La Vita E Bella Ratings and Reviews
I took my friend to celebrate our birthdays that fell on either side of the weekend. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the decir was homey and the feel was very relaxed and friendly. I had never been before but will probably go more often now that I have found it.
Picked this based on reviews. SPOT ON!! Was very happy with the friendly service. Husband enjoyed the salmon special. Child enjoyed smoked salmon farfalle dish. The spaghetti carbonara (a touted house classic) was good but I like my pancetta crispier and my sauce more runny (raw egg), but again, that is ME and my taste. The dish still tasted delicious! If we had room for dessert I'm sure it would have blown me away...this is a neighborhood treasure!
We had a great time here while we were on vacation. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the drinks and our waiter, Sean Michael, made it a fun experience, especially for folks who don't know Italian food or wine pairings very well. On our go-back list next time we get to visit Seattle, for sure.
We had reservations. The restaurant was not busy. They sat us at a table down a hallway. No one came to our table for at least 15 minutes. I was ready to walk out. Service was terrible. Minestrone was presented as a potato, broccoli broth. I sent it back. They said that IS minestrone...😟 I will not be going back to this restaurant.
This restaurant is an absolute GEM!!! The service was fantastic, the ambiance was great, and the food was unbelievably good. If you have a chance, order fettuccine alfredo (not on the menu). The chef made this for our 12 year old and it was truly unbelievable! It has the most delicious brown sugar flavor - it was almost like a dessert pasta. I'd travel 3.5 hours on a plane back to Seattle just for that. Anywhere with a margarita panini named the "Sofia Loren" and a picture from the movie Il Postino is right by me...
Food was great. Had to ask for bread 5 times. Charged for bruschetta that never came. Waiter was apologetic and friendly. Drinks were good. Handmade pizza dough and pasta. Pasta di mare was amazing. Quite restaurant but only 3 other tables. May get loud when busy.
My wife and I love this place. We discovered it by accident on Christmas last year, and were incredibly impressed. The food is amazing, the staff friendly (and speaking Italian to one another, which is amazing), and the value incredible, particularly for Seattle. I have been telling everyone about this place, and will definitely be back.
Was looking for a moderately priced Italian restaurant that was still fairly fresh and authentic, which can be REALLY hard to find. This place hit the spot. EXCELLENT food, amazing service and food/wine suggestions, fresh local ingredients... All for a very reasonable price
We were visiting family in Seattle over the holidays and were looking for a great place for dinner on Christmas Day. La Vita E Bella exceeded my expectations. The food was great, the place was nice, and the staff had a great attitude considering they were being run ragged on Christmas. My Choppino was amazing. Great food, good prices, good wine selection. I'll be returning next time I'm in Seattle.
A romantic restaurant due to it's simplicity. A single rose on each table. The wine list was full of offerings but not the ridiculous 8 page menu of a pretentious place. A waiter who listened and then made suggestions. The food-fantastic! One of the best "date dinners" we have had in years in Seattle.
La Vita Bella was so so good! We enjoyed everything from the great wine selection, to the warm bread with marinated olive oil (basil, garlic, peppers :) to our main dishes. Enjoyed the classica bruschetta and ordered the special of the evening (penne with small shrimp in vodka sauce). Sauce was fantastic. A friend ordered the carbonara and it was to die for!!
Everyone had a pleasant time and the price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity you receive. I'd recommend to anyone! Bravo!
