priced at $82 + tip for 2 appetizers and 2 entres. Complimentary bread with Olive oil herbed dip a bonus. Outdoor seating was very pleasant. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant that has a touch of old-world charm.
Food was disappointing. Chicken Piccata did not have lemon flavor and lasagna was filled with carrots, which should have been mentioned in the menu. Will not return.
Went here with the family and the food was fantastic. Came out steaming and so much flavor. It’s great for a date night or to even bring family and friends!!
We had super friendly service. Everyone there was great,
Everything was fresh, and truly delicious. Great spot for our family of 8!
Friendly, lovely pasta dishes.
Probably one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The rest of the food was just ok. Place not very clean and bathroom was filthy
loved every second there
Delicious pasta dishes, although enormous portions. Friendly staff.
the food was outstanding and we met some interesting people at the adjoining table.
Overall, great tasting food. Fantastic service.
This restaurant is consistently outstanding. The quality and taste of their food are incredible, the service is friendly, and the ambience is reminiscent of a typical restaurant in a typical Italian town. Strongly recommended.
The father / daughter team that helped us with our order and brought our meal we’re wonderful, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious.
Food was delicious and double cappuccino was the perfect finish to a delish meal.
Unfortunately Seattle seems to be slower in bouncing back from the pandemic than the area in which I live. La Vita E Bella is one of the few restaurants open on a Sunday evening and appeared to be short staffed (as many restaurants are). Still, it would have been nice to at least have someone check our beverages (water only for my son!) once during the meal.
Super friendly staff and nice selection of Italian dishes. Try the bruschetta and end with a cannoli!
Completely understaffed. Great location & ambiance. Hope staffing improves.
Great place. Awesome king salmon and farfalle salmone. Great value for great food.
The food was very good. We would eat there again, for sure. Our server was personable and professional.
