The food was very good however the noise level is very loud. We went to dinner at 6:15 and it was already quite loud. There were a few times I couldn’t even hear what the waitress was saying. But overall experience was good I would go back
We come to this restaurant whenever we go to Longwood Gardens. The food is homemade and exceptional. The raviolis are the best my husband and I have ever had.
Pleasant downtown restaurant. Good service and reasonably priced.
The service was excellent, the food was good (but pricey and not enough food) but the restaurant itself was extremely noisy.
Everything was great again we went on Saturday night and it was very busy we wait for few minutes for a table and we got a nice table by the fireplace!
They really have a very nice wine list we got a bottle of Barolo for $65 very reasonable price and the Dinner was excellent and service was everything on time!
Overall great dining experience and convenient location. Food and drinks were excellent. Service was prompt, the food and flavor matched the surroundings.
Great food, drinks, service - we will be back again!
Very fresh ingredients prepared in traditional manner. Good food and service. Reasonable price. Very enjoyable evening.
Awesome as usual!! We love La Verona, Sam and his team are the best! Food is always great, atmosphere is perfect for family or for a date!
Quiet, clean, awesome selections. Bar drinks are huge!
Nice restaurant. Food and service were excellent. Concert venue next door created a lot of noise.
This is not the first time we have dined here and it certainly won't be the last. Our grandkids go to Kennett High School, so we come over to the area as often as we can. But, even though it is a little less than an hour drive, we have come here just to eat at LaVerona. The wine and martini were great, the service great, the appetizers especially the mushroom soup and the roasted artichokes are incredible. I had veal with prosciutto and it was tender and quite delicious, with a wonderful linguini. Great mushroom dishes as expected in the area. It is worth any drive to come here to dine The host/sometimes bartender is so friendly and gracious; you feel welcome from the moment you step in the door
The food was amazing and the Waiter was very attentive and entertaining.
Highly recommend it. One minus once the live music came in it was impossible to have
a conversation in the dining room.
We went at La Verona for Late Dinner and for music! Everything was excellent and good wine selection and La Verona is one of are favored in area!
There red pasta sauce is so good. I really enjoyed the food.. good ole Italian food
We always enjoy visiting La Verona. The food is great and the staff is so friendly. Pasta is always done perfectly. Great selection of beer and wines. If you are coming out to Longwood Gardens I highly recommend stopping by La Verona. You'll be happy you did.
Friday night 630 dinner for four. The restaurant was surprisingly not busy. We were greeted and seated immediately. I had the seafood and lobster ravioli and it was a large serving. Scallops, calamari in a light marinara sauce over the ravioli. It was tasty and filling. My wife had the veal saltimbocca which was also delicious. Our server gave us consistent but not overbearing attention. And we did not feel rushed to leave. Overall the ambiance felt a little tired. We would visit again.
Very good waitress and the meal was served timely. Good value and would return.
We have eaten at La Verona several time. The food is consistently good and the restaurant is not too loud, so you are able to have a conversation without yelling. The service is great.
Wonderful location, excellent service, supposedly comfortable friendly environment. Greet fireplace added the warmth and charm. Entree was generous and nicely plated. Mushroom soup was best I’ve tasted in years.
Dinner was very good. Was a little noisy but it was New year's Eve so expected.
We got the table by the window that we requested, enjoyed our waiter, had a nice generous properly chilled glass of wine, and liked the menu. Nice location on the main street, with a distant view of the giant mushroom!
Our New Years Eve dinner was excellent. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating and had good suggestions. Pace of meal was perfect. Not too slow and not rushed at all. Great classic Italian and fish entrees, and desserts. They were flexible with our kid's meal as well. Great location in Downtown Kennett Square.
Very good food and great service. Came back for desert after going to Longwood
Great place to eat after a day at Longwood gardens.
We loved it. Food was great - especially mushrooms au gratin a d grilled artichoke.
My veal parm was excellent my husband's veal dish was overcooked.
Owner is very hospitable. Nice service. A little pricey but good food!
Food was overpriced and mediocre, service was terrible.
First time here. Nice place and delicious food! We were there for Christmas Eve after Longwood Gardens.
Wonderful Italian place. Delicious pizza, excellent Bronzino. Server attentive and helpful.
We always have a wonderful time at La Verona. They make you feel at home and cater to your every need
Classic, non-pretentious, delicious Italian food. Staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly! Great spot for comfortable, delicious and affordable meal.
My Mother, her husband and my two young adult daughters ate at this establishment prior to our annual visit to Longwood Gardens. What a treat! From the moment we entered till the second we left we were taken well care of. The atmosphere is simply divine. Our waitress was warm, friendly and accommodating. Our food!! Mouthwatering!! We will definitely return!
We made a last-minute decision to dine here, and a good thing we did. The dinner (seafood in both cases) was excellent. The bar, where we waited for our table, was a bit loud, but once we were seated, conversation was easy.
Haven’t been here in about six months. Tonight we arrived at 6:58 for a 7:00 reservation. Waited at check-in over 5 min. as staff walked by several times. Finally someone came and checked us in. Our server was prompt, polite, respectful and not overly attentive; she struck just the right balance and got everything right. Can’t say the same thing for the food - duck was tasteless and broccoli rabe was tough and stringy. Very disappointing. We were here shortly after opening and chalked those deficiencies up to early bumps. Subsequent visits were ok, not exceptional. Basic issues continue. Tonight was a major failure for us.
La Verona it’s becoming one of our favorite in the area!
Our first visit and definitely not our last. The food was terrific and the service was quick and personable
Waiter was uninterested and mostly absent. Food mediocre at best. Not going back again.
