La Vita E Bella Ratings and Reviews
While the food and service were great, clearly the restaurant was focused on turning tables as fast as they could instead of offering a relaxed experience . Being Valentine’s Day, I wanted to have a great and relaxed dinner. But I felt like being pushed through a mass production factory. We had cocktails, appetizers, main course and dessert all in 55 minutes. Way too rushed!
And in fact, this meant less money for the restaurant. We were planning on having our cocktails and then getting a wine bottle. Things moved so fast, that cocktails lasted until well into the main course. So it didn’t make sense to ask for the wine anymore.
From the time we arrived to the time we left the servers were attentive and engaging . The food was perfect and every person in our party was very happy with the evening. The birthday party was one the best we have ever had at a restaurant in many years. Coming from an Italian family out of NY city we were so impressed with the meals and the presentation.
Completely uncomfortable place, get's smokey from cooking, eyes start burning (saw 2 people using visine) then they open the door so you can sit and enjoy freezing your butt off while eating dinner. Bread was hard as a rock. Food was ok.
The food is consistently delicious here, and they always have wonderful specials. It's much more truly "Italian" than many local places. The only thing I could say I dislike is the stupid TV playing a football game over the bar area during dinner. I prefer when they have the accordion player, and feel like during dinner on a weekend, the TV should be off.
My husband and I went for a date night here. We reserved in advance and had no idea with our reservation. Our server was a great guy and let us have our space, but was available when we needed anything. The restaurant itself is really cute and is definitely a great spot to grab wine or dinner with a friend, or a date. The food itself wasn't anything to write home about, but it was okay overall. Don't think I'd necessarily go back for the food specifically, but I'd definitely go back fora glad of wine and an app.
I love this restaurant so much! I’ve lived in Seattle for 20 years now, and this is probably the best Italian I’ve ever had (sorry mom). I can’t believe I’ve never been here before this, and I’m sure I will be going back again.
I had the fettuccine tartufo, my wife had a spaghetti di mare dish. Both were excellent. Seriously, it’s hard to make Italian food that isn’t too sweet, too salty, too “thin”. La Vita E Bella’s offerings are delicious, well proportioned, and left me with a satisfied feeling for the rest of the night.
The service was also excellent. Prompt, friendly without being cloying, warm.
If you want real Italian food in a warm, comfortable and authentic environment, do yourself a favor and eat here.
Nice people and decent food, but after telling the server about an allergy I was served two plates of food with the one thing in the world I'm allergic to. That ingredient was not listed on the ingredients of either item on the menu and the server said nothing when we ordered. Underwhelmed by the response thereafter. The rest of the experience was fine, but not amazing food or service.
We were a large party of 10 on a Sunday evening. Food was excellent, arriving very hot so obviously did not 'sit' any length of time even though there were 10 orders that needed to be delivered simultaneously. The wait staff was outstanding. It was just an overall excellent experience and I would highly recommend La Vita Bella.
Food was fresh and flavorful, it was like being back in Italy. The bruschetta was perfect and the olive oil was delicious, which came from the farm of the brother of the owner in Italy. The pasta was not too heavy but hearty; my mother-in-law said the lasagna was the best she's ever had, and she's had a lot.
Great service, nice ambiance. I would definitely go back again.
Evening was great! Food was terrific, as always. Wine good. It was a little noisy in the back with several large tables but it was Friday. My guest this night was an attorney from Alaska. Every guest I have taken there, and there have been a lot, just loves the food, wine and usually the ambiance.
The food was good although the chef would not allow me to substitute cream sauce for meat sauce which to me is not a major request. I'm lactose intolerant so that was my reason but he wouldn't budge so I ordered the rigatoni. It was good. My only concern is that OK rating on the front window which apparently reflects how clean the kitchen is kept. We didn't realize until afterwards and would have chosen a different place based on that review.
Service was ok because they forgot my friend's order so we had to wait to eat until she got her food. It was a quiet night so not sure why 4 peoples orders couldn't come out at the same time.
I'd eat there again if the restaurant rating increased from OK to Excellent.
La Vita eBella is great authentic Italian dining. My wife ordered the halibut special. The halibut was cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce and kalamata olives. I had the salmon special also perfectly cooked with capers and sun dried tomatoes.
We haven't tried the pizza, but if you're looking for great traditional pasta and seafood with good wine, you can't miss with La Vita eBella!
Good experience. Made reservation to sit on outside patio (great ambiance) but just....Too.....Hot. So sat inside. Very pleasant. Dining room was full but not noisy. Shrimp, spinach, pitacchio appetizer was awesome. My lasagna & my wife's mushroom, sausage crepe were great. And they have Peroni on tap......niiiiiice. Not too expensive. We'll definitely go back.
We have been here a number of times and the food is always good - however, this time I ordered the mushroom crepes I have had in the past and was told that they were not making crepes that evening. They recommended a pasta plate with the mushrooms and sausage - it was ok at best - the pasta seemed tough and heavy. I ate most of the mushrooms and sausage and left the pasta. Rather disappointing this time.
