The food was blah really blah seafood tasted frozen and old. I would not recommend it to anyone.
One of our favorite places in the area always wonderful!
Crab cakes had no crab and no taste
The waiter never told us about the specials therefore assumed the did not have any until the another waiter was reviewing the specials with the table next to us after we had our food
High price and medium quality
Excellent meal and Excellent service. Looking forward to returning for another fine meal.
Great food and very, knowledgeable and friendly service. We have been a few times before and will be back. Highly recommend the risotto.
Love this place. We live in West Chester, and this has become one of our “go to” places.
Food is always wonderful, and the service is great.
Mandy was an amazing server. We had a fantastic meal and cannot wait to return. The band in the bar sounded awesome on Saturday night. We can’t wait to go back without kids and enjoy the live music!
Always great and friendly service. We were there for Dining under the stars.
We had the best time as usual!!! Staff was very attentive and the food was EXCELLENT!!!
Stopped for dinner during a visit to Longwood Gardens. One of the best meals I've had in a long time.
Wonderful dinner. Server customized a dinner to include homemade pasta. Special pasta Fra Diavolo was excellent. Good value on wine. In short, food was great, service was also.
We had a Very nice evening and the food and service were fantastic. We loved the band and dancing after dinner.
We celebrated my granddaughter 9th birthday there. We brought her favorite cup cakes and they were fine with that. Both the food and service were outstanding.
Love this restaurant never disappoints excellent food, great service and excellent wine selection!
Great service and great food, it just doesn't get much better. My wife and I had a window table in the bar; we were also offered tables outside and in dining room. It was light and airy and, even though the bar was fairly busy, quiet. Two servers waited on us and both were excellent. We each ordered one of the evening's specials are were very please. Our cocktails were great and the glasses of wine we ordered were generous. We ended with deserts and then an espresso each. Total bill was more than reasonable. Service was so good we had no difficulty tipping more than 20% and the total bill was still a good value. My only complaint is that we were visiting Kennett Square from our home in the mid-west; I wished La Verona was closer!
A place to feel pampered. Great service and food. The waitstaff appear to be mostly Italian and make their outstanding service feel very upscale and special. The food was delicious and generous. We will return again and again.
Great Italian restaurant with easy and quick access to Longwood Gardens
We ate here twice on our weekend stay.
Great meal and service
Very nice place with a comfortable atmosphere. Food was good and service was attentive. I would definitely come back.
We were in Kennett Square of a workshop and were looking for a good Italian restaurant. This is the place. I ordered the veal piccata which was outstanding. This is a difficult dish to prepare as people's taste regarding the strength of the lemon taste can vary considerably. For me, the balance was perfect. My wive ordered the special half a stuffed lobster over linguini. This was even more outstanding. This is a great restaurant were the menu is fairly priced.
Well, whatever this restaurant is, it’s not Italian. The service was okay if a little forced at times- ie too obsequious. The grilled artichoke appetizer was good. My husband’s veal chop was properly cooked and okay. My pappardelle with Bolognese was okay but not as expected- the sauce was more tomato than creamy. And, frankly, tiramisu should have powdered cocoa on it not Hershey syrup and powdered sugar.
Excellent service! Everyone's food was delicious. An enjoyable evening!!!
My wife and I went for our anniversary. Mike, our waiter, was very nice and helpful. He made great suggestions on dishes and let us take our time and didn’t rush anything. We sat outside and other than the local air raid siren going off, it was quiet.
Our first visit and our 35th wedding anniversary! We could not have picked a better restaurant for an intimate dinner and a great bottle of wine to celebrate. Food was outstanding and our waiter, Omar, is the best there is. We will return for sure.
We had a wonderful lunch and our server even brought my mom tiramisu with “happy birthday” written in chocolate for her 81st birthday! What a special treat-thank you!
We enjoyed our dinner at La Verona, a popular Italian restaurant in Kennett Square. The Mushroom Gratin appetizer was very good - several types of mushrooms and melted cheese over toast points. It's a hearty dish and good for sharing. For entrees we had Chicken Picatta, prepared with a light, flavorful sauce, and the daily meat special, a veal chop prepared with mushroom sauce. Both were excellent. If you like sweet cocktails, try the Peachy Retreat signature cocktail recommended in the Summer 2018 edition of FIG Kennett Square - it was really good. It was a pleasant evening, and we dined at the cafe tables outside the restaurant. However, it was very busy this past Friday night with the Farmer's Market across the street and First Friday Art Stroll in town. For quieter outside dining, come early in the week or ask for a cafe table around the side of the building vs. along State Street.
It was our first time at La Verona, and it was a great experience, from the time we entered until we left. The server was very good and the food was excellent. My wife and I are definitely planning to return.
As usual, great meal and service! we have been many times and are never disappointed with the service or food.
La Verona is always enjoyable with very good Italian dishes and especially good desserts. On this occasion, Kennett Square's Third Thursday outdoor dining event, we were accommodated outdoors despite a slight misunderstanding that a two day previous Open Table booking would only offer indoor seating. It was perfect weather, the furniture was surprisingly comfortable for folding chairs, the food was excellent. However they were woefully understaffed. Waiters were literally running to and from the kitchen, and after serving our appetizers and main courses at the same time as drinks and wine, we didn't see ours again until the check came (almost 2 hours later) with no offer of dessert. We had a wonderful evening, but felt bad for the staff. They should hire some temps or, sadly, accept fewer reservations.
We had a great lunch at the window table good spot excellent value and excellent service!
One of our party needed gluten and dairy free food and that came together well. waitress was very helpful. I ordered a salad that i was fairly certain was supposed to have cheese and it did not. Another friend ordered a Reuben and she said it was quite good. We will go back there.
Very delicious spinach raviolis and reasonably priced wines. Great service!
Don’t bother making a seating request through open table because the owner doesn’t check it
Really disappointing dinner in Kennett Square. The restaurant is drab and outdated, the services was slow and inaccurate and the food was not good.
The food was delicious and the staff very attentive. It was our second time eating there and would highly recommend it for anyone living or visiting Kennett Square. The calamari appetizer and fresh hot bread were tasty and a great start to the meal. We all seemed to have a different parmesan meal; eggplant, chicken and veal. La Verona was amenable to our special requests (substitutions, easy on the sauce, etc) and everything was fresh, hot and very tasty. Great value for the portions, a wonderful neighborhood eatery.
Everyone had a great meal. Service prompt friendly and informed
Our party enjoyed the evening and the food was very good.
A great find thanks to Open Table. Wonderful menu. All meals were delicious!!
Great wine selection and delicious food! Our waiter Mike was excellent!
Busy night for Art Walk- service was professional and knowledgeable, but slow. Duck with Orange sauce was tough and served on the bone. It was hard to cut and seemed over cooked. Adaptions were made to the sides as requested. A band was playing in the other room which added to the noise but could be fun for added activity after dinner. The restaurant is a nice place and in the heart of Kennett, but we had a bad night. Nobody acknowledged that we noted a special birthday on the reservation.
