We wanted to support one of our favorite restaurants during all the Covid-19 disruptions. We went on a Saturday night and were heartened to see a goodly number of others there as well. The food, as always, was outstanding and the service great.
First time at this local restaurant, food and service were both really good, will definitely be back. Had the lasagna which was very meaty, delicious.
We had reservations but got there 15 late they were able to seat us at the bar. You cannot be late for rezzys at this place. You cannot get upset if they cannot seat you right away. It is worth the wait!! Great food! I had the carbonara and it was sensational. My husband has the pasta da mare and thought it was very good and not too heavy. Place is small and you will definitely need reservations on the weekend! Staff is nice but can get a little brusque when service heats up. Overall excellent food for the price. Highly recommend!
Got there 5 minutes early for our reservation and were told it would be 30-45 minutes. What is the point of having open table. Rude hostess.
We chose to dine here for Valentine’s Day. Everything was lovely. We had the crab ravioli and it was delicious. We felt very welcome and had a great time.
Delicious food and great service! Even catered a dish to be meat free for me! Staff was very nice.
Some of the best food in town. Always ask what the pasta special is. It's usually to die for.
It was pretty good. The wait staff was a little brusque, but maybe because they were busy. Food was ok.
Super great experience! Love the food and the waiter was amazing too!
This was our second time to the restaurant. I made reservations pretty much at the 11th hour and was able to secure a time at 9:45. Unfortunately we were a little late getting to the restaurant due to our play running long and traffic, but were seated immediately. Being New Years Eve, the place was very busy, but the service was great. Food was very good as well - sometimes on holidays that is not always the case with restaurants, but we were definitely pleased. Not to mention very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend.
Had an early New Years Eve dinner. Due to the holiday it was a limited menu. The restaurant was packed solid and the servers were working very hard. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was due to the 2 factors mentioned above - limited menu and very busy servers which resulted in a bit less attention. The meal and evening was still a very, very good experience and we will definitely come back to enjoy the full menu and the excellent service.
Great find, good service and food. The olive oil and bread we delicious!
A nice authentic Italian experience-we shared all our portions-so this is a four person view! We started with the simple but authentic bruschetta, steamed clams, and a Caesar salad-all nice and enjoyable. The clams disappeared in seconds...oops another order quickly went in. We then got serious with an order of carbonara, cioppino, and salmon. The carbonara was excellent-done just right and the seafood dishes where eagerly shared.
It seems two types of dinners frequent La Vita E Bella-the regulars getting their standard order or a pizza to go to others having a true feast-makes for a more local meal. Wine list is fairly extensive and the Barolo we had was good but they charged us a little “interest” for holding it! Service was tag team efficient-never a dry glass and heaps of seafood keep coming out from the kitchen-truly a nice unpretentious fund. We will be back to try the pizza and maybe have another crack at the cioppino...
The atmosphere and food remind me of the Trattoria Armando (a favorite restaurant) in Florence - Peter.
Amazing, authentic Italian cuisine! Staff treats you like part of the family, always attentive and ready to ensure your table experience is perfect. Food is delicious, lengthy wine list, and fabulous dessert options. Have been here the last two Christmases and will be back!
First visit to this great little neighborhood place. Found it only because OpenTable showed a few places still with seats available on Christmas night. VERY busy probably equally fun on other evenings.
I dislike giving poor reviews to small businesses as I know how hard it is to be an owner, and I feel this restaurant is trying, however, we had Christmas dinner there when they first opened, and my husband and I were not impressed. The dinner was a gift from my son, so we did not want to say anything negative in front of him.
My dish was the veal scallopini and the meat was deli cut thin and was tough to cut into and flavorless. Chunks of steamed vegetables on the side were bland and the asparagus was tough, too.
My husband ordered the pasta with Italian sausage and mushrooms and said that he could not find any sausage in the dish except for a few crumbles. but full of mushrooms that may have come out of a can.
They do get other great reviews, so maybe the cook was not happy to work on Christmas Day!
Excellent environment, the service was genuine and poignant, and the food was pretty good. The place was empty at 6 when we arrived and completely full by 7 when we were preparing to leave. I would recommend La Vita E Bella, and highly enjoyed the sicilia salad.
A great dining experience. Service was excellent and The number of choices on the menu was fantastic.
Amazing, delicious food! Great, friendly service! Would highly recommend.
Food and service was fabulous! We’d definitely go again!
It was a great find! Our waiter even recognized my husband from a previous restaurant from a couple years ago. Definitely will go back. Great food and wine choices.
The food, as always, was exceptional. Prices were reasonable and service was attentive. It's one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Always ask what is the "pasta special." It's usually to die for.
First time in Seattle. Found this place in a Lonely Planet tour book. The profiteroles are amazing!
It was my birthday. All the food was absolutely delicious definitely would go again!!!
Just be prepared for a wait, but it is well worth it. Great food, server was fabulous in spite of the restaurant being short handed. Just go with folks you like to be with; you can chat and then have an excellent meal!
Really wanted to love this restaurant, as the staff was very pleasant and the location is great. But given the high standards established by nearby Italian restaurants in Seattle, the food was just average (overcooked pasta, ok sauce). We might return if we are craving Italian and don't want to wait for a table at other places. Great for groups too.
We ordered a salad and appetizer and both were fantastic. Our main dishes were also great. The service was quick and friendly. Great atmosphere for an evening out.
Good food & service but was lacking a little in atmosphere, there were only six other diners when we were there 7. 30 pm - 8.45pm , I’m sure it gets busier though
Great food and service. Would definitely go back.
Real deal Italian food.
I have enjoyed dining here before, but yesterday after I ordered, I was informed that they were out of Gluten Free pasta, which is the whole reason I go there to eat...and I had mentioned needing Gluten Free on my Open Table reservation. Very disappointing, to say the least.
Nice servers and good food! Our server recommended that we may be happy with splitting one salad with our entree. Though he was correct, I liked the salad so much I wish I had had a full salad, and not shared with my friend.
Food is fabulous. Never had a bad meal. The two people who own the restaurant are very nice. Attentive without smothering.
Excellent food, some of the best pasta I have ever eaten. Salad and appetizers were also amazing.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant
Good food and ambiance. However, stood waiting for over seven minutes to be greeted and was ignored by four or five staff so came very close to walking out. First impressions are everything so you need to up your game in this area.
Always an excellent meal at this restaurant! Pasta is always cooked al dente.
Not sure if we caught them on an off night. Restaurant was super busy but it took quite a bit of time for anyone to acknowledge us. We mainly had the feeling that we were in the way. Actually spent about 15 minutes standing near door and dodging servers and staff until someone seated us. Food was good but we felt more like an inconvenience.
Friendly host and waitstaff, charming ambiance, and delicious food. Loved sitting outside to watch people and dogs strolling down the street. Very pleased with our experience.
