La Vecchia - Reno
Already have recommended to a lot of friends! Our table requested was not available however you can’t go wrong with any table
We had a great birthday and they brought out candles cake sang HB it was extremely cute! Had a discount on our bill to boot!
They deserved a yuuuuuge tip!! We will return
Food was incredible
Outstanding views due to its placement high up on Skyline Blvd with a big window overlooking downtown Reno. Friendly service and efficient turn around on our orders. All people in our party found their meal choices to taste a bit bland. Restaurant atmosphere seems fairly loud for such a small place; loud enough to make it hard to hear the waiter when he described the specials and to interfere with cross table conversations.
It was very loud. I was seated across from my husband and couldn't hear anything he was saying. The food was good, not great, but good.
Excellent food and service. Well worth the price. Was a bit noisy as it was very busy.
Horrible service and food was not up to par! Great view of the city but that's all that you're paying for. Terrible
Good food, good service. I remember it being great before.
Wonderful food and service. My son took me here for Mother's Day lunch. We started off with salads (one of which was not on the special menu but they made for my son nonetheless). My garden salad with fruit was amazing. The fruit was fresh and sweet and the greens were dressed perfectly. My son ordered the grilled romaine with gorgonzola and candied walnuts. It is delicious as well and is my all time favorite. We then had an entree, my son the Gnocchi and I had the Lobster Ravioli. Delicious! We finished the meal with a dessert - Panna Cotta and Creme Brulee. Both divine! I highly recommend La Vecchia to anyone looking for authentic italian food and great, friendly service!
Went for Mother’s Day. It was a wonderful meal, great attentive service. The only issue was one of the two steaks ordered by our party was incorrectly cook, but it was taken care of.
Outstanding as usual... never a bad meal here. Outdoor Spring dining was wonderful. Only missing one star for value... $165 total for drinks, dinner and dessert seems a bit high for a Reno neighborhood restaurant.
Really nice time.
Amazing service from Julio, and fantastic food!
Delicious food, and Julio takes most excellent care of us. There's a reason this is our "go to" restaurant.
The food was very good and our waiter was attentive. I had the Spinach ravioli in brown butter sauce. It was delicious. For dessert I had the bread pudding which was very good. I have been to the restaurant many times and have never been disappointed.
Food was excellent and service was on point.
Three of us had a wonderful dinner at La Vecchia. That evening one of the specials was risotto with lamb shank. We each chose that dish and it was absolutely fantastic. I have a big problem with chefs over salting. We had been out to dinner a couple of weeks before, at a different restaurant, and I sent my dinner back. It was so salty I couldn't have told you what the dish was (sweetbreads). Thankfully, this evening the risotto was perfectly seasoned. And that was not only my opinion but the opinions of the other two people at the table.
La Vecchia is a favorite of ours. My husband has to be gluten-free and they are very accommodating with their menu. It makes eating out a more enjoyable experience when you can be sure the restaurant knows what it really means and has dishes clearly marked on the menu.
Their food is very good and the service is equally good. My only complaint (nitpicky) is that the decor could be freshened a bit. It's a little tired looking.
1st time here, our last experience for a special occasion dinner at another "Italian" restaurant was so dismal, we were a bit gun shy and skeptical. But our experiences at La Vecchia was the best! I had requested a window table when I made the reservation, and my Wife and I were ushered straight to a lovely table with a view (good communications.) The meal was excellent, beyond our expectations, our server, a gentleman, took fabulous care of us! In a word, Bella!
This is my favorite restaurant for a reason. The food is always amazing, the service was especially good as we had Lindsay for the first time. She was friendly and knew the menu. We really enjoyed her.
Great as always
Amazing! Food was cooked perfectly, the staff is professional and courteous. It was our first trip but certainly won’t be our last!
Has the feel of a quality Italian bistro. The wine list is good. Plenty of selection top to bottom. The service was timely , friendly and accurate. Filet mignon was tough ( medium rare ) over seasoned with rosemary. Chicken ravioli was so-so. I would give them another chance.
Great menu hurt standing food, but service was extremely disappointing.
Experience was perfection from beginning to end. I asked for a window side table to celebrate a special occasion and got it! The staff was all so friendly and the food is so amazing. Fresh pasta at an incredibly reasonable price. Such nice smaller Italian restaurant in Reno with actual legit Italian fare.
Consistently excellent food and nice friendly service
Very nice northern Italian fare. We went for Ravioli Monday, where a flat charge included an entree, glass of wine, and salad OR dessert. The food was quite good and offered number of good choices for our vegetarian companions. The chef's special ravioli was a cheese and duck dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm a fan from well before their move to Skyline Blvd. and over the years have hosted a number of larger dinners at La Vecchia and they are always accommodating and the food and service do not disappoint.
Great food as always.
Our waiter was fantastic.
One member was celebrating a birthday so our waiter gave us our dessert complimentary.
Hands-down best fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had! It’s not on the menu, but it is worth ordering every single time! The service is top notch with the service staff paying careful attention to the needs of every table. Great experience!
Overpriced & underwhelming.....
Veal was tough
Pasta under cooked
Ceasar dressing very very anchovie flavor
This Italian restaurant, which has a decent service and reasonable food price could be a hidden gem. The place doesn’t feel like a high end, but family friendly, so it is worth going if you like Italian food and don’t mind the crowded atmosphere.
Calamari so-so lobster bisque 👍ravioli very good flank steak with temernio was 👍 enjoyed very much.
We went for dinner. Recommended by a friend. Had very relaxing atmosphere and good view of casinos. There were quiet tables and even a banquet room with additional seating with views
outstanding and romantic valentines day would go back anytime
This is my favorite restaurant for a reason. The food is always amazing. This time we had a different server, Kevin, and he was great. He had knowledge about the menu and the specials. He let us enjoy our food and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We had a table by the window and had a fantastic view. Everyone had something different, and we enjoyed everything.
Finally found Italian cuisine in Reno. Having moved from the Bay area in recent months we've been looking for authentic Italian food. Excellent!
Very sweet spot with the appeal of a view of the city at night.
Comfortable, sincere, if not sophisticated, staff, and very good food. We will return. The duck confit paparadelle was wonderful. Scallops, that was a chef's special, were very good.
One may half order a pasta as a side/starter and that is a lovely accommodation.
Well worth a try for a bit of romance over very good food.
Great place to take friends and clients away from the main resort hotels.
Literally the worst dining experience I’ve had in Reno. The service was pedestrian and unskilled. Each course was worse than the rest. Hot food took over an hour to arrive, and when it did it was inedible. When confronted with the issues, the “manager” was condescending and less than helpful. Avoid this establishment at all costs
This was our first visit to La Vecchia and it was a real pleasure. The food was excellent and the the service friendly and efficient.
Great place. The Eggplant appetizer is excellent. I had the nightly special - Osso Buco with mushroom risotto - and it was wonderful. The view of sunset on Reno donwtown was a very nice backdrop for an excellent meal. We'll be back for one of the Monday night Prix Fixe ravioli specials for sure.
Excellent meal for four. Would like more pasta choices.
