Here at La Verona we make it the way you like. Our Private room makes your party special and enjoyable. Let us spoil you.
We had a very nice meal. The service was very good and the food was as well. I would definitely return.
Service was excellent and the food top notch! Glad we were able to make a reservation
We purchased a Groupon which could be used Sunday-Thursday. They wouldn’t honor it on the Thursday we were there because it was Valentines Day.
One of our favorite restaurants in Kennett Square area. We have had family dinners there as well as special occasion celebrations as a couple. Love the food, staff and settings.
Our server ( a young woman) I believe you spell it Poi was superb. The food (I had duck, my husband had veal Parmesan was great and the servings were generous) was delicious. Of course we had the mushroom soup and I ordered the roasted artichokes as well. I finished mine off with the tiramisu and a glass of Italian wine that the server suggested. We lingered over dinner in the corner by the fire and then went down to see old friends at the Kennett Flash. Dinner made the evening perfect.
Our experience was the same as always. We were greeted at the door by the owner, Sam who always makes you feel he's extremely appreciative of your dining in his restaurant. We were seated promptly and waited upon by Barb. She was very friendly and professional. Our food was prepared perfectly as usual. We were presented w the specials of the night which my fiancee decided on one of them. She thoroughly enjoyed it. There are many restaurants in this area, but La Verona is absolutely tremendous. We will be back again and again.
The service is always excellent and the food is great.
La Verona is a little gem. Great food and Great service! Wonderful every time!
Very nice. Quiet lunch.
Such an enjoyable place to spend an evening. The food is awesome. In addition to a great menu, the specials are even more so. My husband had a spinach/ricotta manicotti special with seafood topping and I had the swordfish special and they amazing. The service, the owner and the ambience is great. It is a bit toned down of an environment - could be a little livelier. On the nights they have music, the place is exciting but regular nights it is pretty quiet.
Love this l,ace. Even without the Living social coupon, this establishment is one of our go tos.
Awesome as always!!
On a Saturday night parking can be a challenge ... but just go a few streets away to find it. Decent service, good food, what's not to like.
Had to ask our server for the wine and cocktail list...she was hell-bent on getting our order in as if the place was packed. Cocktail came straight up even though ordered on the rocks. Before the cocktails we're finished food started arriving...had to guard the wine list so she didn't take it. Doesn't she understand the more we spend the more she earns?! Soup spoon hidden under bowl and when I asked for one I got a snarky response. Mushroom soup and mushroom granitee were great, veal was CHEWY and lamb shank was just okay.
Food was excellent. Service from Omar was outstanding. Will return.
This is our go to date restaurant. Our table by the fireplace that I requested was ready when we arrived. Staff is always very welcoming and accommodating. Nicole, our server was great! The calamari fra diavolo is my new favorite. Food is always delicious! Wish it was a BYOB but won't stop us from returning.
My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant during the week after our visit to Longwood Gardens. The food was okay for an Italian restaurant. I've had better. The service was very good and prompt. The value of the meal okay.
Server & service a positive. As place got busier, it appeared they could use more help. Three of four meals fine. Fourth, a filet, very fatty, & even questionable whether true filet. Two desserts also fine.
We were in the area visiting Longwood Gardens and went to La Verona at the recommendation of a family member. The food and service were both very good. I’d recommend this restaurant if ever in the area.
Great food and atmosphere
Very good classic Italian dishes and innovative specials. Had the manicotti with spinach, scallops and shrimp special-served in a rose sauce. It was perfectly balanced.
Good overall, but not great. The food was very good, but not out of this world, we were happy with it for the price. The service was slow. I do understand it was a holiday but they seemed to have plenty of staff. We were seated quickly but our waiter moved at a very slow pace and the food took quite a long time.
I highly recommend this restaurant as the food continues to be cooked to perfection and the service terrific. The owner, Sam is a great guy who truly cares about his clientele. We brought our family tonight for Christmas Eve dinner and we all left full and completely satisfied w our meals. We will be back again!!! Thank you from my family to yours. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
We went there on Christmas Eve to do the seven fish special and it was incredible and great Dining experience!
