La Vecchia Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We have eaten at this establishment many times and We are never disappointed by the service, food and atmosphere. The people who work at La Vecchia take pride in what they do. The food is mouth watering and the atmaosphere is very casual/romantic. Such a beautiful place.
Excellent cucumber, tomato, and feta salad. Absolutely delish!
Veal for main was also very tasty. Large portions, but could have been hotter.
Service, .... the best!!
Only major complaint was the noise level, very loud on a Sat night.
Might consider putting some noise reduction baffles on the ceilings.
Decor a little tired
Great neighbourhood gem.
Would highly recommend.
We go to this restaurant regularly for special occasions. It is the only place where I actually savour the dishes. However, on this evening, the service was unusually mediocre. I am accustomed to having wait staff that truly enjoy food. This time, though, the waitress seemed rushed and non-committal. Such a shame, as it was a birthday celebration.
I haven't been to a truer Italian restaurant like this in a while. Service missed our entree timing but the incredible taste of our pizza more than made up for it. We loved the atmosphere and the general Italian vibe of the place. It was not new-age or kitschy but just real Italian people making real Italian food.
Wonderful meal, terrific service from Alessandra. We dropped in for lunch on Father's Day. The pizza was excellent, the fish salad was delicious, and the Branzino was amazing. The lemon blueberry cheesecake was awesome!
We will definitely return for a nice dinner soon.
Had a great time! We were celebrating our daughters' graduation from Uof T.
The food was enjoyable and very delicious. We had arrived very late for our reservation because of traffic getting across the city-- thankfully our table was held for us. We are so grateful that the management was very understanding. It was our first time there and we were very impressed with the presentation of the food and how great it tasted. Thanks again for the wonderful evening.
Food was great. Delicious. One of the waiters was quite insensitive and called my daughter an " alcoholic" because she did not wish to order wine with us. She is in fact, a recovering alcoholic for the past 7 yrs! She was startled by his name calling...as was I.
