Mussels in Brodetto
Absolutely superb! Although everything was wonderful, the pappardelle with mushroom sauce is what dreams are made of! Scrumptious down to the last morsel. The sole stuffed with crab and shrimp, which I thought would be heavy/rich for summer, was surprisingly light and flavorful. We also had sole meunière and asparagus au gratin which also did not disappoint. The staff was attentive without hovering and the evening was a treat.
nice looking restaurant inside, you might miss it from the outside. menu had a lot of good choices. they also had a lot of specials 4 app, 5 entrees.
we had the salmon carpaccio which was delicious, some arugula, fresh salmon, almost like a ceviche, but better than that, as it wasnt so liquidy. we had the pollo a la vecchia which was very good. the chicken cordon bleu was absolutely delicious, highly reccommend. dessert was delicious. nice relaxing place, definitely should try
Also note - the prices were very reasonable .
Always go there for a great meal
La Vigna was delicious as always, it is one of our regular places to go. Thank you Anthony and the staff for a great night out.
The place needed a good sweep. The manager wasn’t pleasant bordering on rude unless you are a regular. He wasn’t on top of things. The food was good. Overwhelmed waiter tried his best to serve us. I would not return.
Delicious food as always! One of our favorite places to have dinner.
La Vigna uses only the freshest ingredients and prepares its meals individually upon being ordered. That increases the bright flavors and quality recipes its chef uses with its basically Northern Italian menu. And in a pricey New York City market, it's prices are unusually reasonable.
Excellent service and food was delicious.
Food is phenomenal although the service was slow.
Delicious dinner as always and amazing service! Thank you!
We have been customers of La Vigna for many years and we are never disappointed. The food is always wonderful. The staff is friendly and their service is impeccable. If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant, please make your next visit to La Vigna. You won't be sorry.
Have been going to La Vigna for a few years. Never had a bad meal here.
The food was outstanding and we absolutely loved every dish we tried. The wine was great too. The place was clean and nicely decorated, and all members of staff were really friendly and helpful. The only two drawbacks: our coke tasted really funny and when we asked to replace it, they said they don’t have any canned or bottled coke. Also, a member of staff who was serving us, kept his mask on at all times but sometimes didn’t cover his nose, which made us feel unsafe. Apart from that, it’s a great place and the food was outstanding!
Excellent experience! Always a great dining place.
Love going to LaVigna. The staff is wonderful and food is always outstanding.
Dinner was delicious as always and the service was great!
La Vigna never disappoints. Great food, wonderful service.
Great food and drinks. Very nice staff. Brink back the weekly pri fix.
So glad my wife and I found this place. We have be coming here for a few years now. All of the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is always excellent be it indoors or outdoors.
Excellent dinner and service. The food and staff are outstanding
Three of us had a delicious meal. This is my second time dining in back-terrace area of La Vigna in COVID-19 times. First time was very nice. Second time even better. Service was professional, warm, courteous and safe. Menu has expanded. We went in the early evening and by the time we were leaving every table was occupied. We shared Mushroom Risotto, Sole piccata and Filet Mignonette with mild black pepper sauce and ended with a Cappuccino Tartufo for dessert.
Outdoor seating was very comfortable, we can’t wait to go back soon.
La Vigna is a neighborhood gem with traditional Italian food. Service is always professional and friendly.
Good service and great food
La Vigna was amazing as usual. It is our favorite Friday night spot. Thank you Vinny for the great service.
Lovely place excellent food good service cozy atmosphere
Took my husband out for Valentine’s Day last Friday and it was not as expected. Maybe because it was a “holiday” but the service was horrendous. It took several attempts for my husband to get a lemon martini that was palatable. Only after asking for what we saw others were being served as a lemon martini did they get it close to being right. Maybe because we are an interracial gay couple. I would hope not. I will say that the food was an unexpected surprise. We had the mussels and clam appetizer as well as the mozzarella and tomato. Both were excellent, seasoned well and very enjoyable. The chicken rollatini was also very good. And the Nutella cake for dessert was warm and moist. But I cannot get over how bad the service was. Once seated it took 15 minutes for a waiter to come over to take our drink order and at least that much time to get our drinks. And some time after that to get a proper lemon martini. Some more time passed before we got bread and another 15 minutes before we ordered dinner. Because service was so slow and it took 3 hours to finish dinner. I will say that the owner was extremely apologetic and did compensate us for the overall bad experience. Maybe they were overwhelmed and understaffed but for me even if the food is outstanding, the bad service is what sticks with you when you leave. Not sure I would go back. Leaning more towards probably not.
The best Italian restaurant in NYC that's not overpriced and not impossible to get a reservation.
La Vigna is a very homey Italian restaurant which left me extremely satisfied not only with the taste and freshness of the food, but also the incredible atmosphere and feel.
Love this restaurant! Great service, great food! Best Pear Martini!
Dinner and service were awesome as usual. Thank you Vinny!
If you like overly salted food - this is the place for you. La Vigna - a small neighborhood spot used to be so much better. Now it's just salt on a plate. Will not be going back.
This is one of the best neighborhood Italian restaurants around. Surprisingly extensive list of specials even on a weeknight. Attentive, professional service, entire menu and wine selections are nicely priced. And it’s quiet enough that one can actually carry on a conversation! Food is consistently excellent ... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND La Vigna.
Amazing specials and great service! Thank you as always for a fabulous Friday night.
Excellent as always! The food was very well prepared, great service, nice relaxing atmosphere.

LaVigna is our favorite place to eat. We enjoyed the most delicious dinner as always and the service was amazing. Thank you Vinny.
This is the best kept secret in Forest Hills. Such a lovely restaurant and the food is fabulous.
