Festival show and buffet
Great service, loved eating outside...no bugs flying around and WOW the Buffet had quite an assortment as well as the menu...both very gooood!
Buffet was overpriced, but omelettes were fantastic!
Very disappointed in this restaurant. We didn't sit outside because it was only buffet there. We wanted to eat from the menu which we found was very limited. There are so many excellent restaurants in Aruba that we wouldn't go to La Vista again.
Excellent! We go there every time we visit Aruba. Great food, superb service.
Great buffet! Sushi, pasta bar (custom made pasta dishes), pizza, seafood (crab craws, shlimp, mussels, etc.), carving station, and then all the nightly specials in a round serving station. 4 Star food. Very friendly. Iced tea was good. Didn’t get drink drinks. Sunset was gorgeous. Outdoor seating was Nice!
We came here the first night of our vacation since we’re staying at the Marriott and it seemed convenient. It was Thursday night which is apparently a special buffet night. We told them we would like to order off the menu and the hostess said that’s fine and lead us to our seats. We noticed there was seating available outside and asked if we could sit there, she said okay and we sat outside with the menus. A few minutes later our server came over and told us we can’t order the menu outside, and they outside is buffet only. We explained that we told the hostess we wanted to order off the menu and she sat us out here. The server was obviously irriatated and mumbled something that we didn’t catch. It was awkward so we offered to leave so that it wouldn’t cause an inconvenience. She seemed annoyed but said that it was fine and we could order off the menu outside. The rest of the dinner was subpar service, if you want to call it that. Only came by to take orders or drop off items. She never even smiled until we were walking out and she said bye. We spent more money on entrees than we would have on the buffet so not sure why we were treated so negatively. Definitely a bummer and will not be back even though we’re staying at the Marriott for 2 weeks.
We had a Wonderful New Year’s eve here! The food was delicious and the servers were so friendly.
Stopped in for dinner before the show. Nice outdoor seating on the veranda overlooking the beach. They have a buffet (which we weren't interested in) and a small menu of about 6 appetizers, 6 sandwiches, 6 salads/soups and 6 entrees. They accommodated me by making my Caesar salad with steak and it was good. My wife's Tortellini were OK. The service could have been a bit better. While they constantly filled our waters, the server could have checked back a bit more. Overall, average place with prices par for being a Marriott on an island.
Great breakfast & dinner buffet with gluten free options too. Kid friendly and casual. Comfortable, great waterfront view and nice outdoor seating, we will be going back!
Excellent buffet, nice room, good staff.
Great Thanksgiving buffet. Traditional and other items.
We were disappointed in the food overall. staff was great and was the atmosphere.
We love the buffet! They have a nice variety of food, and everything is delicious!
Our server Elly was awesome! She was really friendly and made us smile!
Food is never good here. Has a stale not fresh taste. The butter served with rolls was actually turned, meaning the fat had separated from the cream. Food is just not up to Marriott standards.
When will they get bathrooms not shared with the pool? Or perhaps keeping them clean?
Great seafood buffet we look forward to whenever we are in Aruba
5 stars for our waitress evelyn. Lots of variety from breakfast, seafood, pasta, steak etc.
Awesome meal!!! All you can eat grilled Carlbbean lobster and prime rib we're excellent and well worth the price!! Everything else on the buffett were just as good. It may not have been an extensive variety, but what they offered was top quality! Service was exceptional!
A nice variety of choices. Service was great. Especially Keith, he was super.
The service was wonderful as well as the food. My only criticism is that they told me that I didn’t keep my reservation. Even though I had a confirmation for the time they arrived, they insisted I was late. They even reported me to Open Table whom I booked it through.
Food was average, steak was over cooked. Service was fantastic and very attentive.
A la Carte menu was unavailable. Only $65 buffet. That should be clearly expressed. If we knew that we would have made a reservation somewhere else.
We were there for Italian buffet night and the food was OK.
Venir a aruba en domingo y no pasar aunque sea una vez es como no venir , excelente opcion para los que les gusta comer variado y en cantidad con muy buena calidad y sabor. Lo recomiendo
Excellent food. Lots of variety
Our sever was great, but the salad with tuna was less than stellar. The tuna was perfectly cooked, but it arrived without dressing or the promised avocado and almonds. We didn't realize until leaving that there was a buffet option. It looked good.
We went to the seafood buffet. There is an excellent selection for seafood lovers, as well as non-seafood lovers. The salad bar also has a wide variety of ingredients to satisfy the salad enthusiasts. The desert selection was ok-- especially liked the small portions so sampling more than one desert isn't wasteful. In my opinion, if you can't find something you like here, I'd say you were especially fussy.
We went here for Lobster Nite again and got Ryan as our server again like last year! Everything was excellent...quality of food, service and ambiance! A great variety of fresh and delicious dishes to choose from, very friendly and attentive service, restaurant is very clean and a pleasure to dine in! We would definitely dine here again and would recommend to any one looking for an excellent upscale restaurant with reasonable prices.
Maybe I was spoiled by the other dinners I had while staying in Aruba but this dining experience missed the mark. The food was average at best and for what is was... It was overpriced.
We enjoyed the wait staff as they were very talkative and humorous with their recommendations. There was a buffet, but we chose a la carte from the menu. We both got sea bass and a glass of reisling. The sea bass tasted slightly fishy to me, but the accompaniments were delicious, with the cheese sauce, mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. There was bread pudding on the menu, but we were too full to endulge. The bread was okay, but not very flavorful.
Too pricey @ $65 for standard fare buffet w/ the exception of the lobster tails & prime rib stations
We had an awesome buffet breakfast on our friends' last day in Aruba. The Eggs Benedict was outstanding and so was everything else. The only exception was the Corned Beef Hash- that used to be my favorite at La Vista. Now I can't even eat it. But the Paninies (sp?) and the omelets and bread selection are all excellent.
Thank you once again for a wonderful brunch. It was delicious. It was full though and had to wait for replacement everytime but it was worth it
Budget was high quality with good variety. We have 5 kids and everyone was happy. That never happens.
Keith the waiter was so on point! Will deff be back next year!!
I went on Saturday for the seafood buffet on 7/15 for $64.00 dollars a person for me and my husband. All I can say it was not worth it. Beware , spend your money on a good meal elsewhere. I am from the state of Massachusetts and I know I am use the the Maine Lobsters and seafood where I live but when i went to this restaurant in Aruba, and i am giving you my honest opinion it was just not worth the money that they were charging probably half would have been acceptable and I really thought I was going to receive this great Carribean buffet of seafood.. The lobster tiny half tale that is given in this buffet the meat was tough, very minimal selective of seafood, shrimp, very very miniature crab claws ? The crabs are tiny in the Carribean area, mussels, and oysters which my husband said was okay nothing to rave over that was it for seafood, no drinks at all on the buffet menu had to order separate, glass of red wine $12.00 one glass. The waitress, who was nice but very quiet never explained if you wanted more than water it was extra. This restaurant is not worth it go else where I even went to the breakfast buffet on one of my days there at the hotel and that menu was not worth it either for the price. I had wished I had spent my money elsewhere at a better restaurant, either tried next door at Ritz Carlton restaurant, or even Ruth Chris steak house the $64.00 dollars a piece would have paid for 2 Prime steaks and would have been worth it. To say none the less I was very disappointed in this restaurant when I had my seafood buffet dinner there. Just writing my review for someone else does not have to experience this.....
The lobster buffet on Saturdays is "to die for!!!"
Chose La Vista due to proximity. Chose the buffet which turned out to be excellent. There were choices for our party of ten; pizza, fish, meat, pasta station. Service was excellent, very attentive