Place was packed busy for Christmas Eve!
The seven fish special was great experience for me we started with the lobster and crab bisque soup
second was fried calamari and shrimp
third quarters was cappellini vongoli and scallops
next was Bronzino and for dessert was canoli!
Food was excellent. Nice location in town with big windows to see outside. Service was very good and food came out fast. Portions were generous. Little loud for those who might prefer quiet, but it’s an Italian restaurant on Christmas Eve, it’s supposed to be loud. Will defintaley be back.
We were there for the lunch menu with a 3:15pm reservation, sadly the only menu that day was the Christmas Eve dinner. Lunch is usually served till 4pm.
Loved the calamari
Not too many options for dinner on short notice but we were able to get a last minute reservation by splitting up our group. When we arrived the manager was able to seat us all together but in a back overflow room, which was fine, just not as fancy as front dining area. Lots to choose from on menu, many drink options. The food however was just ok, not great, not bad but ok. I would try someplace else first before going back but would go back again.
Excellent....wasn't too crowded and there was live music which elevated the overall ambiance.
We went to La Verona on a cold, rainy night after seeing the Christmas displays at Longwood Gardens. We were all really hungry. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating of dietary restrictions. We had fried calamari and grilled artichokes as starters. The artichokes were by far the best thing we had at the whole meal. The calamari was light and not greasy but needed a bit more seasoning. Entrees were simple but filling. A standout was the duck breast. The rest were fine but basic. It was a satisfying meal but no need to rush back.
We had an excellent lunch at La Verona and service was great lunch portions were like dinner portion!
Thinking of lunch or dinner La Verona never disappoints!
We attempted to eat a nice lunch at La Verona during a day trip to the area. We were very disappointed by not only the service, lack of attention and interaction with patrons, during an obliviously very relaxed and not busy time of day, but also the food was very bland and of poor taste. Additionally, it way over priced for a lunch portion and meal.
Amazing time. Great atmosphere. Beautiful place
Our waitress Anisa is fantastic and Sam is always very accommodating to us. This place is the best Italian good around
Great food. Open table worked great. Our server was very nice but I think she had too many tables. Drinks were not refilled, there were long pauses between checks on our table! Food was excellent!!!!
They clearly had a bad night which seems to be happening there . The server was overloaded with tables and came back three time to confirm our order. When each course came out two of us got food and the other two had to wait at least 5 minutes. One main course was cold, crab cakes, they had not been cooked.
The bread was great but requests to refill didn't work. The salads and mussels were great but the main courses were average at best - 3 pasta dishes and one veal dish. Not what it used to be.
Food was excellent, good value. Just a little too noisy for us. Sitting right next to the bar is not very good, difficult to carry on a conversation. Would visit again, only wouldn't sit near the bar.
Comfortable Italian restaurant with well prepared classic entrees, good variety and attentive service. A good choice for dinner after visiting local attractions.
Two of us met there for lunch. My friend had ravioli and I ordered the beet salad. Salad was without romaine because of recall so arugula became a little tiring but maybe it is served that way all the time. Ravioli serving seemed a bit spare but for lunch likely sufficient. One piece of warm bread for each of us. Food was rather standard fare - not overly outstanding. Ambience was great since very few people were there in middle of the week for lunch. No noise. Our waitress was very attentive to our every need - filling water glasses etc. I would definitely return and recommend to friends.
This was our first time to La Verona. Interesting Italian food. Service was good, food was excellent. Piping hot and just the right amount. We had lobster ravioli which came with shrimp and scallops as well, and shrimp scampi which was neither greasy or too garlicky as many are. A nice dinner. We’ll be back.
Excellent food and service. The homemade pasta was light and tasty.
Thought we had eaten here before but not true and we should have earlier. The homemade manicotti was delish, my wife's eggplant Parmesan was almost a three day event (generous), and 6 oz pours for wine by the glass sealed the deal.
