About La Villetta Ristorante Italiano
Dining Italian Style is not just for sustenance, it"s the coming together of family & friends. At La Villetta, the meals prepared by Chef Maria are Old World recipes and her own creations prepared and served to her family and friends for over 25 years. From Caserta, Italy, she learned her culinary art under the tutelage of Chef Angelo Mirra. Maria with Angelo moved to Montreal, Canada via Basil, Switzerland where they worked as a team for eight years at the Hotel Simblone. In Montreal, the first of three 4-star restaurants opened and introduced Maria's style of Italian cuisine. Under the management of Maria's son & daughter, these restaurants still serve the people of Montreal Casa Cacciatore. In 1985 SALVATORE SELLITTO and MARIA COSTANZA opened Casa Cacciatore in Pompano Beach Florida. For 7 years their patrons from Boca Raton demanded they bring to Boca their real sense of Italian hospitality. CUCINA - RICERCATA E GENUINA BUON APPETITO

La Villetta Ristorante Italiano Ratings and Reviews
La Villetta Restorante Italiano is a true gem. The House Specialty is whole fish (trout) baked in sea salt and deboned table side is a must try. The wine list is as expected and the service is par excellence. Salvatore and Chef Maria treat everyone like family.
My husband and I were out with our friends from the area and we just keep coming back over and over again. This is a sign of a great restaurant. Enjoy, Repeat, Enjoy!!
I made reservations for Valentine's Day a month ahead of time. The restaurant confirmed it the week before. We were seated promptly. Our waiter and assistants were there in a flash. We were presented with the specials after our drink order was taken and delivered. We were not in a rush and service was appropriately timed. The bill was reasonable and a 20% tip was fully earned and deserved. We are looking forward to returning sooner rather than later. For now, it's back to the gym.
This is the first time to this restaurant and we will certainly go back. The food was excellent, the staff quite attentive. We found the atmosphere to be quite enjoyable. While we were dining a bit early(6pm) tables filled quickly as the night went on but never was the noise level too high nor was the staff stressed to not be attentive.
Excellent service makes you feel like a valued customer. House wine is a real bargain as well. Dinners come with a tossed salsa... reminiscent of days gone by. Dinners were veal parm, veal with scallions, and chicken with eggplant. Portions were large enough to make lunch the next day.
This is an upscale restaurant, and we made an Open Table reservation. We were met at the door and told we had a 'special table reserved'. Well that 'special table' was a booth in the bar area facing the door to the restrooms. We complained and were told by the owner that he had 'overbooked'. We took the table, but the meal was ruined from this seating.
In leaving, we found out that the real reason for our banishment to the 'leper colony', was that the owner was saving tables for his regulars in the main dining room. Since he did not know us he put us in the bar area. He said he could have put us somewhere in the dining room, but the meal would be rushd to make way for other guests.
The long and the short, excellent food, but if you are considering this on a Friday or Saturday night and have not been here before and have an Open Table reservation, be prepared to be treated like an intruder and placed at a table where the scenery is people going to the restrooms.
It was an awful experience that we have never experienced before. This was not a hamburger and fried place but an experience upscale dining establishment.
I have eaten in your restaurant many times and have loved the food and ambiance. This past Saturday night i decided to start my dinner with a shrimp cocktail. How disappointing to find only 3 shrimp for $16. They should have at least been prawns or at least 5 shrimp.
Very authentic Southern Italian cuisine. Excellent service. Extremely attentive and knowledgeable server. Hand-made fettuccini noodles with vine ripened fresh tomatoes was cooked to perfection. Tortellini in broth was fantastic. Chicken Suprema was supremely tasty. Jumbo shrimp cocktail was mouth watering delicious. House salad with vinigerette dressing was fresh and tasty. Flourless chocolate cake was delicious. Chocolate eclair was exceptional. Overall excellent dining experience. Fantastico! Brava!
The food is savory and superb like Mamma made. I had the lemon/caper fish with mushrooms. It was beyond great. My husband from Milan had the home made pasta. It was the Real deal- Best pasta in Boca!!! The dessert is a cart selection but the ricotta cheesecake is to die for.!!!!OMG!!!!The dining room is quiet and great for real conversation with friends. This is a go to place for a great meal every time. It requires a reservation. Wonderful service.
We’ve been to La Villetta many times and it was one of my favorites. I ordered the swordfish and was extremely disappointed. It was not what I would expect a restaurant of this quality to serve. Skinny and tasteless. Salad was also a zero. Our server was very nice... he even warned me!
This is such a wonderful place. This is not a tourist stop but t home to regulars and they treat everyone like you are a regular.
Coco our regular waiter is un believable always attentive and great memory . I have dined here many times and never a disappointment. Try it and you will be a regular also . Try to house specialty whole baked fish it's amazing or go on Sundays for the Su day gravey and you will never be disappointed any day you go.
i was a bit disappointed in La Valletta. The appetizer of poblano pepper stuffed with cheese was good. the waiter sliced it into 4 portions because we were 4 people. Very accommodating. Mu husband had a veal dish with eggplant. He said it was tasty but not enough on the plate. I had my all time favorite dish of Chicken Scarpiello. There was a taste of it being prepared many hours before and reheated. not what you would expect from a highly respected restaurant. The wait staff was always attentive.
