La Vita E Bella Ratings and Reviews
Evening was great! Food was terrific, as always. Wine good. It was a little noisy in the back with several large tables but it was Friday. My guest this night was an attorney from Alaska. Every guest I have taken there, and there have been a lot, just loves the food, wine and usually the ambiance.
The food was good although the chef would not allow me to substitute cream sauce for meat sauce which to me is not a major request. I'm lactose intolerant so that was my reason but he wouldn't budge so I ordered the rigatoni. It was good. My only concern is that OK rating on the front window which apparently reflects how clean the kitchen is kept. We didn't realize until afterwards and would have chosen a different place based on that review.
Service was ok because they forgot my friend's order so we had to wait to eat until she got her food. It was a quiet night so not sure why 4 peoples orders couldn't come out at the same time.
I'd eat there again if the restaurant rating increased from OK to Excellent.
La Vita eBella is great authentic Italian dining. My wife ordered the halibut special. The halibut was cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce and kalamata olives. I had the salmon special also perfectly cooked with capers and sun dried tomatoes.
We haven't tried the pizza, but if you're looking for great traditional pasta and seafood with good wine, you can't miss with La Vita eBella!
Good experience. Made reservation to sit on outside patio (great ambiance) but just....Too.....Hot. So sat inside. Very pleasant. Dining room was full but not noisy. Shrimp, spinach, pitacchio appetizer was awesome. My lasagna & my wife's mushroom, sausage crepe were great. And they have Peroni on tap......niiiiiice. Not too expensive. We'll definitely go back.
We have been here a number of times and the food is always good - however, this time I ordered the mushroom crepes I have had in the past and was told that they were not making crepes that evening. They recommended a pasta plate with the mushrooms and sausage - it was ok at best - the pasta seemed tough and heavy. I ate most of the mushrooms and sausage and left the pasta. Rather disappointing this time.
We read stellar reviews on Yelp but our experience did not match. The restaurant was barely 10% full when we showed up for our reservation but had to wait over 5 mins to be seated. Once seated we waited another 10 before our waiter showed up so we could order drinks. For a starter my husband ordered the minestrone but his soup was potato, broccoli and carrots - definitely not a minestrone.
Our entrees were overly salty and not very flavorful. Our waiter never came back to ask how the meals were or to let us order more drinks. The quality and service we're definitely not worth the price. We would not recommend.
I took my friend to celebrate our birthdays that fell on either side of the weekend. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the decir was homey and the feel was very relaxed and friendly. I had never been before but will probably go more often now that I have found it.
Picked this based on reviews. SPOT ON!! Was very happy with the friendly service. Husband enjoyed the salmon special. Child enjoyed smoked salmon farfalle dish. The spaghetti carbonara (a touted house classic) was good but I like my pancetta crispier and my sauce more runny (raw egg), but again, that is ME and my taste. The dish still tasted delicious! If we had room for dessert I'm sure it would have blown me away...this is a neighborhood treasure!
We had a great time here while we were on vacation. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the drinks and our waiter, Sean Michael, made it a fun experience, especially for folks who don't know Italian food or wine pairings very well. On our go-back list next time we get to visit Seattle, for sure.
We had reservations. The restaurant was not busy. They sat us at a table down a hallway. No one came to our table for at least 15 minutes. I was ready to walk out. Service was terrible. Minestrone was presented as a potato, broccoli broth. I sent it back. They said that IS minestrone...😟 I will not be going back to this restaurant.
