La Vita E Bella
A great dining experience. Service was excellent and The number of choices on the menu was fantastic.
Amazing, delicious food! Great, friendly service! Would highly recommend.
Food and service was fabulous! We’d definitely go again!
It was a great find! Our waiter even recognized my husband from a previous restaurant from a couple years ago. Definitely will go back. Great food and wine choices.
The food, as always, was exceptional. Prices were reasonable and service was attentive. It's one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Always ask what is the "pasta special." It's usually to die for.
First time in Seattle. Found this place in a Lonely Planet tour book. The profiteroles are amazing!
It was my birthday. All the food was absolutely delicious definitely would go again!!!
Just be prepared for a wait, but it is well worth it. Great food, server was fabulous in spite of the restaurant being short handed. Just go with folks you like to be with; you can chat and then have an excellent meal!
Really wanted to love this restaurant, as the staff was very pleasant and the location is great. But given the high standards established by nearby Italian restaurants in Seattle, the food was just average (overcooked pasta, ok sauce). We might return if we are craving Italian and don't want to wait for a table at other places. Great for groups too.
We ordered a salad and appetizer and both were fantastic. Our main dishes were also great. The service was quick and friendly. Great atmosphere for an evening out.
Good food & service but was lacking a little in atmosphere, there were only six other diners when we were there 7. 30 pm - 8.45pm , I’m sure it gets busier though
Great food and service. Would definitely go back.
Real deal Italian food.
I have enjoyed dining here before, but yesterday after I ordered, I was informed that they were out of Gluten Free pasta, which is the whole reason I go there to eat...and I had mentioned needing Gluten Free on my Open Table reservation. Very disappointing, to say the least.
Nice servers and good food! Our server recommended that we may be happy with splitting one salad with our entree. Though he was correct, I liked the salad so much I wish I had had a full salad, and not shared with my friend.
Food is fabulous. Never had a bad meal. The two people who own the restaurant are very nice. Attentive without smothering.
Excellent food, some of the best pasta I have ever eaten. Salad and appetizers were also amazing.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant
Good food and ambiance. However, stood waiting for over seven minutes to be greeted and was ignored by four or five staff so came very close to walking out. First impressions are everything so you need to up your game in this area.
Always an excellent meal at this restaurant! Pasta is always cooked al dente.
Not sure if we caught them on an off night. Restaurant was super busy but it took quite a bit of time for anyone to acknowledge us. We mainly had the feeling that we were in the way. Actually spent about 15 minutes standing near door and dodging servers and staff until someone seated us. Food was good but we felt more like an inconvenience.
Friendly host and waitstaff, charming ambiance, and delicious food. Loved sitting outside to watch people and dogs strolling down the street. Very pleased with our experience.
While the food was delicious the service was sub par. Food came out at different times and the bar consistently made mistakes when creating our simple cocktails.
I used to come to this restaurant and it was great overall. Service, appearance and management is poor. The good thing is that the food is still good.
This restaurant has its pluses and minuses. The house Chianti was delicious as was my husband's local draft beer. The bread was okay...nicer if it had been warmed up a bit as it was on the cool side. The spinach salad was delicious. The spinach was buttery tender, and the salad was loaded with walnuts and gorgonzola and had a nice light dressing. Unfortunately, our Chicken Piccata was overcooked and tasted like rubber...we could barely cut it. Our server was apologetic and offered to bring us another dish but we didn't feel like waiting. Instead, he brought us a complimentary Tartufo which was filled with vanilla and chocolate gelato which we both enjoyed. Would we return? Maybe but with all of the restaurant choices in Seattle, it would not be at the top of our list. I really wanted to like this restaurant and hope they were just having a bad night.
Surprising to find a typical Italian trattoria in Seattle, but a very pleasant one. The wine list is heavily accented toward Italian wines - an excellent Monrepulciano - and the food first class and more authentic than the average Italian restaurant in America.
High school graduation
First time visitors - will definitely be back - service was great and the food was outstanding! Highly recommend - look forward to visiting Seattle soon and will be making reservations here!
Had a wonderful lunch. Great service and great food! Can't wait for the next time
With so many choices to dine in Belltown I selected this restaurant because we were craving Italian. We were advised to seat ourselves. Service was immediate but very detached. Our Caprese was stone cold and had obviously been refrigerated in advance. Cold mozzarella. We ordered the halibut special and spaghetti and meatballs. The halibut was well received but the meatballs were hard as stones. Our server never returned to check on us and our meal. The only time we saw a sign of life in our server was when he presented our checks. Which we had surmised was probably how it was going to go based on his elusiveness during dinner. We thought he might be working the dining room and patio by himself and so asked but were told there was another server working. We tried to give him an out. The only way to show our disappointment was with the tip, which was 10%. I always tip 20-20% but am tired of servers only measuring up during the last five minutes of our interaction.
The service was terrible. We had a nice table outside, but our server would disappear for 20 minutes at a time. We ordered out drinks and finally had to ask another server for them. We ordered our meals, and 20 minutes later the server said he lost the slip so we needed to re-order. 30 minutes later he brought my dinner, but not my daughter's. This is how the evening went, and each time with an apology. They ended up compensating both dinners.
Great value for great food! Our party of 10 all enjoyed! we had everything from pizza to seafood pasta.
Not your typical upscale beautiful restaurant, but the ambience was great, the food was terrific, and the service by the owner, who was also our waiter, was excellent. We especially enjoyed the halibut, which was perfectly cooked and the serving was generous. The soup with Italian sausage was fantastic.
Great place will be back!
go to place for great Italian food and close to home
We stumbled onto this place a few months ago looking for something new. The cuisine is very authentic, defiantly NOT another spaghetti house. The staff is very helpful in navigating the menu and are always willing to go off the page to make something special. I have recommended this establishment to several friends who all have been very impressed.
We celebrate all of our birthdays here ( 5 of us). The last time we came in February the service was bad. This time was just as bad. We had the same waiter and he was non existent. He was texting behind the bar non stop both times ( February and last night). He never asked if we wanted another glass of wine. I actually had to go up to the bar to ask for one. He was eating behind the bar and generally didn’t give a crap about service. I’m pretty sure he heard me comment about how he hadn’t even checked to see if we were enjoying our meal and only then did he ask how are meals were. The other gentleman working was great. We tipped accordingly and decided it is time to find a new place for our birthday dinners. I’m in restaurant business and this is not acceptable. See you later La Vita Bella.
Service was excellent. Food was served hot and very tasty. Ministrone Soup was mild but tasty...Caesar salad very fresh and enough for two or three people. Would recommend,
The ambiance was perfectly romantic.....the service was exceptional!!... and the food....Omgosh so... Italy... my favorite so far is the Cesar salad.... the classic bruschetta...and the chicken parmigiana...oh !!! And the olive oil!!!!...it’s crazy good!!!
I had a wonderful time at dinner on Saturday! I have been to this restaurant before, so when my friend said he wanted some great authentic Italian food, I immediately thought of you guys. The servers here are always very attentive and polite. The food is unbelievably delicious. The ambiance is like no other place in Seattle.
Sorry for the lengthy read, but they deserve it. Will definitely be back!
